@@Spiderdude93 90 nodes give a high amount of a specific currency but only give 1 90+ nodes give a lower amount of each currency but give all 3, but if you need all 3 currencies its more efficient than 90 90++ gives all 3 currencies at the same high amount as their respective lv90 node
Better idea, if farming is still a FGO thing, then just make two nodes, one for Single Target farming, and the other for "regular" wave AOE NP farming.
Instead of Oberon, I have seen others use ruler Moriarty to apply Evil to BB while at the same time clearing out the Ocha Nobu to get Astraea apply her anti evil super effective modifier
@@ray-kun9 Nah, the Trungs are actually really good. Also Sea Crisis was an actual fun event, whereas the less said about the Riyo event the better. Bunyan on the other hand came out like a month after Bazett and fills the same "ST" Alter Ego role. Except Bazett blows her out of the water.
I do agree that they need to release more ST SSRs. I'm hoping that the Grand Berserker that might be released with LB7 is an ST farmer meme or a face card meme. We already have a lot of AOE Berserkers who are the best at what they do, Junao and Morgan for Buster, Ibuki and Musashi for arts and now Sen no Rikyu for Quick.
I guess since its only 2 turn you can treat it as a 3 turn and stun the large target and split the 1mil to 2 500k. Then again the moment they make it 3 turn I'm out of ideas

So, the way i see it is 90 is good for specific event currency, 90+ is good if you want to get all event currency but at a lowered drop rate and 90++ is just 90+ but with 90 node's drop rate

It would be nice if the Grand Berserker had some mechanic similar to Melusine's that allows him to choose the range of his NP, I think that would be a good way for him to stand out from the rest.
They just re-invent themselves in preparation for the next couple years of the game lifespan... At this point, the game has reached peak peak maturity where new servants bring nothing new to the table aside of "more option" to min-turn certain nodes... By introducing something that majority can't do comfortably, they soft-reset the game so that they can release the solution that excites its playerbase. In NA, the last 2 events that I did since I came back have "tricky" farming nodes as well. IMO this is a good move...This is what live service games should do ideally. Once the current content has matured and becomes stale, reinvent yourself... It makes farming a bit more fun than the last time I remembered and this will at the very least, ensure that until the 10th anniv, they have something else to offer other than "new servants to do what other servants can already do"
Also you can always just 3 turn this, I don't see the purpose of pushing for 2T unless you are farming super hard for this. I don't want to send the wrong message I genuinely enjoy this more than just arts looping. Also Also for this event specifically, just raise Iyo, she is perfect for this.
No need for apologies mate, this was a nice and insightful video. Personally, I'm not too beat up over this future trend, since I'm both in NA (and therefore have plenty of time to prepare) and don't mind simply sticking to less frustrating nodes if I can't clear them in a reasonable timeframe. Doesn't hurt that I got all the ST DPS and assorted Crit monsters to have a blast with these types of pseudo raid too.
Yeah which brings up another good feature that one should consider when rolling: content. JP probably not so much, but NA players can now have a better visual of how to prep for future content and have the best QoL based on what servants they use. Especially for significant events that gives good resources. Important especially in a game where farming is major factor.
The free release of a great generalist AoE Arts looper like Iyo, may by another signal in that direction. Exactly because they are giving her as welfare, they automatically devalue the whole system. And they are perfectly aware of this. So you are right, they are probably going to change the meta soon. If they didn't do it for the Anniversary, we should expect something huge for LB7 and/or New Year.
For the Summer Arctic World event, 5S 90++ > 6S 90+ in terms of droprates so even if you dropped down a slot (which is reasonable due to the HP values) it was still more efficient to farm the 90++ node. For the GUDAGUDA 7 event, 5S 90++ = 6S 90+ in terms of droprates for the tea mat, which is the important aspect of it. With that in mind, it's not super important to actually farm 90++ on this event unless you wanted the node mats, want to save time (2T vs 3T minimum), or don't want to plug. Going into the future I'm hoping that more events will follow the equals amount as opposed to 90++ being strictly better because the barrier of entry to 6S 90++ is very high and I'm fine with not all players being able to realistically go for that goal.
I'm in general agreement on the pros and cons of the two 90++s so far. I'm happy to be using different servants than I normally would. I farmed Summer 7 with the Trungs and this event with Caren. I'm especially happy that Quick has found renewed importance with these nodes as S. Skadi sets up the crits needed to often finish off wave 3. Another thing I'd add to this, while it's nice they gave us a welfare that can farm the 90++ node, we're like 7 months out from the last lotto, and I know a bunch of my friends as well as I lack the skill gems and QP to be building Iyo to max investment. It'd be nice if every now and then the shop had skill gems instead of statues like they often did in the first few years of the game.
great video. it's really refreshing to hear insights & analysis like this, especially since it will help non-JP players to see what's on the horizon. since Tunguska, when the DMG CEs were gated behind gacha and pure-f2p comps were tough to find, it's clear that a trend is slowly developing and i'm not sure that's a universally good thing. like you said, Oberon is a near must-have servant, and as much as many of us like to say that no servant is a "must-have", it's clear that he's about as close as it gets now. i worry that placing a limited SSR - one who has had what, one banner ever? - in such a position of importance will put pressure on non-JP players to forego the servants they might like to try for so they can have more SQ for Oberon instead. it is compounded further when considering that before this we had typically only seen such lengths of time between OP units happen for damage-dealers like Arjuna Alter and Summer Musashi. this of course hearkens back to the pain that our friend Myst went through when rolling for him, and...i'd hate to see that happen to many others simply because they feel pressured by the way the game is trending. i guess we'll see. also of note to me: i think the last new ST SSR Buster servant we got in the game was Super Bunyan and the last SSR ST Buster before her was way back to Sigurd. that's kind of disconcerting to me, since it would be really convenient to have more options for ST Buster looping, but i guess it means the next one has the potential to be massively impactful.
I like the concept of single target 90++ nodes; using Summer Hokusai was really fun for the last event and possibly other servants that don't see much use outside of the occasional challenge quests. But the 1mil HP requirement is way too harsh imo without a damage CE, I've had to give up on farming the 90++ node this event.
I like these 90++ nodes with a high hp single enemy better because it's giving me a reason to use single target np servants. My hope is that they release more servants that can switch between AOE and single target NP or introduce a new CE that switches AOE to single or single to AOE and adjusts the NP damage modifiers accordingly.
You can two turn the 90++ mission 90% of the time with the following comp - Hijikata + Sanzou + Assassin Tamamo + Assassin Tamamo with any switch-in mystic code. With that being said, this mission is pretty insane compared to the events before this.
Both 90++ nodes were quite different, i don't think it's going to be one specific way, they might keep changing it to keep the meta fresh. I used to think that my account had anything i needed, but now i might need to go after a few more ST servants in some classes i don't do particularly well, and that's interesting. Also, as long as the 90+ nodes continue being decent options, i think it's fine to have absurd 90++ ones.
I love these 90++ nodes, they are super fun the way they encourage people to be much more creative with team comp and not just brainlessly resort to 1 looping comp everytime. They are not even demanding, the previous 90++ has a damage CE and f2p dps can min turn it without Oberon, and the current 90++ can even be farmed 6CE 2 turn with just 1 Castoria and free units, so these nodes are not designed for whale at all, but people need to be extra creative, and i really like this direction they're heading.
I feel that with the current trend, If they can release a support that would guarantee your main DPS brave change (better version of Bunnytora) then farming those special nodes with ST SSR would be simpler.
We'll have to see what happens. But it is a bit troublesome. Let's face it. When it comes to lotto or lotto-like events people want and need some consistency. And having characters that can handle a lot of content lets people free up their quartz for personal picks. But if they take this the wrong way it may force rolling on a lot of different farming solutions or yeah some omni-farming single target. Maybe they'll steady things out and not take it too far. But we'll have to see.

