Seems I may have misspoke in this video. To clarify I clean my air filter everyday and in this video I had been using the 592 for about a month. The air filters are in need of improvement and I’m thinking of adding a sleeve? like the Stihls have. Or maybe I’ll add some of that green foam inside the filter?
Yeah the foam sock will help west coast saws have kits drop Gordy a email or get a hold of Walker's they probably got a air sock kit anything better then the stock filter don't want that dust getting into carburetor then into cylinder scratching up the piston
The 500i has been having this issue as well.. really the only thing to do is try and see what works for you..Nothing to do but to do it by golly..sure be nice if time stood still in the chainsaw world 046 066 adjustable carbs and all that good stuff..Subscriber for life Bjarne 🙃💯👊👀👷♂️🌲🍂🍻🏕🪵⛰🏔🪨🛻🚁🌡🦺🥾🎬📹📸🪓⛓🪝🧻🧻🇨🇦🇺🇸🇺🇲
That much dust getting through and you clean it daily is problematic to say the least. With that screw torqued down, you should have an air tight seal between the mating surfaces of your filter and the air plenum. So my theory is that surface mating isn't correct, or there is a small hole in your filter. Wipe both mating surfaces clean prior to the re-install. If dust is still getting through, try a new filter. If it's still getting through after that ... I dunno. Maybe the port job was too good and its sucking more air than the filter can supply?
If the fines are getting in its the seal from filter to the base. A little red Grease along the flat surface where the filter mates to the air horn works good.
Your videos are not boring. I am positive that others would agree or they wouldn't watch. I look forward to each one. Wish I was there. Thank you for letting me enjoy the scenery and your job. Close as I am likely to ever get.

Most comprehensive tree felling video I've watched. It's a different experience to watch absolute professionals at work. Thanks for the upload. Thoroughly enjoyable viewing.
It is fascinating to watch you fall huge trees with none of the song and dance that some flat land fallers seem to find necessary. No triple hinges no complicated multi faceted carry on, no change of chains or constant retuning just a mouth a back cut an axe and wedges. Your board feet must be up there with the most prolific fallers in the N American continent. Thanks for keeping it real and not adding fake TH-cam drama. Regards from Scotland.
Learning to clean my own saw was a Learning experience. I even learned to clean my carburetor. Small particles of sawdust would find it's way to the diaphragms, which would stall out my husky. But my adjustment of the jets also helps.
When I bought my 390XP a few years ago, I had maybe only 2 tanks through it and pulled the top cover to check everything out and glad I did. There were small particulate getting between the filter base and intake mainfold. I cleaned it up and started putting a light layer of grease on the intake flange and on the plastic base on the filter and it has solved the issue. Plastic on plastic left small gaps, I love Husqvarna but they should have known this would be an issue. Anyway I keep it greased and no more problems with fine particulate getting through.
If Husqvarna had maxflow air filters like Stihl they’d have something. And I know you can put the green weenie’s on them but they’re more of a pain than anything. He reconed the saw ran great. This was in the hardwood (eauculiptus) forest of southern Tasmana, island state of Australia. He ran about 7 saws from memory, with a crew of about 6 to 8 men. Ran a cat D4 and a D6. Cutting for an experimental pulp plant. At least you aren't up to your but in mud! Great videos!
Love your videos, not boring at all! Do you guys replant to control spacing or species? I'm just a ways to the north of you in southeast alaska. They just let it grow back after a cut and then thin about 20yrs after for spacing etc. All spruce, hemlock and cedar (mostly red bit some good yellow). I was so happy to finally figure out how to use wedges. My wife got the video yesterday of a 29 inch red oak that I cut down yesterday. And I did it faster then I ever did. Thanks for all the good tips and videos. It helps out a lot.
Bjarne, are you able to indicate the location that you are working in. I Google maps to check out the terrain.
Sorry no. I think they’re still hauling wood outta there
It’s funny how we say PINE cones when it’s hemlock or fir😂
I wanna play!
Awesome video as usual , curious what oil you run with your petrol as the price of Aspen fuel is getting too expensive at £5 litre over here in Wales, UK
We generally use Stihl or Husqvarna oil. It’s just convenient to pick up with the bar oil at the local sawshop.
