Imagine if he just held ledge for a moment longer... I guess "reclaiming center" is just so hard wired in a pros mind that it's hard to break that mentality even when going center is the worst call in said situation. That said, when looking at the percentage difference after Sonix landed that up smash, had Kameme had died via star ko or splat ko off the top, then Kameme would have won due to how little time was left funnily enough. So not only did Kameme make the worst call, also had the worst luck. Hopefully he does better next time as i want more Sora players like him to make it higher.

Bruh Japanese Smash Players are completely opposite from Japanese FGC players in that JSmashers are so non-optimal... [ especially in their punishes and ledge trapping its weird] BRUH! Half through writing this comment, the match ended and HOLY SHIT that was one of the best endings to a match ive ever seen! Ya see, ADHD Smashers lose out on these tense end of game interactions because they hate matches going to be time for whatever reason. Working the clock has been an integral part of the FGC forever and people rarely complain its just part of the game. And oftentimes ya get amazing moments like THIS

SonicX legitimately put me to sleep with his lame gameplay.
Yet both were camping because either Sonic gets the lead and uses his movement to weave around Sora’s attacks and spells, or Sora gets the lead and walls out Sonic with his disjoints via his sword or with his spells. They’re playing to win here and Sonix has proven in previous sets (even in this one in some instances) that he can easily go rushdown aggressive and still do very well if the matchup allows it. So grow up honestly lol. Sonic slowed the game down this set and so did Sora, who was literally camping offstage and underneath the stage so Sonic couldn’t edgeguard him. He literally would’ve won via timeout Game 5 if he did that instead of neutral getup into the Nair and American Airdodging into the Up Smash. But the slow play never felt boring because they were pretty much just playing tense neutral, waiting for the other to commit and possibly leading to an explosive combo or kill. It was a tense and close set. And both players played their asses off through their patience, discipline and strong punishes whenever they were able to get a big opening. Props to both of them, and good luck to Sonix & Kameme in Winners & Losers respectively.

Kameme literally tries to approach multiple times and each time he gets close SonicX immediately starts to range him out, he deliberately didn't want to approach him because not only would his Sora have slaughtered him in neutral, he would have found himself in disadvantage very easily. Kameme wanted to fight him but SonicX refused and so we got a set that dragged on which led to him cheaping out a victory due to the time running out. and that's how most of the game went. and it's not just SonicX that does this, most Sonic mains play exactly like this especially online. I give all the props in world to Kameme for wanting to have an actual back and forth competitive match, he could have easily timed SonicX out at the end, but he instead got back on stage and tried to earn his win. SonicX joins MinMain in the _"get this guy off my screen"_ trash heap.

For one, its physical location and internet access mean that for the most part Dominican players are stuck with only other Dominicans to play. The process of improvement is slower because of that. Also culturally Dominicans haven't really socially accepted gaming. Hardware is harder to get than in a lot of other countries. There's many more reasons but I don't wanna keep typing.