I was thinking something they could do is a crit brave chain servant that once they kill one enemy, they move onto the next while continuing their chain. That would create the single target farmer servant
I actually like these new nodes since I can bring ST servants that I rarely use outside of CQ and I dont mind 1 million HP enemy in the last wave as long as they keep doing what they did so far, Dmg CE or a welfare that with the event bonus can be strong enough as long as you brainstorm a team.
I've found quick comps with summer Skadi to be really fun for these nodes, especially when the current SSR with trait damage is quick. I go with S.Skadi over OG in favor of more NP damage despite Koma's triple Q (but I'm at NP2). Nonetheless it's still reliant on normal cards without BG, so more 90% 2T guarantee than 100%.
NP2 Arcueid was able to 3 turn it with Koya but the consistency is based on whether or not I get a brave chain with her NP. I don't mind a change from the basic 3 turn aoe farming. Lets the single targets shine.
Personally, I really like the 90++ Nodes, It's makes some Servants you never knew you needed would be good for doing that Node I used Summer Nobu for both of the 90++ Nodes, So far the MVP of those nodes, that's because Summer Nobu just has a bonus for both events back to back
I despise the fact that Roland of all servants ended up being one of my most consistent farmers. That motherfucker could've been an NP5 Kriemhild. He's NP3, she's NP2.
I knew this was gonna be a thing since ibuki douji came out with such a overloaded set of skills, "just effing overload her, ST nods are way better now". The only way to confirm this now is to wait for the lostbelt Best farming spots, of course ibuki has a lot of use, but c'mon, an aoe arts berserker that outshines summer musashi, coming out at the same Time as the first 90++ single target nod, saw that coming from the space (?) Of course, if you love ibuki that's totally fine, but I can't stop seeing this as the most "it's way too good to be real" moment on FGO. AND yes, sorry if my english sucks.
I think one more thing worth noting is the importance of Anti-trait mods from NP, like Morgan's Anti-Man, Arc's Anti-Chaotic, etc Because those effects are categorized differently from other damage mod such as event damage bonus, NP damage up, or anti-trait from buffs like Arjuna Alter, which means it'll multiply the value even more making them scale better. So against Man trait enemies, Morgan is king(or queen) since her damage is unmatched especially when coupled with supports like Koyan to provide more buffs types in the calculation. Same thing apply for Summer Ibuki against Earth trait enemies, and other strong servants with Anti-trait mod in their NP. I personally think this is more important than just forcing yourself to get Oberon, because if you bring the right Servants for the job, like Morgan for the BB node, they can deal with the 1 million HP even without Oberon or BG with certain level of investments(NP2-3 and lv100 grail)
For comparison to illustrate how important the Anti-trait mod in NP is, in the same setup of Double Koyan + Oberon and MLB lv100 Black Grail, you'll need NP5 Arjuna Alter to match NP1 Morgan against Man trait enemies. That's how big the difference having a super effective mod makes
They've also been introducing a lot more of those anti-trait NPs in the last year or so too I've noticed, so it does definitely seem like they're trying to push them more.
@@bluess1508 Yeah, people may scoff at it being niche but it is a very powerful effect to have. So I think that having at least one attacker(AoE or ST) for each trait will be very important to reach higher damage ceiling that Lasengle is putting recently
How odd, I'm using the new ruler welfare servant with a non-limit broken black grail and I can one shot both waves, I would complain about not being able to efficiently farm this final node if there were absolutely no options but at least in my case after testing my servants I found the one that works, a free servant nonetheless, and I can farm without a problem.
And take a comp with (Merlin + Arash with NP charged to 50~60) OR (Proto merlin + Chen Gong with NP charged to 50~60) and in the first turn charge the NP of Arash or Chen Gong remove the first phase and in the second with the Mystic Code (Chaldea Combat Uniform ) change Chen Gong or Merlin for a support of any side and a single targert dps. As an example Merlin | Arash | Vlad III [Castoria | Castoria | x], in the first round I use Merlin to charge Arash to cast NP and in the second phase I change Merlin for a Castoria and buff Vlad III the 2 castorias.
Farming this exact node with Astraea rn as you mentioned her. Surprisingly I've been sometimes struggling to 2T it because my final facecard doesn't hit hard enough to one shot the Tea Nobu and instead leaves him at like 1.5k health.
I think the issue is that people are too used to the "3 turn farm" set ups and are somewhat unwilling to swap it off. We are not starved out of Single Target SR and SSR, but usually they are delegated to boss killers....
It's weird that I am F2P in JP since I started my account there from the Arctic World event, and somehow it felt more rewarding for me rather than having more difficulties when it comes to event farming irregular nodes with ludicrous HPs
Someone like Scathach REALLY benefits from this which at least makes me happy. She might actually have a benefit over Melusine even with lower refund just because Melu's damage is lower I only wish Shishou had a 30% battery so there are no worries about refund, but otherwise we are gaming. Plus if I really wanted to, I could Chen Gong all my problems away with his 10% battery
Castoria has only been in NA for a couple of months and I can already see how more that 90% of the game has now devolved into Arts looping. Honestly I think that this might let different servants have a point to exist and that’s fine with me.
Well the game wouldn't need to devolve around arts looping if they didn't force players to do that to maximize the value of their time. They could have easily have chosen to make nodes be a SINGLE WAVE and/or have autobattle feature or replay functionality like other gacha games have.
I just deal with BB with the ff: Musashi (Saber) (Her overcharge has bonus damage vs AEs and MCs) Two Koyanskayas of Light. One is a support ofc. My own Koyan has a Kscope 5 Oberon with the event CE(Skill 3 not even at lvl 10 but it's doable) Activating all skills except Koyan S1 when I see 2 buster Musashi cards on wave 1 Try to kill Ocha Nobu at wave 2 to get Musashi's cards on cooldown for a turn All buffs on Musashi except for Oberon S2 which is used on himself. Triple NP Buster Chain (Koyan, Oberon, Musashi)
*90++ kills arts looping* Nah but like, this is gonna be great for squirtle, for Lancer Scathach, for this 120 Martha Ruler I'm working on, etc. We might see nodes you wanna take soloists like Suoer Orion to.
These 90++ node should only appear in event with damage bonus CE to make it fair for everyone instead of this. At least the reward for this event is worth it.
Well, all events don’t JUST have one 90++ node, there are plenty more with reasonable difficulty levels. So asking LSG to limit it like that just to make it fair for everyone isn’t exactly sound argument imo.
90++ node is fun to play and think about what team can do min turn but I still want auto farming in this game. Because not everyone has enough time to play or has a lot of CE events to increase the number of event shop currency to reduce farming rounds. If this game has auto farming I can farm while I'm working or doing something that important. Today we have the FGOAutomata app that an unofficial auto-farming that doing by fgo fans but I want official auto-farming as a system in-game. I hope one-day dev will do this but it is just a hope, all of u know fgo's dev are lazy they don't do even a rerun event and make all of the new event stay too long(3 weeks) and have more dead week in every month this is more disaster than DW.
Looks like another wave of powercreep might be coming. Also, looking back at how awkward some farming nodes were in the past, as well as how faming in general gets tedious really fast this is a dicc move by lasagna. Need more money for yet another anime, huh?
Im really enjoying these 90++ nodes since they are quite unique Having playing for a year and finishing the story I want some challenges and these ones are a great excuse to use some of my 4 stars and 5 star that i dont really use much like da vinci ruler And nowadays im able to use my kintoki Hopefully next will be archers so my bryn can do it
Im wondering whether the welfare can predict what the 90++ node will be from then on if without a event damage ce I counted the summer event out since it has a damage ce power mod
ST servants have been less and less useful in recent years, since a lot of CQs and story fights turned into multi enemy nodes and a lot of AOE servants are so op they can easily deal enough damage. Honestly I'm kinda glad they are doing this, finally giving some spotlight to servants that simply have been neglected for far too long. If only they actually made more ST SSRs with some unique gameplay rather than the 1000th AOE farmer with 30/50% battery...

