By law, due to you having footage of the referee not showing the card. You can appeal the card as he hasn't clearly shown that he has booked the player therefore he isn't completing his role as a red properly. It's nit picky stuff but as a level 4 ref myself, that's a basic thing you get picked up on!:) all in all, this is my fave TH-cam channel though smih!:) great footage!:) much better than reality fc!
Love you videos they are the best I really enjoy watching them. I've been watching you for a long time now. Every time you upload I watch it straight away. You are one of my favourite TH-camrs I love you snickers and great 👍🏻 commentary it is class
Love this channel watched it for about 3 - 4 weeks now and told my team mates to watch it at Wolves and see if they remenber the old days in Sunday league football 😂
Really appreciate these videos. They are great. Was some proper decent, firm challenges, but little moaning and mouthing off. The way sunday league should be. Oh, and sack your keeper :)
I believe that in the 'FIFA Laws of the Game' rulebook it is stated that a referee is to clearly display the card to the offending player once the offence has been observed as such. However I'm not too clear on what happens if the referee fails to do so but still puts the card in the league system as a recorded foul. I'm sure there is a process in each league professional or not but I'm unsure as to whether in the official referee handbook what is the procedure for failure to book a player with the physical card. I don't think there is a precedent in football to recall a decision like that as per the 'FIFA Laws of the Game' rulebook, as it was a foul, but in league specific terms you may be able to rescind a decision.
This is very late, sorry. The referee is supposed to show the card, but if he forgot to show it but recorded it as such, the card still counts and the ref will probably just get told off by his assessor. Although, because of this mistake by the ref, the player has grounds to appeal the card to the local FA disciplinary committee. It may get overturned due to this.
He's supposed to show a card by the letter of the law, but because he overlooks it or choses not to, that does not negate the booking. It's just an administrative error.
So what exactly is good about toogood because i've watched quite a few videos now and seen nothing to warrant a nickname like that unless it's just a piss take.
as a long as the card is visible to the player and his team mates the card stand. If the ref doesn't shown the card but has written in the book what the offence is then booking counts. I would have booked this as it looked like the player was through on goal this is classed as a reckless challenge.
Maybe the ref just forget then, or was from the 50's before the invention of the yellow card. They really should have shown a card, but I guess it doesn't matter as long as the player knows. Referee's used to take the players name in the wallet before the invention of the yellow card (there was only red), hence the term 'booking.'
Shouldn't count as someone hit me in a game and ran off before the ref produced a red and the league didn't ban him for it because the red wasn't shown
To all those saying they need a new keeper.... Sunday league football isn't about winning. Yeah its nice, but thats not what its ultimately about. The most important thing is getting together with your mates, having a laugh, a kick around and a moan at the ref before going down pub for a pint or ten. & I'm sure most of the lads in the team would agree with me.
+Smiv I used to play Sunday League myself 'til tendonitis and ACL injury meant I had to quit and we used to do the same. Though we were too young to go for a pint so we all had cokes while our parents had the pints 😂
unlucky Palmers FC you were beaten 5-1 over Thurrock Allstars team were good on day. Don't worry you got lot improve on for your team come on Palmers FC.
I frequently watch this channel because of it's great humor. I am a referee and assessor myself and i appreciate what 'James Walton' has said but when I was completing my training I was always told that if i forgot to take my yellow card onto the pitch i can still caution a player. The card is just used to communicate to everyone involved and around that he is being punished for his actions. However, if you were being assessed as a referee you would be majorly marked down for not showing it as it is very basic.
Hey Matt, thanks for this. We got the same clarification from the Eesex FA. As long as the conversation between the ref and the player so he knows where he stands it's fine, it's really used to communicate to everyone else like you said

Shaun just had a bad day, hes a great keeper
Is there number 6 the one that was going "Stick that on TH-cam" in a later video?

Just wondering if any of the players have another team on a Saturday? Really nice touches and awareness from some of the lads!
A lot of the guys play mid week for 5 or 6 a side teams which I guess helps
Love the commentary
Cheers man!
He's supposed to show a card by the letter of the law, but because he overlooks it or choses not to, that does not negate the booking. It's just an administrative error.
Do you have two kids I knew a girl called bronte mullholland
Another good video by you ;) keep up the good work :)

