I have never seen Pharaoh Sanders. 😃 Wow! I have that Freddie Hubbard two-fer. You will love that one. I can't believe you got those records for that price. Alice Coltrane for 99¢? That's unbelievable. 😯😯😯 I found a couple of two-fers yesterday and a Charles Mingus original for only $2.50 each. I immediately thought of you and all of your cool finds. Thank you and have a great weekend.
@@BreakfastKingOfLoyola chick corea’s return to forever two first albums: self titled and light as a feather feature Flora and Airto who were married. Fantastic albums.
Quad records made with the SQ, QS, or RM system sound ok on regular stereo systems. If you get one made with the CD-4 system, they will have lower levels and the top end only goes up to 15kHz because a subcarrier had to be cut into the groove as well as the signal. CD-4 records had to be cut at half speed to accomplish this, and when the quad fad died, someone came up with the idea to half-speed cut a record for enhanced fidelity. I think you know the rest of that history lesson. Awesome finds, Rob!
Great haul, Rob! I have that Pharaoh Sanders greatest hits album - pretty good comp and goes for a decent price on Discogs. Also I found that OG Alice Coltrane in the wild for 10 bucks (incredible) and got it home to find it was another OG Alive Coltrane album, “World Galaxy” - disappointed, but that’s also a good Alice Coltrane album so can’t complain. The Sachidinanda jacket is in very good condition, no ring wear and the spine is clean if I remember right - let me know if you’d like it to upgrade yours as VCLT and I’ll send it your way.
chet baker!...ornette coleman!...gil scott heron!...alice coltrane!...hey judge...throw some of your mojo my way...i'm tired of only finding bobby vinton and ray conniff....great finds my friend...peace and good will hunting always...rocky
I have a minty QUAD Allman Bros at the Filmore East and a QUAD Santana III played on 2 channel stereo they sound well, strange, not bad but strange and 1 play was enough for me
The Pharaoh Sanders finds are incredible. You hit the jackpot!! The Alice Coltrane title is brilliant. I love her music. That's a very expensive album!! Cheers.
This is great stuff! Man, the Pharoah Sanders‘ records alone, but Alice Coltrane as well? And I agree about the quality of the Blue Note Re-issue series, I have Horace Silver‘s The Trio Sides which sounds really good. Congrats.
Those BN LT series have horrible covers but amazing music. Great find. Ike Quebec is in my opinion one of the greatest, you should check all his work. I have some Impulse with the green label, and although can be a hit or miss, most are good sounding, especially some Coltrane, the Freddie Hubbards, Johnny Hartman, etc. And twofers are really a steal, we have a video showing some twofer recommendations, worth checking. Cheers!
Nice haul Funny I just picked up a CD copy of the Let's Get Lost soundtrack at my local thrift store. Really enjoyed it. BTW what was the name of the streaming service that you mentioned?
Nothing greater than bargain buys away from home, finding the places can be a challenge enough. So I wasn't sure was the Amish jazz a joke or not, surely need wind up phonographs before 1910 only.
First / first pressing are not the best ,Second or third pressing are the best sounding records / Us that worked in pressing records know this, I have no idea where this first pressing are best started from but they are WRONG / Allways look for a second or third pressing for Sound Quality.
Hi Rob. Those are all wonderful albums. Congratulations on a killer stack of vinyl. 🙂
Wow wow wow. What an amazing haul!

Unbelievable finds! My jaw is on the floor after seeing Journey In Satchidananda with a 99¢ sticker on it. Been wishing for that one for YEARS...
Awesome haul bro
I’m impressed.

Great finds. Those 99 cent find are primo. It’s all about timing and location. I will wait on the follow up video.

$0.99 for a VG+ Journey in Satchinanda is very impressive, despite the ringworn sleeve. Craazy.
I have a Record Store? Dreams do come true
I’m really happy for you. I mean that.
Yeah, pull this other one and plays jingle bells.

Great finds, Waxed! Hope those .99 stickers come off easily.
Lighter fluid does the trick.
I wish I knew you would be in PA. We could have met.

Crazy!! I hope with all these record stores and thrifts you are taking your back pain meds and your velcro shoes are tight.

I appreciate your comment. However, this video was not about pressings. And your us of / seems excessive.
