Merced was my home town growing up. It's been over years, 2015 was the last time i visited from Northern cali to central valley to San Diego to grand canyon back to the heartland of America. I just happened to come across this story, and it's kind of similar to the one I heard when I was a young lad living in Merced back in the 1980s. The story I heard then involved 4 Hmong guys coming down to Fresno for the Hmong New Year and they picked up an American girl, not a Hmong girl, who also died a year or two earlier. The story I heard was around 1987, and I was sooo scared to drive on highway 99 at night in those days.One time I went to pick up this Moua girl as my date to our senior prom, and I kept looking at the rearview mirror to see if there was anyone sitting on the back seat on my way to pick her up and after I dropped her off.

Funny how Stockton New Year is somehere in November and Fresno New Year is at the end of December but the story said it's only a few days apart. I almost fell for it haha. Good story tho.

I was at some gas station in west lane off 99 when this hot hmong girl ask me for a ride to Fresno. And now we're married n had 2 kids. The End
