Well, of course you crash landed. You plonked it down onto a mostly-decommissioned military base that only takes light aircraft and helicopters now.
Back in the day, you would have had no problem, since it was rated for the C4 Galaxy and the Avro Vulcan. You should have headed for Stanfield International Airport, about 35-40 km away.
