Hiking alone is stoopid. I used to hike by myself, with my dogs, all the time in the Co Rockies in an area 5 miles from home. One cold, winter day I stepped into a low spot and immediately got sucked into a creek hidden by the snow. I was chest deep and the daylight was drawing near. I dug for 4 hours to get out. NO ONE was around to hear me holler for help. My dogs stayed close to try and protect me, but damn I was cold. Fingers quit working, feet were numb. I finally dug myself out.
I always carry my Garmin inreach on the trails, even if I'm within sight of city streets. The new iPhone has sos satellite, Android should be getting it soon as well.
One of the things Dave espouses is to always carry a personal locator beacon if going alone, they have gotten relatively inexpensive and it will save your life. Another point, out of all Dave's mysterious missing cases, he has never had a case matching his criteria, of someone who brought BOTH a firearm and a locator beacon. Never know what or who you'll encounter... Just seems like good sense
If you read David Paulides (the man being interviewed in video) books, you'll find out there are even more scarier things out there that can happen to you.
Number one rule when you go into the deep woods, is don't go alone. Number two rule don't go off the trials. I know both these areas and have climbed Mt. Rainier and almost fell 500 feet into a crevasse, thank God for my ice ax and training. On the way down I hit an ice patch that launched me down a snow patch my crampons couldn't stop me, with about twenty feet to go before I went over a ledge, I turned over on my belly and dug my ax into the Icey snow and stopped with about five feet to spare. I had five others with me, we had un-roped because it was gravel until it wasn't. I was so busy trying to stop with my feet that I didn't remember I had an ice ax, but one of my partners did and called out to me use your ax. That's why you never go alone.
I always go into the woods alone because everyone I ask to go with me will not I always go alone with the hopes I will get killed and get removed out of this horrible horrible world
I was hiking on Haystack(?) rock, got distracted and ended up falling 10-15 feet down a slope. I caught myself on a ledge...if I had missed it I would have gone another 80 feet or so into the sea. Waves were breaking below, so the rocks would have broken my fall before I drowned. I am a weak swimmer in the best of circumstances; coastal waters in April are brutally cold. People disappear for all kinds of reasons..this could have been mine.
@@Hatbox948not likely, the cases Dave writes about specifically rule out cases of misadventure, accidents, predators, voluntary disappearances, foul play, etc. In your case they would have brought in dogs that would have been able to track you to your probable demise. In Dave's cases, dogs can't (or sometimes, very oddly, won't) track. His cases mostly are very hard to explain away with conventional methods (although that is not to say there isn't some very unusual mundane explanation in some cases), to the point where leo and s&r cannot explain what happened
If you dont know Dave's story, he's an ex-cop from Fresno. Known for his honesty, level-headedness, and trustworthiness, he was commissioned to investigate the Bigfoot phenomena and give his honest opinion on it. This lead to other areas of investigation, of which he has written several books and has made movies as well. Very intriguing to watch, if you haven't. I've followed him on TH-cam for a long while now, and he really is the best investigator in this field. I can't say enough good things about him. The "suicide" of his young son, who made these movies with him, never set right with me. There are those who, lets just say, don't want what he researches to be told - for many reasons. I highly recommend searching him out, as you won't be disappointed. God bless Dave. He helps so many people.
What his son was starting to touch on was the real truth 🙏 I believe what Ben was looking into could absolutely be possible ... I'm an avid fan as well ...
I've seen the 3 films in that series about what he found; absolutely fascinating, very much worth watching. Agree with you about everything you said - except he didn't work in Fresno he worked for San Jose Police Dept.
I have been hiking in deep woods with friends before and suddenly had a very odd feeling of danger. Not sure why, but we turned back and didn't go any further.
I live in Port Angeles Washington, only 17 mi away from Olympic National Park. I was so glad to see that David was interviewed on the local news. I have been following his channel on TH-cam for years now. I hope other people check out his channel and subscribe. Be careful out there everyone!❤
I lived 17 years within the ONP boundaries on the North Shore of Lake Quinault. Same time the Blair Witch movie came out. 😱 Beautiful and remote but could also be creepy at times. Never have checked out Hurricane Ridge; on my bucket list!
My friend was a professional trapper and sold trapping supplies and so on. Many years ago (maybe 30) his friend who was a trapper and the trappers girl friend and toddler were in the woods. Something happened and the two adults disappeared not far from Mineral Lake. The toddler was found unharmed by the Roy 'Y' by a department store. They assumed that maybe the boyfriend had killed the woman. Later they found his skull in the woods.
@@Laffy1345 Yes, they did. They found her first & the boyfriend's skull yrs. later. Not sure but I think they identified the killer too, they initially thought it was him because he had some violence issues yrs. earlier. The young child kept saying (before mom was found) that 'mommy was in a tree' It's a haunting story, wish I could remember the names, but glad that at least the child was found & reunited with her grandma (the child's pic was posted in a newspaper, that's how her grandma located her after reporting them missing).
