- Missing the sun by that much, this presentation focuses literally on train 2343. With start with a smaller combination of CLP9 4904 4917 C507 4908 and BRM001at Goulburn yard. Supplemented by the addition of CLP2 on front, the train leaves Goulburn with seven locomotives.
By Jerrawa the light had well and truly gone but the sight and sound nonetheless was worth persisting with.
Thanks to those who keep me in touch with this movement. It has ben a while since I visited the Cullerin range, and I glad I did.
Please enjoy watching this, thank you.
I saw this exact train at Yass later on that day but by the time it got there it was dark so I got bad footage, happy I found this video!
Thats an amazing catch! Great video
Was thinking whilst watching, wish you would wait until train fully past to see how many wagons, and then you came through at end, great video
Thanks Dave, appreciate that.
Interesting to see CLP9 wearing an advertising livery, probably the first I have seen on a locomotive.
Hi from NZ,
Anthony
Hi Anthony, if you search the net you'll come across B65 which was painted in an Auscision Models livery. It has not run for a while but searching for it will be a treat too.
Nice chase! Was it tricky to keep leap-frogging it to be awaiting the shot? Had you already planned and reconn'd the filming locations? I feel the logistics and timing on this one would have needed careful planning? Congrats!
Thanks, you plan and adjust according to train speed, traffic and weather. It is all fun these factors conspire to cause problems.
I saw this exact same train at Yass later in the day but it was dark so I didn’t get a good video.
Serious lashups here
Hate to foot the fuel bill for seven loco's at over $2-00 a litre...What's the annoying clicking noise at the start of each video? Lovely variety of liveries and all EMD lash up. The 49 class didn't appear to be running, either shut down or in idle. Lovely home at 4.32, great to sit and watch trains, must be hot in summer though with no trees around it. Good compilation, well done.
Hi Dave, thanks. The clicking is often photographs being taken at the same location. Sometime it is unavoidable.
@@48classgoodwinalco76 Commonly referred to as "shutter splutter", I walk away from the video camera to avoid this, good video though.
would be nice to see the hold vtrain then bit of it at the end
Good 👍 to see that old clp9 going after years in the shed the orange clp I thought was written off in the ssr derailment?
There were two operational orange (bumblebee) livered CLPs and one is being assessed after that derailment. The orange locomotive is the other one, still running.
obviously some of these operators are model railroaders…just lashing up whatever locos they have to run a train $$$$$$, couldn’t run a real business like this
Ssr equals one of every loco model
Great video thanks sharing
Really cool!👍
Superb
CLP9 looked awesome . . . Thought it was more efficient to run loco's at the rear as well, as they do prominently in the US (unless the haul was an empty) . . .
It’s really very rare to do it in Australia. Even the autonomous iron ore trains of West Australia which are often many kilometres long have all three up front. Must have much faith in there coupling’s integrity🇦🇺
@@raymondwelsh6028 Many of the Pacific National Trains in the Hunter do it on the rear and front.
Thanks, in this case running on the down the train is empty heading back into the grain belt for reloading.
Magic video
Hint. If you or someone else is going to take photos from a camera. Please move them well enough away so the sound of the camera taking it's photo doesn't go on the video.
Thanks, often a compromise between getting safe, reliable access to track and sharing that space with like minded souls.