I really like 90++ nodes before 90++ a thing I always love to do weird farming team but now that this is a thing I finally got to use Gong Davinci Ruler team lol but god dam they need to lower the hp like please just make it 800k or something that like the right amount of hp for me to consistently clear it with 6 Ce and a Counter class + Oberon
So far all the 90++ node have f2p solution either by using the Damage CE or using welfare sevant. I guess if the next event doesn't give both maybe the 90++ hp threshold will be lowered
The only way I I've found to consistently 2T farm the 90++ node for GudaGuda 7 without carding is to use Caren with MLG BG, Double Summer Skadi, and Oberon. With Caren being a Ruler and having bonus damage against chaotic servants on her NP, she's able to deal the one million damage to BB with Oberon's help.
I've been using Iyo with Oberon and 1 Castoria but she still leaves BB at like 300K HP and goes to sleep herself so it takes me like 7-8 more turns for the node 😔
I actually managed to successfully 2-3 turn full ce with Douman,BB(summer),and Van Gogh+Koyanskaya of the light.You will be getting about 250k-400k damage on each buster card from bb because of the Sheer amount of massive Crit buffs.I could upload a video for demonstration if anybody is interested.
For this node they clearly had in mind Iyo with class advantage and her 100% damage bonus since they decided to not have an event damage bonus CE this time
ive had issues with this 90++ as well but i found a semi consistant way to farm it with sen no rikyu and my level 120 np5 arcueid on occasion i still have to rely on face cards on wave 1 but rikyu and arc in combo is basically guaranteed to 1 shot BB so im still gaming
As a free to play it used to be that you could just summon one good omni farmer and castoria and then have the rest of your quartz for boss killers and waifus. Now I feel like I could spend every bit of free quartz and still not have all the necessary pieces to consistently farm. This trend is pushing the game further into whale territory and my motivation to play fgo is starting to take a hit. I started out with high hopes for Lasengle, but in the end fgo has enough whales to make it worthwhile for Lasengle to push greedy strategies that leave F2P players in the dust.
Nah I don't think F2P can't survive even if can't farm the 90++ node efficiently since both Level 90 & 90+ still exist. 90++ nodes are just like what the level requirements said its meant for well developed endgame account.
it's a gacha game having good luck is part of the required skillset also, you dont have to do the 90++ nodes 90+ and 90++ nodes allow people to try different things and utilize their roster to its full potential
I honestly wouldn't call it anti-arts looping as much as I would call it anti-aoe loops. I wonder if we're going to see better ways of looping Quick or if we just go unga bunga and loop Buster for memes
They really, really hate looping. They clearly want much slower gameplay, between not wanting np skips, constantly taking the rug out from under dominant farming strategies, and so on. _Yet they keep making the game mostly come down to grindy AF farming._

