Though, the gambit wouldn't have worked if Mechamaru hadn't gaslit Choso into focusing his attention on him.
It’s not just the heroes (jujutsu sorcerers) that went full out on this arc but so did the villains. hanami, choso, dagon, jogo, and mahito, I have nothing but respect for their abilities powers even if they are using it for their own evil, everyone fought at their peak in this arc
Choso isn't even actually a villain. He had a good right fir his revenge and had his reasons for helping Mahito + Gang, but wasn't actually a part of them
The finisher was such a nice diversion. Doing the on beat back and forth between Yujis and Chosos face as a callback to the end of season 1, but this time it fails and Yuji is countered into oblivion.

Yuji is always at a disadvantage for 1. just joining jujutsu society and 2. Being born without a cursed technique. But either way I'm glad they gave us one hell of a fight

I've been caught up with the manga since around Summer 2022, and reading the chapters as they come out. Only just this week decided to go and watch season 2 to catch up to the anime. Choso is my favourite JJK character, and this fight scene between brothers got the absolute royal treatment. The animation and music was superb, one of the best fight scenes I've seen animated in a while.
While also reminding him of all the childhood memories they had together before he became a sorcerer and about those fights they sometimes had when they were children. :D
