Miller and Zibanejad are roughly the same: in terms of production (0.81PPG vs 0.79PPG), salary $8mil/AAV vs $8.5mil/AAV (both with same remaining terms), both are the same age, both on the PP and PK.... Zibanejad has a bit more of a track record in the post-season, Miller with slightly better faceoff percentage, Mika is taller but JT is heavier. One huge advantage Zibanejad has, is that he's the coveted 1st line right shot centre. On paper, it's pretty much a fair trade.
It is a 100% fair trade. Z for some reason is not a good fit with Drury. VANCOUVER LOST 2-1 yesterday. AGAIN! Miller has had his chances to show that he can pick up the slack. He cannot.

It’s gotta be Zibanejad + Schneider for JT Miller + Desharnais. Only way it works. They obviously won’t give up Lafreniere, he’s the future at forward of their organization. While most of their defense core are young and still have lots of time left. And if Miller blocks all trades to other teams then I guess the only player who’s trade able is Pettersson, which there doesn’t seem to be any teams willing to trade a star player for a star player and keep trying to give us scraps. I say we just ride it out and call this season an L. Maybe it will work out better next year.