You would think after all these years Lasangle would figure it out in the gameplay department, they are not Type-Moon (and even Type-Moon outsources they other JRPG anyway, now with TMBB too), but alas they focused on completely wrong things still. Its 2san, Yoshinori Ono and higher ups in Aniplex who makes the important gameplay decisions, not mainly only Nasu after all.
Yeah ST farming servants need to play catchup with AoE. Last event Faker was my god an savior since I dont have Hokusai on jp and this event my np2 grailed max fou Morgan is coming clutch with face cards vs BB (love you koyan and oberon) With musashi, spishtar, kama and now ibuki we have enough Aoe arts SSR (without counting welfares like Ranmaru, Taisui and Iyo). Buster has Morgan and Arjuna and now quick has Rikyu, wouldnt mind better loopers on quick but i would rather get a budget support
Honestly I never thought of farming as something fun nor interesting, so ever since they introduced the 90+ I've been against it. I would rather have more Challenge quest per event than harder farming nodes.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see 3-turn clear as an essential thing that every player has to do. I am one of those people that quite enjoy using face cards
I think its fun I use Vlad III np 2 with Castoria, Tamamo and Oberon to beat it, I had the append NP 1 in Vlad so I have 100 NP first turn to have 50 in the next (with Black Grial) and thats it i clear it in 2T if the same turn I have a arts cart of him

