This week’s #ASK2DK video explores what Technical Due Diligence is, and when is it applied to solar assets.
Technical due diligence is a risk reduction service typically commissioned by the lenders or investors of asset owning funds.
The process consists of a Technical Advisor (or TA) requesting and carrying out a thorough review on a large suite of technical, design, planning and grid connection documents, studies and plans, and providing technical sign off that the EPC or O&M is up for the task of building and/or operating and maintaining the solar asset.
These sort of services are an essential part of any new build or operational asset commercial structure, and essentially lower risk of lending to fund such projects.
Although not a pure-play TA, 2DegreesKelvin have technical advisory capabilities and add a touch more practical experience into the mix when delivering such engineering consultancy services. Let us know if you want to talk to us about a project.
