    I spoke to Browning technical support when I was shopping for an OU. I am a lefty and was curious about the standard cast on Browning guns. The tech told me they are all cast off about a quarter of an inch at the heal. While that may not sound like much I assure you it's enough to put your eye out of alignment with the site rib or you will have to readjust.

    If a gun does not fit me well I have a 12 gage pump. I don’t know if it ever came with shims and stuff. Who do I take it to to get it fit professional?

    There's drop at nose, drop and comb, and drop at heel. Not all stocks have a straight comb, some a monte carlo some are Bavarian style pig's back style. But you're essentially correct.

    Thank you.
    Browning over and under doesn’t have the cast in shotgun stock.
    Please let me know what do you think of that.
    Thanks again.

      Correct. Most Citori models are a neutral cast. I find that nice as a RH shooter and I have some lefty friends that enjoy that feature as they do not have to search forever to get a true LH firearm.

      * I did the same. At the time I became friends with the manager, a guy named Jeff. Can't remember his last name, but he always treated me like family when I showed up during fishing season. Great store.

    When I hunt huns in a t-shirt in September versus December roosters in a parka, there can be a couple inches difference due to clothing thickness, so how can the shotgun fit in hunting uplands where temperatures can vary from below freezing to the 80s?

    • @ReedsFamilyOutdoorOutfitters
      @ReedsFamilyOutdoorOutfitters  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From personal experience, changing of the butt pad can be a simple solution. Most guns can accept a buttpad and there are varing thickness of the pads. Benelli offers an array of buttpads that make it easy to adjust the LOP without significant modifications. Even my old trusty 870 can take different buttpads to fit to the season. Early season duck hunting I usually have the thicker pad on (less clothing, more cushion). Late season the thinner pad (more clothing, less cushion needed). Just a thought for a simple, quick solution.

    Das Problem ist, dass die Meisten schützen gar nicht merken dass sie den Kopf leicht vom schafft abheben um über die Schiene schauen zu können und somit ihren festen Kontakt verlieren

      You are correct. The eyes closed fitting is the quickest way to recognize that. Now, afterwards, it is up to consistent practice to make sure you are staying in good form and making sure you are staying aligned.
