Had this issue yesterday, started to panic, googled the problem, got to your video. I got the fuse today, changed it and it works like brand new. As soon as the fuse got inserted the car started to rise. Thank you very much! 🙏💪
Just had a series of chassis failure warnings turning on and off with my 2012 Cayenne S. Because of the on and off I didn’t believe it was the fuse, and was leaning towards a compressor replacement. Was just in Michigan and experienced -6 degree weather the other day, and I wondered if the compressor froze because of the cold and blew a fuse to protect itself. Well sure enough, that’s exactly what happened. Now that is warmer (15) no warning lights on, and the compressor is working. Advice to all with the air suspension, when it gets super cold to make sure you have a spare 40 amp fuse with you. Thanks for your help!

Had this fault and wasn’t the fuse. It was a cracked body acceleration sensor tucked away behind the front right wheel arch liner. A VW part about £130 but it wasn’t readily available. I had to wait a month for it to be shipped from Stuttgart. It took about 1 hour to fit. Remove wheel and wheel arch liner, unbolt, fit new, bolt on, refit wheel arch liner and road wheel. Job done.

ALO! You have air leak! (Nitrogen) when Nitrogen is gone compressor will take air in system... Air have moisture and your compresore froze then you blow your fuse!! when you go to warm garage air warms upp and compressor will work with regular air.... I live i Norway... and so long Nitrogen is in your air system you will NOT have any problem's!!! .... You have small air leak.. find it.. and refill nitrogen in your system....
Isnt the compressor taking air from the outside constantly? I know it has the tanks but every time it turns on.. doesnt it take air from outside to compress? Wouldnt that mean thar eventually all nitrogen would be gone?
@@TestaFranco... The compressor in car systems is a closed system.. Only when air - nitrogen is gone .. compressor vill take outside air to compensate for the leak..

It's -12 to -20C here the last couple days and my Panamera is getting this chassis system failure. When I go into an under ground garage for half an hour, it worked normal. Before I go buy the fuse and change it, I have a question. Technically does it make sense? If a fuse is blown, it shouldn't work even if I go to underground parkade to warm it up, but it went back to normal. And then when the car was outside for few hours, after work, the chassis system failure shows up again. Thanks in advance for your help.
Thank for your video mate , just wanna ask you , after I changed my alternator on 2013 Porsche cayenne gts put all back together new coolant,ready to start car won’t start no even one crank,scanner it with AUTEL scanner it shows me 15 faults before I scanned it have no faults, I checked all fuses front left cowl front right side dash nothing blown with fuses on battery as well as it’s new AGM one month old before find out it’s alternator,,, do you reckon when alternator stopped doing his job a high purge voltage pass some how to engine ecu burn it as my scanner can’t communicate with ecu ? This Cayenne has the sport steering wheel version with paddleshifters, it doesn't have any controls on the steering wheel. The only controls that didn't work was the suspension level, sport mode, and I think the auto start function
I got the same notification a little while ago and my car has no air suspension as it's panamera. Also the temperature here is over 45c !! What's the diagnosis/solution please?
It's almost always relating to air suspension, but if you don't have air suspension then it could be a fault with ABS sensors. You should get the diagnosis trouble code and look up the code to see what the issue is.
I got the same problem like air suspension 😅 I can hear is working when I turn the car on,but it’s saying ,,chassis level failed’’ so I can’t put her down to sport mode or up to the top.Did you think if I replace the fuse the problem will disapear?
Doesn't sound like same issue, yours is not leveling properly meaning sensors are not working properly. By any chance did you jack up one of the wheels recently without putting car in service mode? This sometimes causes the leveling system to give errors if you jack a corner up without using service mode. Check the fuse see if its blown.

That was my old 2003 Cayenne. I ended up selling it. After I replaced the gasket it still ran rough and turned out to be a bad ECU. I didn't want to put money into replacing the ECU and sold as is.
That's a feature, not a bug! Cold and compressors will always have issues and blowing the fuse is better than frying the motor because the piston is stuck
Hi, I am working on a 92A 2013 Cayenne with same problem. Fuses are okay but no lights on the switch panel for level control and shock absorber soft and hard buttons. Any leads?
Unlikely it's software related. Does the compressor sound normal? First check your electrical connections. Including electrical connections to the level sensors, as they must be plugged right to open or close solenoids that allow air into the shocks. Then check the valve block is connected and no leaks.
Hi i have a coolant leak that has not been fixed from over a year. every time I take it to the mechanic he tries to rip me off! any idea what could this be ? Any advice would be great 2014 model Cayenne automatic diesel . worse during winters for some reason
Coolant leak is a common issue on Cayennes. It likely leaks more during winter because the coolant pipes constrict during.cold winter months. I would ask your Mechanic to do a pressure test to find source of the leak. Unfortunately it could be.from various parts like behind the engine, underneath engine. I even had leak from coolant reservoir tank with my older cayenne.
I'm sorry to hear that, you could have saved 1000s of dollars and your time but weve all been there and hope this never comes up again for you but atleast you know what to check for next time.

This is a quick temporary fix. Compressor has moisture in it, subsequently a a leak. Fuse doing its job by turning off compressor before it blows up. What’s the update on this issue ? You can 100% resolve the issue, but this is not the solution !!
I was just given a $5,000 cost estimate to replace the compressor on my cayenne turbo. I am going to replace that fuse before commiting to replace the compressor.
Let us know how it turned out. Hopefully it's just a bad fuse. You can also have the dealer recharge the air shocks with Nitrogen to see if that resolves the issue before replacing the compressor.
I just got home from NAPA autoparts. Cost $3.50. Fault is cured. My mechanic is due for an earful tomorrow after giving me a $5,800.00 quite to repair. Thank you. Thank you. Dale

Imagine if you use the compressor to put air in your tyre.. Its not gonna magically create more nitrogen in your system

If the fuse is blown it wint work but there are other reasons that can trigger chassis failure, such as the level sensors, speed sensors for example.
@ I’ve changed the fuse tonight but the weather the next 10days will be much warmer. I guess I will see the next time when it gets cold.

Hi , when it does your steering wheel controls still works? Mine cuts the steering wheel also .

Easy. Flat plastic trim removal tool or flathead screw driver will work, just pop it off
Mine doesn't go to level 2 shows "not possible and keep showing the error of suspension system failure.
How do I remove the fuse?
Its hard to get a hold of but it comes out easily. Try needle nose pliers.

what ever happen to the valve cover gasket video? assuming you replaced it? Was that the end of the mis fires?

Panamera and cayenne share the same parts and the electrical for suspension is same so should work

I got the same warning, my mechanic replaced the aircompressor, and airsuspension.. never tell me anything about the fuse.

It's been 2.5 years and no issues so far. I still have the original fuse that I replaced when I made this video.

I had a 2003 Cayenne Turbo and it was the same 40A fuse located on the driver side. It will be the same as your 2008. Fuse#56
gonna try tmr, if it solves the problem, you will be my one true A** safer, Im going to love you.
