I think that if your flagship is new enough to still receive software and security updates, you've a phone more than capable for the average user's needs. Novelty is fun and exciting but when we're talking $1000+ devices, people should exercise some financial caution, imho.
Get the s24 ultra, the last with the multi-chip do-it-all stylus, s25 won't support half of the available functions and compatibility of the s24ULTRA ....
I really hope the rumors about the 16GB variant only being available in Asia are wrong. The RAM bump is a big reason why I want to upgrade from my Z Fold 5 (aside from the fact that I'm wary of the foldable technology)...
I think it would be wiser to wait until the S26 line. I think the S25 line is not enough. In my case, after being a consistent Samsung customer since the S8, for the first time, I am going to wait unless Samsung comes out with a crazy deal that really convinces me. I think the current deals are not enough for what is being offered. Time will tell. It all depends on Samsung.
People say this exact thing after every release, it's getting old. It's always "wait until the next phone, this isn't enough of an upgrade". Well of course it's not if you're coming from an S24 or S23 Ultra. What do you actually expect them to change at this point that would be so drastic? Sure they can increase battery size and charging speeds and things like that, but smartphones have mostly plateaued for everyday usage. So if you always wait for the next one, you'll be waiting forever.
@WizeGuyDezignz I have to agree with you. If the OnePlus 13 works for me, I think I will stay with it. The OnePlus 14 will be even better. Honestly, I think this is not going to be a good year for Samsung. Time will tell, I suppose.

@densewatermelon4277 the ai all runs on the S21 base with 8 gigs of ram. It also currently runs fine on 6 gigs of ram on A series devices. One Ui 7 Ai is barely different from 6.1

zfold 6 or s25u??? decisions. i realmente love the big screen of my fold4. I use it openned all the time. I do IT home office and youtube is always playing.
No way in hell I'm downgrading from the S24U to the S25U. I have more features now and the chipset isn't enough of a pull to make anyone switch. They not only took away the Bluetooth from the S-pen, they also took away the corners that distinguished it as the flagship note model.
I'm completely folded out been stuck on this fold 4 never upgraded to the 5 or 6 just wasn't enough of a change they look identical to me..I'm gonna get the s25 ultra. The fold thing was cool but the outside screen and the plasticky inner screen and lackluster cameras and the glitchy crashing software is all a big pain
I will upgrade to oneplus. If Samsung keeps 12gbs, same cameras, same battery, same charging, and takes away bluetooth in pen what am I paying for besides the chip?
I've had the Note 2, S8, S8+, Note 8 , Note 20 Ultra. Only reason I would upgrade now is if my Note 20 totally gets broken. There hasn't been anything significant for me since Note 20 Ultra.
U should trade it in b4 it get to late an thy offer nothing for ya phone, ull definitely be happy everything will be better an worth it, battery is #1 if nothin else
I own a Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, S22 Ultra, and currently utilize the S24 Ultra; however, I am uncertain about the necessity of an upgrade. I plan to upgrade to the S27, bypassing the S26.
Will most likely be upgrading my phone alittle early come February when the s25U comes to Canada. My Bell contract is not up until August where I can upgrade but I figured if I switch as soon as it comes out start a fresh 2 years then every 2 years can get the lastest new samsung device as soon as it comes rather then 6 months down the road months before the 26U comes out.
Definitely! Samsung isn't doing enough and is getting left in the dust by other phone manufacturers. The OnePlus Open 2 is looking and sounding awesome.
From other reviews, they said it's not worth the upgrade. I just traded my S23 Ultra for the S24 Ultra for a trade-in difference of $499.00 with Samsung direct every year. This is the highest price I have ever paid. The 23 was $299.00. With this being said, I think it was worth it. On the 25, I'm not so sure. I use this for photography as a handy camera to carry around besides everyday usage.
Coincidentally my S22 Ultra has been having some issues lately, oh well I'll see what I can get for it on trade in and finally get rid of the pink "red" color I got scammed into ordering online
So many cry baby comments! Has Apple ever gave $900 for your year old device? Or $750 for a 2 year old device? I'm paying $519 for a new 1T phone and I'll do it again next year.
I guarantee you everyone that says they aren't upgrading or you should not upgrade, they use iPhones. And they have been buying the same phone every year since the iPhone has been out
The prizes in Belgium are coming in; 1449 euro for the 256GB, 4 colors, also blue. The 512GB 1569 euro. They are crazy. Luckely providers do i good job here and everyone can buy 1. 1TB 1809 euro haha. And 16GB ram it is for the 512GB and 1TB, i hope. And watch 7 also in the price. Gonna be great deals from samsung again. By telenet you can by all that phones 300 euro cheaper. With the others you can buy it cheap with an abonnement for example 300-500 euro.
