Nova Motorcycles 2000 Indian Scout

What can only be described as a crass attempt to trade-in on dead, but iconic brand, the 2000 Indian Scout comes across more like a Harley dressed up in Indian clothing. With the heart of an S&S 88 engine it takes a double take to realize this is not a Harley. And while it does have a couple of classic Indian features, this parts bin special must be acknowledged as the beginnings of the rebirth that Polaris has brought fully back to life.

i bought a couple of indian scouts when they were cheap; 1967, 1970. the scouts were smaller displacement bikes. one of mine was 440cc; the other was 45 cubic inches. the idea of calling an 80+ ci bike a 'scout' certainly was an interesting advertising gambit.

@@peterrestaino7047 they had lower end issues, mostly. They can be fixed, often using S&S parts funnily enough.
