literally i hate the dad sneaker trend so much 😭 i just don’t get why you’d ruin such a lovely outfit with such a heinous pair of shoes 🥲 but then again someone probably thinks the same about my tiny bangs and massive boots 😂
hahaha the funny thing is that I think they actually are objectively ugly...but I think people know that when they wear them 🥲 as for the platforms & bangs - living it there with you girl 😂
I got a pear of cheaper and lightly used Frye boots because it was the perfect warm, brown shade. They are so uncomfortable… I’ve only worn them a few times. I do think they’re high quality, but they’re just not for me. I’ve also *never* been into the dad sneaks. I’m really not a sneaker person, but I got a pair of chunky high top converse and love them. It’s cool to have casual shoes with a platform.
Oh no!! That's very interesting to hear - especially since they were already "broken in". as for the dad sneaks, I'm glad I'm not alone :') I also have a pair of the platform converse! I agree, its good to have atleast one option
I don't know if it is a global trend or not, but since last year here in Japan I have been seeing alot of people wearing heavily accessorized Crocs. I have never liked Crocs, I think they're ugly, they make your feet extra sweaty and I don't understand why they are treated like some sort of edgy fashion item... I understand that a lot of ppl love Crocs because they're versatile and somewhat comfortable, I also see why someone would wear them to go out to throw trash etc but embellish them with beads, puppets and bottons to dress up still looks really off to me.
yep, it's definitely a global trend!! I probably would have included them but (i think) I mentioned them in a fashion dislikes video about 2 years ago, so decided to go easy on the croc lovers this time. but ya, totally agree with you and can't say I'm a fan either 🥲
As someone with wide feet I’m pro dad shoe for comfort reasons though I do wish more of women’s shoes were designed with a wider shoe box yet maintaining cute designs… 😭 been wearing my new balances and docs because there’s barely any alternatives for cute yet wide casual footwear. also yes to bubble skirts being questionable… I understand it’s interesting but it just looks off imo
Yeah I don't get the hype of those yellow Fry boots, the color is ugly and only goes with a few things. I would like some in dark rich brown, but the pricetag is too high. The challenge is I can never find sort of wide all the way through boots, instead of tight at the ankle, so I do like the shape and sole, but I would get a cheaper brand. I don't need it to last my entire life. :D
Yeah, I think you could still find something cheaper that's also high-quality! They are charging people for the "label/brand name" - but tbf there are tons of well-known brands that don't even charge that much. I hope you manage to find something that works for you
do you agree/disagree with any of the trends I mentioned? :) which trends are you skipping on? ☆

@ I think the issue with Frye is the soles are hardly padded