I thought the 16 gigs of RAM was going to be for other countries and not here I keep hearing that so what is it 12 or 16 here in America they keep spraying rumors that it's in China or somewhere else so I'm hoping it's here this is crazy they're downgrading the s25 ultra The S-Pen is downgraded and now the the gigabytes of RAM NO😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
If you have S24 Ultra, I don't think you should upgrade. Cameras are almost the same, so is the battery. Yeah, internals will be 10% more this, 15% more that. But does it really matter?
I have the S24 Ultra. I do NOT like the iPhone-like round corners on the S25 Ultra. And losing the bluetooth features of the S Pen are also a showstopper for me. There's just nothing on the S25 Ultra that can overcome just how ugly it is for me.
I currently have the Oneplus 13 and that phone I'm sure blows the S25 Ultra out of the water since it has a 6000Mah battery plus up to 100W wired charging! Come on Samsung! Lol I still have my S24 Ultra in the drawer...
@@livolas haha lol and better chip, and with better chip comes better video and photo processing for example. Hopefully i can ditch gemini for bixby but i dought it. I have s24U and also switching lol you're not alone hahah
@@yordyovalleslima2925 the better chip is a given every year, and not thanks to samsung. You really are insane to upgrade from the s24u. I am only upgrading from exynos s21u cuz i want a storage upgrade and more battery life. Probably if i didnt have the storage problem, i d wait for s26u. This is really the same phone for 5 years now.
I have s24u, my wife s22u. I gave her my s22u when I upgraded to s24u. I see that neither one of us is using the phone to full potential. May be my camera is little better, but most of us are taking pictures for memory purpose and not to get the most possible quality. And both phones are fast enough for all the applications we use. Who really cares if we wait few milliseconds longer? All this hype of better phones and speeds is marketing and are selling points you will forget after a few days and the first excitement calmed down. So no upgrade for my wife and myself.
Gaslaxy 25 Ultra! But i get the hate that people are giving this phone, but at the same time, people gotta chill out lmao. All the hate you see is the body design change, battery size, cameras and price. 1, the squared look is just that, it's a look. I always get the plus because I don't like the feeling of holding the sharp corners ALL day. Who cares about looks? You afraid someone will judge you for having a Samsung? 2, in terms of battery, i can see the argument. Chinese phones are getting to 6,500-7,000 mah batteries. But Samsung and these *gigantic conglomerates* start planning the next update as soon as they're done the current generation. Thats how schematics and designs work, they more than likely had the design and plans for the 25U cemented by the time the new silicon battery tech was introduced into phones. 3, the cameras is the only complaint that I agree with. They are the same with a decent upgrade to the Ultra wide. You can upgrade the software as much as you want but it'll be limited to the hardware it has. They should have implemented a new 1 inch sensor, it's stupid. 4, the price. The snapdragon 8 elite processor, titanium body, which i seen on GSMPhone arena that the 25U will use Grade 5 Titanium, which is much more premium and expensive than the Grade 2 titanium in the 24U. Those 2 factors alone will give the phone a good enough upgrade. What im disappointed about is Samsung not using the M14 OLED display and sticking with M13+. It's an upgrade from the 24U, but not as good as other flagships. There are reasons to hate a phone, and all the hate I've seen so far is idiotic. If you're not satisfied with the 25U, wait for the 26U or whatever they'll call it. I'm sure they will update the display, battery and implement a new camera system. For now, this just feels like the 25U is meant to perfect what the 24U was supposed to be.
I would happily wait, but i need a storage upgrade and my exynos s21u is old enough. I really hate it to upgrade to the same phone with a different chip. That's what i said last year, i will wait for the next one and it is the same damn thing all over again. So yeah, i hate this phone, but i will get it anyway.
@livolas I'm upgrading to this phone, and i love it. I always get the Plus variants because I don't like the boxy feel of the Ultras. It's just much more comfortable in hand. But the way i see it, upgrades should be at a minimum every 2nd year, which is what I'm doing. You are in the perfect ballpark to upgrade to this phone. And I'd argue that is a better decision overall! The 24U had hiccups when it first launched, people forget that. But the 25U is the 24U but perfected, it should run smoother than the 24U did at launch. So if you get this phone, then trade it in for the 27 Ultra, or whatever it'll be called, thats the better decision. That way all of the kinks will be worked out in the 26U.
Samsung took the man phone away the square of the 24 Ultra is what made the phone. No need to upgrade chip set will help efficiency and a 24 always have a has enough efficiency, big boost on the camera and they change the battery to charge it faster so you can spend more money.

No way in hell I'm downgrading from the S24U to the S25U. I have more features now and the chipset isn't enough of a pull to make anyone switch. They not only took away the Bluetooth from the S-pen, they also took away the corners that distinguished it as the flagship note model.
I like upgrading every year because i love having good battery life and a fasr processor. After 2 or 3 years i always notice battery degradation
Least every 2 years for me
I'm completely folded out been stuck on this fold 4 never upgraded to the 5 or 6 just wasn't enough of a change they look identical to me..I'm gonna get the s25 ultra. The fold thing was cool but the outside screen and the plasticky inner screen and lackluster cameras and the glitchy crashing software is all a big pain
If Samsung is going to give me $900 for my S24 Ultra, I'm upgrading now rather than only getting $400 next year.