You are supposed to use Lyo. They usually give you a tool to handle difficult nodes in the events, like event DMG CEs. In this case Lyo. It hasn't really changed much and all metas are still the same. It's not a Oberon check or X servant check.
I don't know if I'd call it "anti-arts" system, I'm using Luvia and archer Artoria to farm the current node. I'd say anti-AOE, which in itself is not bad, as ST servants were close to useless. However, I think the 90++ should be limited to non heavy farming events with a dmg CE. That is unquestionable. So, this is not an appropriate event for 90++.
I dont feel good about it. Imo. Especially if they increase the drops and somehow make it mandatory to farm. But then again. I just half-ass events and get the bare minimum. I guess these nodes will make me farm even less and only focus on doable lottos. Good thing I am a veteran. So I can pick and choose what events to even bother farming.
@@munteanurodica2252 i think its just abt 10% or less Since theres like mostly a 10 drops which doesnt really change much and for a harder quest, for f2p players that doesnt have much luck, it is pretty much not worth to farm them since it will take longer Also even for veteran players Most needs a bg for it so you will be take a spot for your event ce So its kinda better to do the 90+ nodes since more space = more slots for ce Also btw iyo the welfare is pretty good for the farming node
@@munteanurodica2252 If we use the current event nodes then: - Lv90+ average 35 tea drops(3 per drop) - Lv90++ average 40 tea drops(3 per drop) So running a 6CE setup in lv90+ will give you (3+6) * 35 = 315 total tea While running 5CE setup in lv90++ will give you (3+5) * 40 = 320 total tea They're comparable even when you get to the max bonus drop of +10~12 So if you can manage to do 6CE run in the 90++ node, you'll get the most amount of drops but only an extra 40 or so drops compared to doing it with 5CE. Honestly, it's not that big of an increase unless you really want that maximum drop and sacrifice the consistency a BG provide

Unless you have a copy of Ruler Moriarty lying around which I'm not sure if slot him in instead of Oberon is actually worth it at lower NP level.

I do agree that they need to release more ST SSRs. I'm hoping that the Grand Berserker that might be released with LB7 is an ST farmer meme or a face card meme. We already have a lot of AOE Berserkers who are the best at what they do, Junao and Morgan for Buster, Ibuki and Musashi for arts and now Sen no Rikyu for Quick.

So, the way i see it is 90 is good for specific event currency, 90+ is good if you want to get all event currency but at a lowered drop rate and 90++ is just 90+ but with 90 node's drop rate

At this point, the game has reached peak peak maturity where new servants bring nothing new to the table aside of "more option" to min-turn certain nodes...
By introducing something that majority can't do comfortably, they soft-reset the game so that they can release the solution that excites its playerbase.
In NA, the last 2 events that I did since I came back have "tricky" farming nodes as well.
IMO this is a good move...This is what live service games should do ideally. Once the current content has matured and becomes stale, reinvent yourself...
It makes farming a bit more fun than the last time I remembered and this will at the very least, ensure that until the 10th anniv, they have something else to offer other than "new servants to do what other servants can already do"
Also you can always just 3 turn this, I don't see the purpose of pushing for 2T unless you are farming super hard for this. I don't want to send the wrong message I genuinely enjoy this more than just arts looping. Also Also for this event specifically, just raise Iyo, she is perfect for this.

No need for apologies mate, this was a nice and insightful video. Personally, I'm not too beat up over this future trend, since I'm both in NA (and therefore have plenty of time to prepare) and don't mind simply sticking to less frustrating nodes if I can't clear them in a reasonable timeframe. Doesn't hurt that I got all the ST DPS and assorted Crit monsters to have a blast with these types of pseudo raid too.

Yeah which brings up another good feature that one should consider when rolling: content. JP probably not so much, but NA players can now have a better visual of how to prep for future content and have the best QoL based on what servants they use. Especially for significant events that gives good resources. Important especially in a game where farming is major factor.

The free release of a great generalist AoE Arts looper like Iyo, may by another signal in that direction. Exactly because they are giving her as welfare, they automatically devalue the whole system. And they are perfectly aware of this. So you are right, they are probably going to change the meta soon. If they didn't do it for the Anniversary, we should expect something huge for LB7 and/or New Year.
For the Summer Arctic World event, 5S 90++ > 6S 90+ in terms of droprates so even if you dropped down a slot (which is reasonable due to the HP values) it was still more efficient to farm the 90++ node.
For the GUDAGUDA 7 event, 5S 90++ = 6S 90+ in terms of droprates for the tea mat, which is the important aspect of it. With that in mind, it's not super important to actually farm 90++ on this event unless you wanted the node mats, want to save time (2T vs 3T minimum), or don't want to plug.
Going into the future I'm hoping that more events will follow the equals amount as opposed to 90++ being strictly better because the barrier of entry to 6S 90++ is very high and I'm fine with not all players being able to realistically go for that goal.

I'm in general agreement on the pros and cons of the two 90++s so far. I'm happy to be using different servants than I normally would. I farmed Summer 7 with the Trungs and this event with Caren. I'm especially happy that Quick has found renewed importance with these nodes as S. Skadi sets up the crits needed to often finish off wave 3.
Another thing I'd add to this, while it's nice they gave us a welfare that can farm the 90++ node, we're like 7 months out from the last lotto, and I know a bunch of my friends as well as I lack the skill gems and QP to be building Iyo to max investment. It'd be nice if every now and then the shop had skill gems instead of statues like they often did in the first few years of the game.

since Tunguska, when the DMG CEs were gated behind gacha and pure-f2p comps were tough to find, it's clear that a trend is slowly developing and i'm not sure that's a universally good thing. like you said, Oberon is a near must-have servant, and as much as many of us like to say that no servant is a "must-have", it's clear that he's about as close as it gets now. i worry that placing a limited SSR - one who has had what, one banner ever? - in such a position of importance will put pressure on non-JP players to forego the servants they might like to try for so they can have more SQ for Oberon instead. it is compounded further when considering that before this we had typically only seen such lengths of time between OP units happen for damage-dealers like Arjuna Alter and Summer Musashi. this of course hearkens back to the pain that our friend Myst went through when rolling for him, and...i'd hate to see that happen to many others simply because they feel pressured by the way the game is trending. i guess we'll see.
also of note to me: i think the last new ST SSR Buster servant we got in the game was Super Bunyan and the last SSR ST Buster before her was way back to Sigurd. that's kind of disconcerting to me, since it would be really convenient to have more options for ST Buster looping, but i guess it means the next one has the potential to be massively impactful.

