      Public discorse and outcry is the first step and spreads awareness. Not a surprise that people are not pissed enough to override our fear of death. But soon even that fear will be overcome. This is a good start. Peacefully expressing our rights. Getting arrested. Having the charges thrown out. And back again. The civil rights movement, mlk jr. not malcom x, but he was still instrumental, mlk jr preached non violence and many blacks were not only arrested but beaten and killed. So we just haven't reached the happy ending yet because it takes time. Once we get enough support at the top, then things will change

I'm sure if we had seen more of the video, there would have been other evidence of both 1st and 4th Amendment violations. As to the second part of your comment, that's exactly why some States are actually making it specific. To take away the perception that the cops are always right.

    • @meowcow21
      @meowcow21 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@FishnChips136 it is correct. In videos like this that Always has people like you chanting "end qualified immunity" qualified immunity wouldn't actually apply, exactly for the reason you said. Blatant violation of a constitutional right. Qualified immunity only protects officers when accidentally violating some kind of law when the application of the law is ambiguous in the scenario. It's crazy how you don't know that. And the law doesn't have to be "specified" or "recognized". It has been a law for a long time that citizens can defend themselves from a false arrest without legal repercussions. Obviously self defense laws apply so you can't just kill a cop because he's forcing you to leave an area but you can fight back if they get physical.

      I believe small towns have been around as long as Big town, and the citizens are just as observant and educated as anyone else, but it the law enforcement who ate given 6 weeks of training, which is quit appearent not long enough. But the city buys time by giving Qualified Immunity to judges and cops, thus passing all financial responsibility to the Taxpayers, which should never be done. At least in Nevada, Montana, Colorado and New Mexico there are no Qualified Immunity for cops!..