It could be a dangerous task but I would like to see a backcut on a lining tree 🤗 good job I love your video, unfortunately you make it look too easy 😉
Don’t know what you mean by lining tree. Leaning tree?
Oops... right right,
Amazing placement Real Pro
👍👍 Bjarne , I got a question did you ever in your tree falling career ever have to
climb tree's with spike's and rope's ?? PS slo moe looked good
Nope. I’ve never climbed a tree before
@@BjarneButler thanks 😉
5:01 really threw me off...
Hey Bjarne
You ever try carbide chain.
Nope
What log lengths are you getting out of these trees?
Common lengths in meters are: 6.3, 8.3, 10.3, 11.3, 12.6, 16.6
how long do you make the sections you are buckin'
Common lengths are 6.3, 8.3, 11.3, 12.5 meters
bro, what's the temperature like and you're wearing short sleeves?
I’m about a month behind from filming to YT
@@BjarneButler ok ty bro
Bjarne idk if I'm right saying this but you might want to talk to the dealer about the saw and see if they have a small foam that surrounds the main filter on it basically like extra protection for the filter and by the looks of it yours didn't come with it too that's alot of the problem that the carburetor wasn't to clean either okay awesome day on the job now too
hi, what's the name of the forest you work in, is there anything being built there or do you just remove dangerous trees
Forest doesn’t have a name. This is a logging operation, all cut blocks are replanted 👋
👌👏
looked like your saw was leaking gas on that first tree? loose cap?
No probably just tree water
Hey bud…there any game trails you can use in those woods?
Yup we come across game trail a lot
Wouldn't think that the latest generation Husky's would have that problem with the air filter, my 2095 Jonsered stays cleaner longer, but it's heavy and a gas pig...
👍👍👍
🤙🤙🤙
I am a new subscriber, can't get enough of your videos, excellent footage, I was wondering if you guys are required to carry a kestrel in your pack & if you guys are required to stop working once you get to cross over??
And if you have ever ran into a legacy tree in your neck of the woods & have to establish a new boundary line??
Keep them coming & saw safely men! 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🪓💪💪💪💪🧡🧡
Thanks for subscribing. The supervisor checks the weather. We’ll do early shift for about a week after crossover with fire watch, then shut down. Legacy tree are found by the forest engineers before we get there.
@@BjarneButler very nice, your videos are amazing keep up with the great work and saw safe buddy.
It's fun to watch it done correctly!

What would I have to do in order to work in this profession. Is there a school? I’m 23 and have some experience but I’m not a professional
School for sure. Don’t know where you live though
Washington. I’ve tried looking here but so far it just seems like chances for opportunities are really scarce.
👍 brother..
Squirrel nest, full of squirrel eggs? Lol.
You have way too many commercials!
So, how did you
Get into this line of work?
That air filter seal is terrible ! I’m really surprised you don’t blow that out daily when you get back to camp. You don’t take the bar off and clean everything out and file up each evening? Cheers mate love the vids 👍 Be safe
Looks like I misspoke in the video. I clean the air filter everyday but on that video it had been about a month use on that saw. No way I’m packing that saw in and out of the bush everyday. No cleaning necessary only the air filter needs cleaning. I hand file so I file in the bush. 🤙
@@BjarneButler understand completely mate. Thanks for replying
Heard of a float plane crash off a logging camp a few days back, see you’ve commented on this video so it wasn’t you. Hope it wasn’t anyone you knew but given the size of the industry and there only being so many planes in Coal that you’ve likely flown with him. Take care.
Ya it’s very unfortunate news. I’ve flown with Air Cab many times over the years. I only know what’s on the news at this point but it looks like they crash in the same bay I made some videos on in the spring with my cousin, Strachan Bay
Fell some trees all day, sawdust everywhere, I'll be Darned.
Is it me or does that saw not have the grunt
Bjarne Butler my Coffee in the morning and my Cognac in the evening.
What type of name is Bjarne is that Swedish or European mine name is Italian and I'm Welsh lol great vids bro defently not boring
Thanks for watching. It’s Norwegian
Looks like you are in a park today. Nothin better.
DJI, the drone company, came up with a new action camera that's cheaper than go-pro. Has a neat magnetic base for tripods and is waterproof.
Cool thanks I’ll look into it
