The lack of things to spend money on in GTA IV makes sense story-wise and thematically for the game. Never used the adrenaline pill. Hell...didnt even know what it was foing really back then as a young teen. Rendered it useless. Just pass by it every time. Nowhere to be found when I needed it
As I much as I like GTA San Andreas fighting styles, I swear that those styles means nothing when: - Every single person you fought always carry a gun. - There are few mission where you are unarmed but since most of the time it always optional, of course we gonna use gun instead - you can't use those(especially cobra taekwondo and black belt muay thai) and while carrying a light firearms. Only pistol whip can be use near enemy

well the thing is Grand theft Auto as a franchise was still in its early face during the Grand theft Auto 3 era so the developer really were just experimenting on most of these things.

5:30 towing. I swear every time I watch a video involving San Andreas I'm like "that's a feature in the game?!". It had so many different features for it's time and I still don't know them all after so many years
Certain features are not just useless, but they turns out that they might are serious hindrance. And it angers me greatly when the game crashes, even if the PS2 disk is in mint condition. I wish to use the iron fist to harshly make the developers to quietely fix any technical problem, too many harmful mistakes and shameful gaps they made.
Yeah I was confused about that lol, for a game where you drive vehicles like 100 % of the time, I would think a garage to change vehicles look would be reasonable
The most pointless thing on Vice City for me it was the hidden bus driver activity. The one of steal the Coach bus and drive to the bus stop to pick up passengers, they give you 5$ and that's it. I mean the activity was a nice touch but still kind pointless, heck the other hidden activity of "Good Citizen bonus" was way better since you get 50$ for just punch a thief.
In GTA IV the ATMs did serve a purpose. They're part of the games robbery mechanics. If you attack a pedestrian who's just used one they'll drop more money. Since we don't need money, it is technically useless, but it does show there was some concept of a plan. I don't know the entire development history, so I can't say for sure what the intentions were. I'm putting this out for fellow GTA enthusiasts and scholars who may not realize. It's also a caution in real life when using an ATM at night or in high crime areas. Always be alert, and practice situational awareness. This is why banks started putting them behind lockable doors or in their lobby.
i gotta say GTAV "MG" was the most useless gun/feature in the game, and you might wondering why? it's because "MG" is available for purchase later in the game after the "Combat MG" (that are way more superior than the "MG"). for me, it doesn't make any sense that the worse gun from the Machine Gun category was available later in the game after the better ones was already unlocked early.
I really don’t like the author’s opinion in the part about GTA 4. Niko is saving this money to live on it for the rest of his life. But Niko cannot buy houses, cars, etc., because he is an illegal immigrant, Roman says this in the first mission. In addition, GTA 4 is a serious game that does not need tuning, hairdressers and tattoo parlors, for example, with the purchase of houses and cars. Niko already gets a bunch of cars and apartments in his possession. What kind of mania do people have to want to buy all the houses on the map?
Disagree here, the money earn&spend on hideouts/businesses where you actually start to work on your own $ flow was a nice cherry on top of the cake. In the IV you spend the money only exactly how it is described in the video.
Chinatown wars' subway is useless iirc, but it's been so long since I played it that I don't remember at all. Other than that, it didn't have many useless stuff. Maybe the land mines could be considered useless as you can go without them, but they make the game a bit easier.

