      No, it’s not too many passes. The instructions for a Brazilian blowout require a minimum of 7 passes on each section. Research it on Google. If you are going to a stylist that isn’t doing this then they are harming your hair in the long term. The idea is that you use a lot of heat in the treatment so that the client doesn’t have to use much heat during their daily styling.

      Sodium hydroxide relaxers are not compatible with other chemical straightening treatments (Brazilian blowouts). Find out the type of chemical relaxer that you use and go from there.

    • @serenity5289
      @serenity5289  2 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      @@trinakay9072 I think you are referring to the keratin straightening system.
      The Brazilian Blowout is a smoothing system and does not break the bonds of your hair (like a relaxer). It will gently loosen tighter curls but your curl/wave pattern will not go away. It mainly reduces frizz. It's a coating over the hair not a straightening chemical. Sodium or lye relaxers would react badly to bleaching/highlighting the hair. The Brazilian blowout acts as a coat or protective layer to the hair.

      A relaxer permanently straightens the hair and is a chemical while the Brazilian blowout is a smoothing system that reduces frizz, loosens your curl, makes your hair more manageable as well as cuts your dry time down in half. It coats the hair rather then permanently changing it.

      A Brazilian blowout can be harmful to your health and hair. One of its main ingredients is a known cancer-causing chemical, formaldehyde. Brazilian blowouts and other smoothing treatments also contain other chemicals that can cause side effects and allergic reactions. @BarbiieDoll365 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jasminenicoleellis I’m not a stylist but have had both done by a professional and consulted them about this. The Brazilian Blowout is not as harsh as a relaxer on your hair since it is adding a protective keratin layer on your hair strands. I was told to think of it as concrete filling in holes. The biggest concern with a BB is the harsh chemicals that can cause respiratory issues and harm your health when inhaled. That’s why it’s important to have it done in a well ventilated area. I’d recommend taking extra precautions such as wearing a mask and shades/glasses to protect your eyes from irritation.

    Looks a dry stringy mess. I’ve seen better on just a regular blowout!

      Her hair density is low/ fine and I would know bc this is how my regular silk press comes out so for you to say "stringy mess" it's an insult to the client who can't help the density she was born with not THE STYLIST

      Her hair is very fine with low density. I promise it's not dry. Different hair types have different outcomes, and they are all cool af. I posted this so someone with the same hair type can see the results.
