I had to stop and write this down in my daily devotional: "If you don't have standards, you will be treated like you don't have feelings. If you dont have standards, eventually you will stop feeling" .....this hit me like a ton of bricks! Thank you for all that you do Tony.

Thank you so much- I needed this! Domestic Violence of 17 years and I made it out! I thought I could date after 3 years and I notice he’s emotionally abusive. I’m 55 and he’s 74..he keeps asking for money--you got to be joking and when he don’t get money..he goes ghost and send me nice pictures of him eating lobster tails. This is a veteran and has ptsd with ocd and trying to pimp!

Sometimes these videos are so real that i have to stop them, take a break, get my head together again and then come back and finish listening (& this is my 3rd time around on this vid). The intensity of my emotions in the revelations that Tony puts forth can just bring me to my knees. I want to fully understand what is going on in my life/relationships and know how to best respond. I know that I need to have Christ in my life to keep my balance.
For those of us who left this type of situation, do the work to get healed. Don't ignore the signs or the red flags! It could cost you your LIFE! Been there and almost lost my nose, an eye and my LIFE! Be blessed I made it!

I agree with you, Danielle, they are not mature, they do not care to be mature or to grow up. It is our pain and something we need to deal with coz they just seem to keep on going, without even realizing that it is not normal what they are doing and the way they are thinking! I am from NE Europe, so I'm not black, let me tell you from ''over the pond''- it is not the skin color and race, is smthg else, I would say - spiritual, that just takes these men over an d ruin them!! Because European men are also this way, I have never dated outside my race, so I cannot speak with total grasp, but just my insights and experience- there are horrible men, and there are decent men but super naive and hurt in the past and now they buying into the whole red pill crap and it is not gonna end good... we got divorces at all time high, men treating women with disrespect..this is a true global pandemic, if you ask me...and it is gonna end with depopulation, which is the global meanies wet dream anyway, if like look at figures like mr Hell Gates and Swab, and social engineers behind the scenes - we are being payed...gender wars.. race wars, etc etc...we are figures on their chess board and it is not getting better.. yes, perhaps in US is worse than over here, but it is catching up coz young and naive men, who are not being raised properly by healthy and loving men, are only adopting the venomous way of thinking!!!! It all starts from crippled way of thinking which affect emotions then..cascade effect..

Man oh man, this video was so real. My ex was a huge teddy bear. I had asked Tony during a live session why a man would treat a woman like an emotional clutch, and now I see it's really the Teddy Bear Syndrome! So glad I dodged that relationship fast before things got too bad! Thanks, Tony!

I really had to learn to set solid boundaries. I don’t compromise on them at all. I used to waiver and make excuses for men but men don’t need me to coddle them. I’ve shut so many things down from different men I’ve dated and the worst ones will throw the craziest temper tantrum you’ve ever seen. I’m always thinking dang I dodged a bullet lol. It’s all about introspection and growth. What I love about dating now is I’m attracting people who are also not afraid to set boundaries. Everything is much more mature. I even feel satisfied with just getting to know the men I’ve talked to even if it didn’t work out. It’s more about compatibility now than trying to convince someone I’m worthy of them 😎. Thanks Tony!

Gem gem. If you're leaving an abuser; don't never tell them you're leaving. Do it safely with a plan, and when they're not around. If you live together wait until you know they won't be coming back home for awhile, and long enough for you to get away safely. If they been abusive already definitely don't tell them, or anyone else where you're going. Even if they haven't been abusive; still don't tell them anything about where you're going. Be safe. Unfortunately my brother is dealing with this, he takes all his hurt out on me as his sister (calling me out my name) & disrespects our family. He’s 38 still living at home, not in a place where he wants to be in life with his goals. He has a gf, he goes to her to cry on her shoulder. He bottles up his feelings for months at a time, then snap again when he feels like no one else wants to help him financially. He thinks if no one helps him financially we don’t love him.. but he’s a grown man! We love him but he puts a barrier up , my family can just pray for him at this point. We’ve tried to get him to move out but he always coming back around.
The next time he calls, ignore. I dont care what he going through, its unacceptable!
I can’t wait to listen to this on the ride home.

wow! Currently in this situation. A little while ago I received the scripture Jer 33:3 (call on me and I will answer you & show you great & mighty things you do not know). I have been listening for about 2 months now & I'm starting to understand what's happening. I'm currently married to this type of person. Also, I'm preparing for a divorce and this information confirms that I'm going in the correct direction.

I made it. Tony you literally described my situation ship of10 years I am really frightened but I am making plans with an exit strategy to get out of it. He became physical a couple weeks ago with a slap but the pushing the shaking and all of that had already been there and I’ve had enough I’m going to get out. Smh It is what I seen all my lifeI never believe this would ever happen in this Situationship but here I am. I planned my exit strategy with the help of a girlfriend who helped me move my stuff to a storage facility. I had to move fast that day i knew he would be away for several hours. Dont believe him later when he says "its ok if you want to come home" ! IT ISNT! Him changing the locks , cancelling our creditcards was at warp speed, so i know his words meant NOTHING!
Please be safe! If you need to you can always call the Domestic Violence Helpline, they are there to help you.
If you leave please get a restraining order put in place.

