See and another thing is some people don’t know what 4 inches of hair look like either sometimes even an inch so we have to explain that to people as well
Because like Shell said, some folks have PTSD from stylists that took 4+ inches when only 1-2 inches were to be trimmed. I've seen a lady silently crying after this happened. Her sister came to pick her up, saw her sister's tears & long hair gone & set it off in that salon after the stylist tried to convince them that she did the client a favor. It was a fly cut, but not what the client wanted.
@lionsdencoaching6457 out of jealousy?? Damn never heard or thought of that I hope not smh just thought the majority of stylists get scissor happy or even go further than they intended
@Ashley-og9ti That's what I always thought, too. And, I also think sometimes they may see that more needs to be cut; but they should just do what the client asks for and they'll see for themselves if more is needed.
You can also pull the hair straight out like you're cutting layers to get hairs that don't come all the way down. This way you can still get all of the split ends without unnecessarily cutting healthy hair.

A good stylist/hair dresser will tell you. People also just have a problem letting go of dead ends and prioritize length over health and need more. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience but not everyone is like that
@rsmobyrd so true. My sister did hair for 25 years. She'd tell them what they need, they don't listen. They want those scraggly, dead, see thru ends. But then they always came running back to her to cut those dead ends off later. SMH.
Synthetic hair rubbing against natural hair does not cause split ends. Split ends come from not taking care of your hair properly. 9 times out of 10 the hair was not moisturized enough before the synthetic was added, so the dryness caused the hair to split.
Yes it does lol synthetic hair is made with chemicals. It’s a lot of factors that play into it but the friction from the hair is the biggest cause of split ends.

You came to the comments with exactly the words and energy she said you would 😂 🫠😬
A good stylist/hair dresser will tell you. People also just have a problem letting go of dead ends and prioritize length over health and need more. I'm sorry you've had a bad experience but not everyone is like that
If it’s dead… let it go 🤷🏾♀️

@rsmobyrd so true. My sister did hair for 25 years. She'd tell them what they need, they don't listen. They want those scraggly, dead, see thru ends. But then they always came running back to her to cut those dead ends off later. SMH.
So she was comfortable with the cut 😅 which is fine. As long as you don't call it a trim 😂Love the result.
Those breathable nets with the holes in it create splits ends
I love the cut but to me the style was really amatuer
I love your video! So helpful
Beautifully done. A lot of people need help with coarse hair. Very inspiring. How much does that cost?
Synthetic hair rubbing against natural hair does not cause split ends. Split ends come from not taking care of your hair properly. 9 times out of 10 the hair was not moisturized enough before the synthetic was added, so the dryness caused the hair to split.
Yes it does lol synthetic hair is made with chemicals. It’s a lot of factors that play into it but the friction from the hair is the biggest cause of split ends.
@@shelltalkshair agree to disagree sis! While it may be the issue for some people, that’s not the issue for all. I’m a braider so I see different result but I do agree that braids are not good for everybody’s hair! Especially those who have thin or thinning hair.
Don't forget to drink plenty of water...that helps too..✌🏾
Why nobody ever says how many degrees they put the flat iron at
What is the difference between a silk press and a normal blowout
Silk press last longer and us also way more straight than a blowout where that if mor fluffly
Beautiful curls. I'm jealous.
i did my nieces hair tonight n feel i oiled/greased her up too much because of how fast it started to revert 😬 it was shiney n smooth of half an hour lol n it crossed my mind for a sec that her ends may not have helped the situation, i just didn't understand how
I think the terminology plays a lot into the fear we have from getting our hair cut. Some stylist will say you need a trim, then take off 3-4 inches.
I love, love, the trim/cut!!! You know what is best. Only if I could get to you. Thanks!