I like the concept of single target 90++ nodes; using Summer Hokusai was really fun for the last event and possibly other servants that don't see much use outside of the occasional challenge quests. But the 1mil HP requirement is way too harsh imo without a damage CE, I've had to give up on farming the 90++ node this event.

I like these 90++ nodes with a high hp single enemy better because it's giving me a reason to use single target np servants. My hope is that they release more servants that can switch between AOE and single target NP or introduce a new CE that switches AOE to single or single to AOE and adjusts the NP damage modifiers accordingly.

You can two turn the 90++ mission 90% of the time with the following comp - Hijikata + Sanzou + Assassin Tamamo + Assassin Tamamo with any switch-in mystic code. With that being said, this mission is pretty insane compared to the events before this.
at least its still 1-1-1 and 1-2 node, but who knows maybe the nightmarish 2/3-2/3-1 with variant class will appear in the future
Both 90++ nodes were quite different, i don't think it's going to be one specific way, they might keep changing it to keep the meta fresh.
I used to think that my account had anything i needed, but now i might need to go after a few more ST servants in some classes i don't do particularly well, and that's interesting.
Also, as long as the 90+ nodes continue being decent options, i think it's fine to have absurd 90++ ones.
I love these 90++ nodes, they are super fun the way they encourage people to be much more creative with team comp and not just brainlessly resort to 1 looping comp everytime. They are not even demanding, the previous 90++ has a damage CE and f2p dps can min turn it without Oberon, and the current 90++ can even be farmed 6CE 2 turn with just 1 Castoria and free units, so these nodes are not designed for whale at all, but people need to be extra creative, and i really like this direction they're heading.

I feel that with the current trend, If they can release a support that would guarantee your main DPS brave change (better version of Bunnytora) then farming those special nodes with ST SSR would be simpler.
As someone who has 2 years to strengthen my account and is already working on a 120 Luvia, this is an absolute win.
We'll have to see what happens. But it is a bit troublesome. Let's face it. When it comes to lotto or lotto-like events people want and need some consistency. And having characters that can handle a lot of content lets people free up their quartz for personal picks. But if they take this the wrong way it may force rolling on a lot of different farming solutions or yeah some omni-farming single target. Maybe they'll steady things out and not take it too far. But we'll have to see.

I was thinking something they could do is a crit brave chain servant that once they kill one enemy, they move onto the next while continuing their chain. That would create the single target farmer servant
I actually like these new nodes since I can bring ST servants that I rarely use outside of CQ and I dont mind 1 million HP enemy in the last wave as long as they keep doing what they did so far, Dmg CE or a welfare that with the event bonus can be strong enough as long as you brainstorm a team.
I've found quick comps with summer Skadi to be really fun for these nodes, especially when the current SSR with trait damage is quick. I go with S.Skadi over OG in favor of more NP damage despite Koma's triple Q (but I'm at NP2).
Nonetheless it's still reliant on normal cards without BG, so more 90% 2T guarantee than 100%.
NP2 Arcueid was able to 3 turn it with Koya but the consistency is based on whether or not I get a brave chain with her NP. I don't mind a change from the basic 3 turn aoe farming. Lets the single targets shine.
Personally, I really like the 90++ Nodes, It's makes some Servants you never knew you needed would be good for doing that Node
I used Summer Nobu for both of the 90++ Nodes, So far the MVP of those nodes, that's because Summer Nobu just has a bonus for both events back to back

I knew this was gonna be a thing since ibuki douji came out with such a overloaded set of skills, "just effing overload her, ST nods are way better now". The only way to confirm this now is to wait for the lostbelt Best farming spots, of course ibuki has a lot of use, but c'mon, an aoe arts berserker that outshines summer musashi, coming out at the same Time as the first 90++ single target nod, saw that coming from the space (?) Of course, if you love ibuki that's totally fine, but I can't stop seeing this as the most "it's way too good to be real" moment on FGO.