I made it... be blessed; I recognized this near the end of my situationship.. he was lost, broken and insecure.. I became the teddy bear.. but decided to walk away from this role bc I need and deserve a whole man
7:43 wow, i think of more men who seem okay with so little: 1) *move back with mama* , 2) *"gaslighting"* in communications, 3) *expecting 50/50* from wives on household *PLUS his business expense* (under guise of joint checking), 4) and for single men - *"dating lazy"* (not pursuing, consistent, nor attentive but still thirsty ).

I was a human teddy bear and the pain is/was unbearable and didn’t know who I was at the end.
By the grace of god I’m on the road to recovery, lesson learned and will never ignore the red flags. No more grown boys 1st and last. Thank you Tony I’m so glad I stumbled over your podcast. I will continue to listen and eventually get some coaching. Thank you again!
OMG I just found this. It described so well what I went through. I was with a man for six months. The first three to four months were love bombing. I was the teddy bear. I didn't realize what was going on, but I had this gut feeling- this man isn't really that into me. Within a month, we were fighting, he had mood swings, he'd love me one day, but the next, called my clingy. When I tried to show extra affection through kisses, he went off on me that I was like a twelve year old. Later, he said he needed space, so we reduced how often we saw each other, then he dumped me. We tried to continue seeing each other but then I found him on a dating app. That was it for me. I was done. He used me for what he needed at that time, and when he got bored, he started looking for a replacement. I am moving on with my life.
Wow! This was an awesome lesson. I was married for 24 years and I definitely went through this. It will be a year in June that I've been single. I still don't remember how or when I started watching these videos, but I have really been blessed by them. Bless you and your family, I made it to the end. ❤

I was co confused with my ex. He would never show that he loves me (no effort, i had to spend money, he wouldn't care at all) but when i say why don't you just break up he would be like I love you and try to be affectionate for that day and go back to the same way.
Sounds like he may be bipolar or have a mood disorder. I would be so annoyed dating a man who does not show me attention or affection.
To me this sounds like he Jus trying to keep you hooked with zero effort... Tell him if he wants you to stay he has to prove it... U can do the 90 day thing to see if he has changed

I did have to call the boys in blue on him first time years ago and stayed with him with no other issues tried to hold my ground & last year he tried me again with all the things u mentioned plus pushing me and now I’ve been gone 4 months. Be Blessed. I made it. I come from a family where the women let their boyfriends and husbands beat them and they continue to stay in the relationship. I vowed to myself at a very young age that I will never let a man disrespect or lay hands on me.
Then that day came when my ex grabbed me by my arm trying to force me ride to a darn motorcycle place to get him a new bike. I told him no and asked for him to let me go but he refused. I managed to get away from him by running upstairs to my room and knowing that he was going to chase me.
In my Liam Nesson voice, I told him if he made another move towards me that I would blow his "MF" head off. He saw that I was for real and he apologized but that wasn't good enough for me because of what I seen my mom and sisters go through as a child.
We parted ways and he tried to get back in my good graces many times thereafter but my door was closed. You're so right, men will test you. Thank you for keeping it 1000% with us.

I can definitely relate to this! I just beat him up after he tried me & than sent him to jail!! He would never fight a man though! I’ve been out of this toxic situationship since Jan 6,2020 best decision I’ve made for my life. Now he’s with another woman using her for everything he needs & she’s his human teddy bear, but I tried to warn her! Thank God I’m out of this dysfunctional relationship & I’m in a Self Love Space With My Standards Again! Peace Is Everything & God has built me back up to know what my worth! Most of the videos you make I listen to in the car or listen to with ear buds in while I run errands and such. This one I swear was like you were looking right at me talking to me! I'm not worthless, I'm not less than and nothing is wrong with me! The problem is I haven't had any standards. Because I want to be loved so badly I've put up with ANY and EVERYTHING! Single and looking at it as a blessing to learn to love myself and heal. Thank you for breaking it down, and really teaching the signs; but most importantly the steps to self love and STANDARDS! You are truly a God send. I just left #1. I totally ignored the smaller signs leading up to the bigger and more disrespectful passive aggressive actions from him. Your videos are sooooooo powerful. Thanks for your long videos. I'm the type of person that needs the FULL break. I don't quite interpret highlights of the point, give me the long winded explanation. Point it out, tell me how to correct it and give me examples. This is why I've gravitated quickly to your channel and became part of the Blessed Trip. I appreciate how you explain and give examples on how to speak up and address the man in person. This too is so helpful. Sometimes I find trouble with how to express what is bothering me and how to bring it up. Thanks for allllllllll of the examples, the details, the rules and everything in between that you feel is helpful.

Tony....THANK YOU! I have been a loyal follower for many, many years. I took the Real Love University, I have read most of your books and I remember the video where you spoke on how & why men test. This video though is the first time (that I can recall) that you have completely broken down these three aspects of this particular type of flawed character. The second one (the cheater) is what I dealt with. Thank you for helping me to FINALLY fully comprehend the psychology behind it and place all the pieces together completely. I just cannot thank you enough! I am so glad to be free from that mental bondage! This and the "Ego v.s. Heart" video are my absolute favorites! You have taught me so much that my father never did.