Still confused if upgrade from my S22 ultra Exynos to S25 ultra?
Does more ram make the phone run hotter or cooler?
I will upgrade to oneplus. If Samsung keeps 12gbs, same cameras, same battery, same charging, and takes away bluetooth in pen what am I paying for besides the chip?
I have the 23 ultra is it worth upgrading to the 25 ultra or the s25 line ?
No, less camera zoom and no S Pen bluetooth
It is never worth upgrading after 2 years. A minimum of 3 years if you wanna feel some difference, ideally 4.
Nope, I'm on the s23 ultra as well, this phone is perfection. The only thing to wait for now is the future of AR glasses.
nope
My Bell contract is not up until August where I can upgrade but I figured if I switch as soon as it comes out start a fresh 2 years then every 2 years can get the lastest new samsung device as soon as it comes rather then 6 months down the road months before the 26U comes out.
zfold 6 or s25u??? decisions. i realmente love the big screen of my fold4
I think I'm going to wait until the S26 at least, which will probably have the new silicon carbon battery tech.
I'll sell my soul to Satan before I dare buy an Apple iPhone 😂😂😂
They're screwing the US market on the 16gb upgrade
Has anybody seen them on display in stores?
I am saving my money for the Oneplus fold 2.
Definitely! Samsung isn't doing enough and is getting left in the dust by other phone manufacturers. The OnePlus Open 2 is looking and sounding awesome.
Okay cool thanks for making this content because I'm still using the samsung s23 ultra so I'm definitely upgrading after this video ✅📌🏆🎯
And they have been buying the same phone every year since the iPhone has been out
Looking to upgrade from the S22 Ultra to the S25 Ultra
I don't think 16GB of RAM models are available in the US market only 12GB of RAM is what I'm seeing.
Hi Gregg, What watch do you use? 👍
looks like the watch 7. But not so much the topic of the video.
looks more like the One Plus watch
The prizes in Belgium are coming in; 1449 euro for the 256GB, 4 colors, also blue.
The 512GB 1569 euro. They are crazy. Luckely providers do i good job here and everyone can buy 1.
1TB 1809 euro haha.
And 16GB ram it is for the 512GB and 1TB, i hope.
And watch 7 also in the price.
Gonna be great deals from samsung again.
By telenet you can by all that phones 300 euro cheaper.
With the others you can buy it cheap with an abonnement for example 300-500 euro.
The Titanic blue 💙🔵 is pretty.
I thought you were joking when you started talking about the 0.1 inch display increase. Who's even going to notice that? 🤦🏻♂️
I thought the 16 gigs of RAM was going to be for other countries and not here I keep hearing that so what is it 12 or 16 here in America they keep spraying rumors that it's in China or somewhere else so I'm hoping it's here this is crazy they're downgrading the s25 ultra The S-Pen is downgraded and now the the gigabytes of RAM NO😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
They're keeping the high ram 16gb exclusive to asia so f them tbh I'll wait.
I'm still debating to upgrade because my Note 9 is still a beast.
Not if you have S24U, the only case in which you don't have to upgrade
If you have S24 Ultra, I don't think you should upgrade. Cameras are almost the same, so is the battery. Yeah, internals will be 10% more this, 15% more that. But does it really matter?
I have the S24 Ultra. I do NOT like the iPhone-like round corners on the S25 Ultra. And losing the bluetooth features of the S Pen are also a showstopper for me. There's just nothing on the S25 Ultra that can overcome just how ugly it is for me.
I have an s24 ultra, but i will instead for 26 ultra
I don't think comfort matters when most people have a phone case. At least I hope they would on a 11to 1,300 device. 🤔
I have a 22 ultra right.i think the 24 ultra is going to be my sweet spot 🎉
I currently have the Oneplus 13 and that phone I'm sure blows the S25 Ultra out of the water since it has a 6000Mah battery plus up to 100W wired charging! Come on Samsung! Lol I still have my S24 Ultra in the drawer...
I currently use the S24 Ultra and would consider upgrading when they release the S25 Slim.
Totally agreed
Inshallah i will definitely upgrade from s24 ultra to s25 ultra alot has changed and is better
Like what?? What is the big difference that makes you want to switch?
@@yordyovalleslima2925round corners and better ultrawide. Oh, that's it? I thought i'd have a longer list 😅
Thanks Greg!
Samsung took the man phone away the square of the 24 Ultra is what made the phone. No need to upgrade chip set will help efficiency and a 24 always have a has enough efficiency, big boost on the camera and they change the battery to charge it faster so you can spend more money.
No you shouldn't upgrade, unless you have a 10 year old phone. S24 ultra is way way nicer phone