I’ve been using my sanzang to farm this node. Absolutely murders bb.
I think one more thing worth noting is the importance of Anti-trait mods from NP, like Morgan's Anti-Man, Arc's Anti-Chaotic, etc
Because those effects are categorized differently from other damage mod such as event damage bonus, NP damage up, or anti-trait from buffs like Arjuna Alter, which means it'll multiply the value even more making them scale better. So against Man trait enemies, Morgan is king(or queen) since her damage is unmatched especially when coupled with supports like Koyan to provide more buffs types in the calculation. Same thing apply for Summer Ibuki against Earth trait enemies, and other strong servants with Anti-trait mod in their NP.
I personally think this is more important than just forcing yourself to get Oberon, because if you bring the right Servants for the job, like Morgan for the BB node, they can deal with the 1 million HP even without Oberon or BG with certain level of investments(NP2-3 and lv100 grail)
For comparison to illustrate how important the Anti-trait mod in NP is, in the same setup of Double Koyan + Oberon and MLB lv100 Black Grail, you'll need NP5 Arjuna Alter to match NP1 Morgan against Man trait enemies.
That's how big the difference having a super effective mod makes
They've also been introducing a lot more of those anti-trait NPs in the last year or so too I've noticed, so it does definitely seem like they're trying to push them more.

So I think that having at least one attacker(AoE or ST) for each trait will be very important to reach higher damage ceiling that Lasengle is putting recently

How odd, I'm using the new ruler welfare servant with a non-limit broken black grail and I can one shot both waves, I would complain about not being able to efficiently farm this final node if there were absolutely no options but at least in my case after testing my servants I found the one that works, a free servant nonetheless, and I can farm without a problem.

And take a comp with (Merlin + Arash with NP charged to 50~60) OR (Proto merlin + Chen Gong with NP charged to 50~60) and in the first turn charge the NP of Arash or Chen Gong remove the first phase and in the second with the Mystic Code (Chaldea Combat Uniform ) change Chen Gong or Merlin for a support of any side and a single targert dps.
As an example Merlin | Arash | Vlad III [Castoria | Castoria | x], in the first round I use Merlin to charge Arash to cast NP and in the second phase I change Merlin for a Castoria and buff Vlad III the 2 castorias.

Farming this exact node with Astraea rn as you mentioned her. Surprisingly I've been sometimes struggling to 2T it because my final facecard doesn't hit hard enough to one shot the Tea Nobu and instead leaves him at like 1.5k health.

I think the issue is that people are too used to the "3 turn farm" set ups and are somewhat unwilling to swap it off. We are not starved out of Single Target SR and SSR, but usually they are delegated to boss killers....

It's weird that I am F2P in JP since I started my account there from the Arctic World event, and somehow it felt more rewarding for me rather than having more difficulties when it comes to event farming irregular nodes with ludicrous HPs
Someone like Scathach REALLY benefits from this which at least makes me happy. She might actually have a benefit over Melusine even with lower refund just because Melu's damage is lower
I only wish Shishou had a 30% battery so there are no worries about refund, but otherwise we are gaming.
Plus if I really wanted to, I could Chen Gong all my problems away with his 10% battery
Castoria has only been in NA for a couple of months and I can already see how more that 90% of the game has now devolved into Arts looping.

Well the game wouldn't need to devolve around arts looping if they didn't force players to do that to maximize the value of their time. They could have easily have chosen to make nodes be a SINGLE WAVE and/or have autobattle feature or replay functionality like other gacha games have.

Activating all skills except Koyan S1 when I see 2 buster Musashi cards on wave 1
Try to kill Ocha Nobu at wave 2 to get Musashi's cards on cooldown for a turn
All buffs on Musashi except for Oberon S2 which is used on himself. Triple NP Buster Chain (Koyan, Oberon, Musashi)

Well, all events don’t JUST have one 90++ node, there are plenty more with reasonable difficulty levels. So asking LSG to limit it like that just to make it fair for everyone isn’t exactly sound argument imo.
90++ node is fun to play and think about what team can do min turn but I still want auto farming in this game. Because not everyone has enough time to play or has a lot of CE events to increase the number of event shop currency to reduce farming rounds. If this game has auto farming I can farm while I'm working or doing something that important. Today we have the FGOAutomata app that an unofficial auto-farming that doing by fgo fans but I want official auto-farming as a system in-game. I hope one-day dev will do this but it is just a hope, all of u know fgo's dev are lazy they don't do even a rerun event and make all of the new event stay too long(3 weeks) and have more dead week in every month this is more disaster than DW.
Looks like another wave of powercreep might be coming. Also, looking back at how awkward some farming nodes were in the past, as well as how faming in general gets tedious really fast this is a dicc move by lasagna. Need more money for yet another anime, huh?

ST servants have been less and less useful in recent years, since a lot of CQs and story fights turned into multi enemy nodes and a lot of AOE servants are so op they can easily deal enough damage.
Honestly I'm kinda glad they are doing this, finally giving some spotlight to servants that simply have been neglected for far too long.
If only they actually made more ST SSRs with some unique gameplay rather than the 1000th AOE farmer with 30/50% battery...
It's time soon for a 90+++ node with a single wave
I really like 90++ nodes before 90++ a thing I always love to do weird farming team but now that this is a thing I finally got to use Gong Davinci Ruler team lol but god dam they need to lower the hp like please just make it 800k or something that like the right amount of hp for me to consistently clear it with 6 Ce and a Counter class + Oberon
So far all the 90++ node have f2p solution either by using the Damage CE or using welfare sevant. I guess if the next event doesn't give both maybe the 90++ hp threshold will be lowered
ngl, looking at this now, Olga unironically can turn into this omni farmer sorta if her np is ST
The only way I I've found to consistently 2T farm the 90++ node for GudaGuda 7 without carding is to use Caren with MLG BG, Double Summer Skadi, and Oberon. With Caren being a Ruler and having bonus damage against chaotic servants on her NP, she's able to deal the one million damage to BB with Oberon's help.
I also use a np2 caren with skadi and Sskadi and she also works too. Tho iyo is a good replacement since she is np5 for free and have a bonus damage.
I've been using Iyo with Oberon and 1 Castoria but she still leaves BB at like 300K HP and goes to sleep herself so it takes me like 7-8 more turns for the node 😔
I actually managed to successfully 2-3 turn full ce with Douman,BB(summer),and Van Gogh+Koyanskaya of the light.You will be getting about 250k-400k damage on each buster card from bb because of the Sheer amount of massive Crit buffs.I could upload a video for demonstration if anybody is interested.