I found this case under tube sock murderers and I mentioned mineral lake and camping! Another prior double murder happened before this one! The child was found out side a K- mart store 2 mi. away! She said Mommy was up a tree! 😮
Man disappears in Elbe hills near Mt. Ranier, me being raised up there as a hunter tracker offer to help police locate this lost man. Police/rescue refuse my local knowledge, man dies in forest.
You’d think they’d welcome 6:27 a local with specific knowledge- but egos get in the way. Or maybe “their insurance made it prohibitive” or some such nonsense.
Most of Dave's cases rule out conventional or mundane explanations such as misadventure, accidents, predators, foul play, voluntary disappearances, etc. (though sometimes his research falls short on details).
That happened in SE Washington when a teenager left the trail from his cross country skiing companions. The locals who knew the area like the back of their hand, were not allowed to help search for him. The boy was found dead from hypothermia the next morning. Too sad.
The under grow is so thick in Western Washington, that that would explain any disappearance. You can't see farther then 50 to 100 feet in any direction. a lot of times even less.
Don't tell that to the 411 believers. They actually believe that the disappearances are the result of some nefarious operation conducted by Bigfoot, the government, and possibly aliens. I am not joking or exaggerating. That is what the Missing 411 is about.
Read David Paulides books and watch his movies. I’m a long time fan of David’s work. He is a retired police detective and does thorough research. You won’t go into the deep woods alone again.
He is a disgraced cop, got caught trying to solicit autographs from celebrities while serving as a court liason. His research, if you call it that, gets debunked on a regular basis. You 'villagers' need to do your own research and quit taking DP for his word.
I attended a Sun Bear event on Mt. Rainier in the mid-90's. It was a large group of people and most of the time I was involved in group activities. However, the 1st night I had trouble going to sleep. I went to take a quiet walk around the camp when all of a sudden I got this "bad feeling". I stood at the entrance of our tent and looked out into the forest. The odd thing was that there wasn't a single night sound... always an indication to me that there was a major predator in the forest. I stood there and felt my heart start pounding in my chest with an overwhelming sense of fear. I looked around at the others sleeping to see if anyone else had awaken. But all was quiet...too quiet. The 2nd and last night we were there, I was too frightened to sleep. My logical mind kept telling me there was nothing wrong but my intuition warned me to stay vigilant. Mt. Rainier is an old and beautiful place...but it wasn't safe. I never went back.
They talk about there being these clusters, but I wonder: these are some really popular areas. Are there more people going missing here just because that's where people go?
you'd think it could be that simple, but the ratio is still much higher in the cluster zones. and these cases fir specific criteria that render them "unexplainable". So its not just the area it happens in but the nature of the even and the circumstances surrounding the search.
The missing case in Washington that I find the most interesting is the case of Sam Sayers. They had experienced searchers out looking for her within hours of her disappearance. They hired private search and rescue teams who spent months scouting every inch of the area she vanished from with dogs, drones, etc. Never found a single trace of her. My guess is that she made it off the Mountain and was abducted in the parking lot at the trailhead!!
@@xxxsandman Many have said, yes, they are being taken underground (but into the DUMBs) for adrenochrome. I would not be surprised. The world is asleep to so much.
It's important to know your limitations. Don't hike alone in inclement weather or anywhere you're not familiar. Also don't take on hikes that are at the limit of your ability. I see people hike alone in the deep snow miles from the nearest popular trail and have to wonder how many lives they've used up.
Hartonas and Vikili were not the most experienced in the world! That is a Huge stretch! They had “some” experience but not enough. They went up in bad weather which any relatively experienced person knows is a bad idea, they didn’t have a tent and had to make it all the way to Muir in order to have shelter! I helped search for them for 8 days! And! They went up in the worst weather month on Mt Rainier. They got caught in bad weather and had to dig in, that’s why they were never found because they likely dug a big snow cave for shelter, then the weather turned really bad and they were buried alive!
Very interesting, thanks for the info! As a fan of Dave, this is where some of his research just falls far short. Some of the cases he presents, on paper are mysterious, but upon closer inspection could be explained. Some, though, do defy any rational explanation. At the very least his books do raise awareness of these cases, and his yt channel often promotes the idea of responsible outdoorsmanship.
Shhh. You walked into a circlejerk and are killing the vibe. Missing 411 is for people who want to blame disappearances on bigfoot, aliens, and the govt.
@@cynthial841 I don’t think these two guys had that technology with them. They may of had a gps with them but that only allows the people to find their way, not others to find them
Yay David Paulides! He's been researching & reporting on these missing persons cases many years & I'm a fan & subscriber of his TH-cam channel for years. Great man doing important work!
I've been solo hiking and climbing in the Olympics and all over the Cascades along with other ranges in the lower 48's like the Sierras for about 13 years and have never had a mishap. Ultra awareness of your location with a GPS or a paper topographical map is key, along with food, clothing, emergency blanket. Avoid cold wet weather unless very prepared and know your physical limits.