I've actually use the subway in GTA online quite a bit, usually to cause trouble as anyone else would
I think the carwash in GTA IV is the most useless. You wash your car, but it will be dirty as hell again after 5 minutes...
I mean, it makes sense. Liberty City is frequently rainy which spreads dirt, mud and trash on the roadways.
What mods do you use to get that kind of GTA 3 look?
The adrenaline pill in gta3 was hilarious when you use physical attacks or just run at vehicles
Never used the adrenaline pill. Hell...didnt even know what it was foing really back then as a young teen. Rendered it useless. Just pass by it every time. Nowhere to be found when I needed it
It's entirely possible to pass that mission with the Cubans vs. Haitians fight without the adrenaline pill.
Could do a whole series on useless features in GTAIV
😂we dont want a simulation game, abit of red sauce wouldn't make the chicken bad.
I guess you haven't realized that you can use a knife in the ocean
Which gta it is? Sa ...4 or 5 or vcs
All the train enthusiasts including myself are probably not too happy with the pick for GTA 5
For pay and spray. its not quite useless. If your Favorite Car was damage. then pay and spray gotcha going
The police bike sirens in gtasa, vehicles don’t get out the way, also the silencer pistol is pointless
This is awesome. Please make more videos like this. This is gold.
I used the adrenaline pills for some hard rampages in GTA 3. And VC as well, but most rampages in VC weren't that hard.
As I much as I like GTA San Andreas fighting styles, I swear that those styles means nothing when:
- Every single person you fought always carry a gun.
- There are few mission where you are unarmed but since most of the time it always optional, of course we gonna use gun instead
- you can't use those(especially cobra taekwondo and black belt muay thai) and while carrying a light firearms. Only pistol whip can be use near enemy
One of my fav GTA yt channels ngl
It actually took me years to figure adrenaline pills were supposed to do that
When i picked up one for the first time i thought it bugged the game so i actually avoided them.
the armored vehicle is pretty understandable to balance out the currency
some of these things are here for immersion such as the subway travel
most useless thing on CW is the quicksave bec sometimes quicksaving crashes the game and corrupts the savefile on the memory stick. so u rather turn it off. second is the gas station, so that u could make molotovs. id rather sell crack and buy guns rather than refilling lol
Mandela Effect: I thought it was called "Paint n Spray" after all this years.
You’re just slow
The "Spray" part refers to the paint being applied. Pay and Spray(paint)
well the thing is Grand theft Auto as a franchise was still in its early face during the Grand theft Auto 3 era so the developer really were just experimenting on most of these things.
In vice city, the Pizza Boy mission has 10 levels only, not 12.
in the Van cracking.. i think $5k is the max amount of unmarked money the garage is able to precure .. everything else is traceable by cops
The only GTA where money actually matters is VCS, with the business empire building. It was a cool feature, and I had to be actually careful with my money. Even at midgame, I sometimes lacked funds to buy back weapons at hospital 😅
8:00 Gta sa has 3 different types of this job, one with mtb in ls, other with scooter and other with pcj i thnk.. they award asset.
The pay n spray is king the pay n spray is law the pay n spray is you're best friend
This narrator must have took his narration style from Perd Hapley
5:30 towing. I swear every time I watch a video involving San Andreas I'm like "that's a feature in the game?!". It had so many different features for it's time and I still don't know them all after so many years
And the missions in GTA V that involved Towing are generally pretty useless as well.
lottery cards is the most useless thing in Chinatown wars 💀...but we all know why we keep spending money on them
Certain features are not just useless, but they turns out that they might are serious hindrance.
And it angers me greatly when the game crashes, even if the PS2 disk is in mint condition.
I wish to use the iron fist to harshly make the developers to quietely fix any technical problem, too many harmful mistakes and shameful gaps they made.
Well i would add the infinite stamina from some games, you can bypass that mechanic by just tapping the button used to sprint
Subway in GTAV was useful. An easy place to hide from cops and lose your wanted level
Unrelated but, how did you fix the camera angle and mouse rotate camera on your vehicle in gta 3 and vc?
Gta 5 binoculars.. It costs you one dollar and there is nothing to see 😅
13:28 you really wanna open those can of worms? I wish they kept it in online
So what do you want instead of Pay N Spray to get rid of cops
Yeah I was confused about that lol, for a game where you drive vehicles like 100 % of the time, I would think a garage to change vehicles look would be reasonable
there is a difference between useless and things that don't make sense
What's the mod pack you're using for GTA Vice City?
I didn't even know about the cable car or trains in gta V 😳
The concept of riding the train was introduced as early as GTA3. Hell, you could even drive it in San Andreas.
Trains existed in the original gta alredy
CTW has to be noodle delivery, dumpster search, car search, or airport
The most pointless thing on Vice City for me it was the hidden bus driver activity.
The one of steal the Coach bus and drive to the bus stop to pick up passengers, they give you 5$ and that's it.
I mean the activity was a nice touch but still kind pointless, heck the other hidden activity of "Good Citizen bonus" was way better since you get 50$ for just punch a thief.
13:05 gta online's existence is the useless feature in question
The securicar garage was supposed to return in VC. And it was Cam Jones garage the place to loot them
Most useless thing about CW is not releasing it on non hanshelds
There's really no point- it was made for and fits best on the DS.
Funniest thing is GTA III, that U can make a lot of money and U can't spend i anything 😂
i gotta say GTAV "MG" was the most useless gun/feature in the game, and you might wondering why? it's because "MG" is available for purchase later in the game after the "Combat MG" (that are way more superior than the "MG"). for me, it doesn't make any sense that the worse gun from the Machine Gun category was available later in the game after the better ones was already unlocked early.
There you have it.
Chinatown wars' subway is useless iirc, but it's been so long since I played it that I don't remember at all. Other than that, it didn't have many useless stuff. Maybe the land mines could be considered useless as you can go without them, but they make the game a bit easier.
what mods do you have on san andreas??
GTA SA: Farm Trailer, Andromeda plane, FBI truck, Emmet's, unused SF DP interior, currier missions and many other things
This missions are reason why gta series is funny and enjoyble.