ive had issues with this 90++ as well but i found a semi consistant way to farm it with sen no rikyu and my level 120 np5 arcueid
on occasion i still have to rely on face cards on wave 1 but rikyu and arc in combo is basically guaranteed to 1 shot BB so im still gaming
As a free to play it used to be that you could just summon one good omni farmer and castoria and then have the rest of your quartz for boss killers and waifus. Now I feel like I could spend every bit of free quartz and still not have all the necessary pieces to consistently farm. This trend is pushing the game further into whale territory and my motivation to play fgo is starting to take a hit. I started out with high hopes for Lasengle, but in the end fgo has enough whales to make it worthwhile for Lasengle to push greedy strategies that leave F2P players in the dust.
Nah I don't think F2P can't survive even if can't farm the 90++ node efficiently since both Level 90 & 90+ still exist. 90++ nodes are just like what the level requirements said its meant for well developed endgame account.

They really, really hate looping. They clearly want much slower gameplay, between not wanting np skips, constantly taking the rug out from under dominant farming strategies, and so on.

Yeah ST farming servants need to play catchup with AoE. Last event Faker was my god an savior since I dont have Hokusai on jp and this event my np2 grailed max fou Morgan is coming clutch with face cards vs BB (love you koyan and oberon)
With musashi, spishtar, kama and now ibuki we have enough Aoe arts SSR (without counting welfares like Ranmaru, Taisui and Iyo). Buster has Morgan and Arjuna and now quick has Rikyu, wouldnt mind better loopers on quick but i would rather get a budget support

I think its fun I use Vlad III np 2 with Castoria, Tamamo and Oberon to beat it, I had the append NP 1 in Vlad so I have 100 NP first turn to have 50 in the next (with Black Grial) and thats it i clear it in 2T if the same turn I have a arts cart of him
I'm thinking of that will they make 90++ node with mobs with just 20 - 30k but with 100% damage resistance like that Siegfried fight in Nerofest. Can Angry Mango poster girl farming be a viable choice?

You are supposed to use Lyo. They usually give you a tool to handle difficult nodes in the events, like event DMG CEs. In this case Lyo. It hasn't really changed much and all metas are still the same.
It's not a Oberon check or X servant check.
I mean, Oberon is way more important to the clear than she is.

But even when using Iyo, oberon is needed to reach 2 turn easily
I don't know if I'd call it "anti-arts" system, I'm using Luvia and archer Artoria to farm the current node. I'd say anti-AOE, which in itself is not bad, as ST servants were close to useless. However, I think the 90++ should be limited to non heavy farming events with a dmg CE. That is unquestionable. So, this is not an appropriate event for 90++.

I dont feel good about it. Imo. Especially if they increase the drops and somehow make it mandatory to farm.
But then again. I just half-ass events and get the bare minimum. I guess these nodes will make me farm even less and only focus on doable lottos. Good thing I am a veteran. So I can pick and choose what events to even bother farming.
Its never mandatory, as ive mentioned unless its a lotto event it barely makes any difference. Even as a lotto 90+ isnt far behind in terms of drops.

Since theres like mostly a 10 drops which doesnt really change much and for a harder quest, for f2p players that doesnt have much luck, it is pretty much not worth to farm them since it will take longer
Also even for veteran players
Most needs a bg for it so you will be take a spot for your event ce
So its kinda better to do the 90+ nodes since more space = more slots for ce
Also btw iyo the welfare is pretty good for the farming node
@@munteanurodica2252 If we use the current event nodes then:
- Lv90+ average 35 tea drops(3 per drop)
- Lv90++ average 40 tea drops(3 per drop)
So running a 6CE setup in lv90+ will give you (3+6) * 35 = 315 total tea
While running 5CE setup in lv90++ will give you (3+5) * 40 = 320 total tea
They're comparable even when you get to the max bonus drop of +10~12
So if you can manage to do 6CE run in the 90++ node, you'll get the most amount of drops but only an extra 40 or so drops compared to doing it with 5CE. Honestly, it's not that big of an increase unless you really want that maximum drop and sacrifice the consistency a BG provide
@@TheAnaz41745 Eh, I am not that of a min-maxer. I dont even have a top tier arts np looper. Besides soon I will go for the double DPS route with 2 non-event CEs to 3turn. So I guess I will be sticking to the 90+ nodes, if it isnt such a loss.
