Here we are building our dream compost toilet after spending the first year on our homestead going to the toilet in the bushes, with a shovel and a knife, fighting for our place amongst the grunting wild boar. Anyone have any other interesting wilderness toilet experiences? Would you consider switching to a compost toilet for the rest of your life like I’m forcing Robbie to do?
Get into making bio-charcoal! Great for your composting toilet and chicken coop. It helps reduce the smell while absorbing the nutrients in the matter, then you can use as compost on your plants. As your creating the bio-char you can even use the heat and cook things too.
There are channels with videos, then there are a few channels with videos and a few outtakes, and then there is this channel with … only outtakes? 🙃You're a seriously funny family and a breath of fresh air on TH-cam. I enjoy your videos a lot!

Oh goodness, where is your work? Which country? - we hope not spain with those rattlesnakes! ❤️
@@ladyandtheowlmanLive in northern New Mexico, high altitude dessert mountain climate, big agricultural for here, I work for a propane gas company and surrounded by pastures, alfalfa fields and irrigation ditches, the toxin in this region is high, one bite can kill a horse.
Our ancestors have been here for 500 years the conquistadores, they made it to Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, California, Coronado went all the way to Canada and back.
Ah Northern new Mexico wow that's so cool you're watching our videos all the way from there! What is your average rainfall there? We don't like the sounds of those snakes!! ❤️
@@ladyandtheowlman about 16 inches, this year probably closer to 20, years vary and we do get our respective monsoons when we get afternoon thunderstorms nearly every day for weeks
Are you on Instagram too🎉❤
YES! @ladyandtheowlman and @nakedmarmite is my personal one. Although I don’t go on there often 🤦🏻♀️🧡
You probably have found out by now, but just in case: that's most probably a ladder snake - and it's not very dangerous and non-venomous. It's also pretty common and no endangered species.
Having written that: there are some pretty dangerous snakes in Spain, and there's no reason to be careless.

Thank you for your comment! That's good to know!! It's pretty terrifying to touch a coiled up snake in your vegetables even if it isn't venomous! So weird it was living in that little hole! We see a lot of snakes everyday here, but we've never seen one of the venomous ones, but thank you for reminding us we'll be careful! ❤️
