The Bond film used 3 cars & 2 fibreglass replicas. 1. Victor Gauntlet's Vantage Volante built to Prince of Wales spec. 2 1978 V8 Saloon automatic externally updated to 1985 external spec outfitted with gadgetry. 3. 1979 V8 Saloon with manual transmission updated to 1985 external spec for close up shots. 4. fibreglass replica used for the jump scene & 5. fibreglass replica used for self destruct scene.
my boss got one!! he said theres only 50 of them in the world because its manual, it a good pleasure to meet those ultimate rare limited edition car in my workplace.
The essential Mustang shape came before the Aston V8, but a close up in the flesh reveals that this is a very refined evolution very much unlike a Pony Car, with inboard disc brakes on a independent rear suspension (de Dion) and an absolutely fabulous aluminum V8 with quad cams and Weber carbs. By the time Aston built the later series in the 70's (and on), the Mustang lost a lot of its appeal. Today's Mustang is a very different animal.
+Rome Salas I regret I can't advise you there, as I do not live in the US and have no knowledge of that country's import regulations. I hope someone is able to assist you and that you can take delivery of one of these beauties.

+Rudolf Menon I agree, Pure Mustang II styling, which was very cool in Charlie's Angels. I quite like this style. There was even a Corolla coupe with front treatment like that.
+cquilty1 Only a complete fool will deny that this Aston bears a striking resemblance to the Mustang. Say what you will about the humble little Mustang, but its aesthetic appeal to millions is undeniable.
Rudolf Menon, I don't think so, they're completely different in design style no Mustang have grille like Aston Martin or vise versa. or the body style.
Aside from its superficial aspects that were/are shared by several sports car manufacturers (based on aerodynamics) that difference is ameliorated by the Aston Martin handling well, cornering well and being comfortable - something that American cars tend to lack. Also, American cars are inclined to make their products more 'de luxe' by adding plastic. You did not mention that the Cobra, Ferraris and TransAm also looked similar to the Mustang.
One of my favorite cars as a kid in the 70's..
it looks like an old mustang which is what i like about this car
Bollocks does it its beautiful
You can't be comparing this to a mustang at all this is leagues better than a mustang

Can someone help here isn't the V8 Vantage featured in 87 Bond movie The Living Daylights which debut Timothy Dalton as new 007?
***** yes although I don't know the year of the Bond car, as the 1977 version looks almost the same. I'm guessing it's the 1985 version.
It’s got a mustang I look with that Aston Martin feel
I can afford a Mustang, wouldn't get near the price for that.. Fine English Quality.
Is a car from the UK legal in the US, and what does it take to get it legal? I love to have one
it have to be at least 25 years old to import one
Yes they're usually legal. are you a millionaire though? These bad boys aint cheap.
they sell for 1/4 mill for a cheep one, so yeah . Sotheby"s got one on their sight right now estimating 250,000 pounds (UK$).
They are more expensive than Mustang's.
She sure is pretty 😍
Bello.👏🇦🇷🌹
did they really make the aston martin like a mustang shape?
No, the Vantage was what the Mustang wanted to be.