Nice one man!
Smiv ur vids are great
brilliant video mate!
Connor revins Cheers Connor!
Love the videos 👍
Thank you! 👍
Toogood looks like Salomon Rondon..
That's what I was thinking 😂😂
He reminds me of Tuco
Always think someone is gonna smack in a screamer when the music kicks in!
In the most recent laws of the game, if you show a card but don't write it in its not a caution, if you write it but don't show it, it still counts.
I love your videos
So what exactly is good about toogood because i've watched quite a few videos now and seen nothing to warrant a nickname like that unless it's just a piss take.
i dont undertstand what swallow means? explaination pls
His surname is toogood...
Well played lads come back strong next week 😂 no when I saw the title I thought u were gunna have a massive comeback not just classic banter!😂
best Sunday league team ever
Vids are class a good footballing side👍
Nice one Brett!
Unedited handbag moment! 1:55!
I scored a goal directly from a corner on Saturday I didn't know anything about it though we lost 5-1
YESSSSS FINALLY I LOVE UUU
as a long as the card is visible to the player and his team mates the card stand. If the ref doesn't shown the card but has written in the book what the offence is then booking counts. I would have booked this as it looked like the player was through on goal this is classed as a reckless challenge.
Gay
Reckless more like cynical 😂 thought you knew everything 😭 ?
u know nothing about tackles
Sorry Howard webb
Is ronaldo your inspiration teaching people to dive
I love the Sunday league
And the Sunday League loves you!
Did the player get the fine for the booking in the end? The ref might have just been correcting something in his book.
Yeah we had the fine come through
Maybe the ref just forget then, or was from the 50's before the invention of the yellow card.
They really should have shown a card, but I guess it doesn't matter as long as the player knows.
Referee's used to take the players name in the wallet before the invention of the yellow card (there was only red), hence the term 'booking.'
The ref may of put a warning so he knows to book him if he does it again
Love the sarcasm
👍
Shouldn't count as someone hit me in a game and ran off before the ref produced a red and the league didn't ban him for it because the red wasn't shown
Whenever someone asks me "what's your favourite Orange kit" i always say Palmers #Palmers
How many people ask you this?
+Toby Turner Not very often but when they do...
The annotation are not working Help What are the videos!!!!
you should make some football challenge videos
To all those saying they need a new keeper.... Sunday league football isn't about winning. Yeah its nice, but thats not what its ultimately about.
The most important thing is getting together with your mates, having a laugh, a kick around and a moan at the ref before going down pub for a pint or ten. & I'm sure most of the lads in the team would agree with me.
Spot on my friend! Well said 👍🏻
+Smiv I used to play Sunday League myself 'til tendonitis and ACL injury meant I had to quit and we used to do the same. Though we were too young to go for a pint so we all had cokes while our parents had the pints 😂
Smiv: oh! Cheeky
unlucky Palmers FC you were beaten 5-1 over Thurrock Allstars team were good on day. Don't worry you got lot improve on for your team come on Palmers FC.
This game is looking like Bournemouth

Very unlucky defeat well played gg
Nick is beast
technically he has to show the card for it to be a booking
You dont need to put the card in the air but the player has to see the card otherwise is dienst count
3:15 lol
Judging by that league table, I can see why they play for St Clere's reserves and not the first team...
SkThe Janner I know, I don't know how they do it but they turn up every week and keep on going, fair play to them!
is it me or does toogood run like hes always confused???
You don't need to produce the card, the card is for the benefit of the other players to see that he has been booked
come on you palmers !!!!
Would anyone else love to see smiv up top with rondon next season?
Id love it but he's got a dodgy ankle
You must have healing powers smiv soon got up
kyle kendrick I know right!
Yes
Where are your guys from
They play in an Essex league, so I assume Essex
+Eddy T well yeah after a while of watching their vids I got that but thanks anyway;)
vamos palmers!
I'm a ref he has too show the card or else you have the right to appeal jt
Where's Andy the ref?
That was like watching Tottenham vs a team like Real Madrid................................,.....,.,.,...........lol jk.Great channel.
It wasn't great was it!
Shaun's a god
does smiv play the football
He got an ankle injury and doesn't really play anymore
Thanks
The ref does not have to show a card the card is just for communication so other know what going on
Smiv, so every yellow card the team has to actually pay £10? lol, good vids btw!
That's correct my friend!
Did you tell Jamie he gets a extra chocolate bar or you'll buy him a beer later ??
MatthewHoggett1400 Not at all, I just have the gift!
What happens if there is a red card produced? do you have to pay £20?
not sure on exact amount but it is a fine
UnlimitedGamingPros The reasons I don't play Sunday League. :P
We've never had it but it's either £20 or £30 off the top of my head
It's £30
I like smiv:-)
