They especially wanted the Qunari have horns which is still seen with Ogres, but the trade off had been Sten couldn't have worn helmets.

If anything, one could say that Iron Bull enriched the purpose of the word by incorporating his true feelings into the matter. Also, kadan actually means "where the heart lies" so both romance and/or friendship can play a role. Sten may not have been specific in his expressions to the Warden (unlike Iron Bull to the Inquisitor, which was thankfully more direct and easier to understand) but he still held the party leader in a level of high importance in his life. TLDR: Kadan can be used to describe someone who is espcially close to your heart, regardless of what role they play in your life.

I've dried it with console commands, but if they aren't my listed companions everything buggs out and they act like summoned creatures. Really wanna know. I've always found it stupid how I couldn't take my whole party with me.