I remember reading an article in the Seattle Times ( YEARS AGO) and it talked about all the people who have simply vanished there. Some of the stories were absolutely fascinating , one guy Stopped at the Longmire Ranger station parking lot on a Spring/ Summer day to go bird watching and was never seen again. I’m sure he somehow wondered off the trail and got lost , 🤷♂️ The guys walking ( basically) up to Muir , in the hottest part of summer only when you get within site of it is there snow. They must’ve tried there hike at a different time to be seriously dangerous , I didn’t see any crevasses in that area at all. That story is definitely a strange one.
I fell shoulder-deep into a small crevasse once. It was no big deal to me at the time because I was roped up to a quick-thinking partner. But later I thought about how unnerving it was to have the bottom drop out from under you, and how quickly and unexpectedly a life-threatening event can happen.
The Muir snowfield doesn't have crevasses, it is not a glaciated portion of the climb. but if you get up to Camp Muir and make a wrong turn....that is where my friends have disappeared.
An urbanized population interfacing with the wilderness it is surprising more people don't go missing. The two "experienced" guys gone from Mt. Rainier were not Daniel Boone types. They were modern urban people with experience and gear probably taking chances. No need for Twilight Zone music here, such cases are what you would expect. And searches done "shoulder to shoulder" do not happen in rough wilderness so such areas are not really searched. More likely searchers walk trails and roads, look over embankment, make noise, fly over the area, and the clincher you are in good hands; obese "searchers" ride quads down dirt roads. These cases are not mysterious at all.
When I lived in the area, I got the impression that many people thought you could just hike up Mt. Rainier. Maybe it was because the whole park is so pretty and easy to get to from cities, with maintained roads, picnick areas, etc.
there are more than a few airplane crashes still hiding on Rainier. So a body would be way harder to locate than aircraft. Too much area, too dangerous to go looking.
@@mssmssmssmssMaybe because you CAN just hike up Mt. St. Helens! I've been up there twice, to the crater dome! But, St. Helens is different that Rainier for sure!
When I was on my way up Rainuer, I passed people who had strolled up a half hour from the lodge- wearing dress shoes and Sunday best. In the snow. Not prepared for a cloud to roll in.
I used to hike alone in the middle of the night here in western washington all the time when I was younger cuz I liked to enjoy the sunrise at high peaks. Believe me when I say that even if you go out there into the woods and mountains alone, you are truly never alone. You will sense that you are being watched by something.
Way back out of high school I worked at Ranier. Despite many trips from the lodge up to Camp Muir, on one ocassion I wandered off onto the Nisqually glacier, and only realized my mistake when I came upon a large crevass. If I had fallen into it, I would be one of the mystery missing. Nothing mysterious about people getting lost in the fog or dark on the trip to or from Muir - lots of rescues on that stretch.
I live 3 miles from Olympic National Park. For 30 years I hiked & backpacked all over California. But I never trek alone up here. Even wearing my 1911 and equipped with top notch survival gear, I just get an eerie feeling that ruins the whole point of getting out there
No, he's just trying to copy other autho's on the missing person genre. His success is due to the internet and gulllible people. The government doesn't usually hand out grants for grifts either.
Another thing that I enjoyed recently was listening to an audiobook about The Bermuda Triangle. I forget the exact name of the book. They had ships that survived this phenomenon, where some kind of fog enveloped the entire ship, including some kind of fizz or something that made the water look white. When they got inside this fog, they lost track of time, and if it was an airplane, they might fly hundreds of miles in a short time in a way that wasn't possible. They would see the ship's magnetic compass spinning around. It was so common to see the magnetic compasses behaving strangely that people who sail in the Bermuda Triangle take it for granted almost as a joke, like 'Ha ha, the compass is going crazy again,' and then they go on with life, if nothing else happens.
@@deerichardz Yeah? People still go there. Things don't happen to EVERY ship or plane that goes through there. The phenomena are intermittent and unpredictable.

They're not finding these old cases. I had a friend 'take a long walk into the woods on purpose' if you get what I'm saying. They were found eventually, but the bone field was spread out over the size of a football field. Once scavengers get to work they can destroy evidence in a matter of weeks.
The areas mentioned here are vast in size and many areas are thick with undergrowth. Visibility is often just a few yards and only an accomplished outdoorsman should attempt a trek through such conditions. Without constant compass readings and a good estimate of speed and distance traveled, it’s a risky move to go into the wilderness areas of Washington state. Many years ago I rescued a fella about twenty five miles north of Camas Washington in thick underbrush carrying a fishing pole and totally lost. He was only 30 yards or so from the road yelling help, but unknowingly paralleling the road. I faintly heard his yelling as I was driving my old ford down the gravel road and stopped and honked the horn. His voice picked up and it was clear he was frantic. I yelled back to him and he finally appeared, waving his fishing pole in the air and mighty glad to find someone. For a few years, I was in the Silver Star search and rescue group and they used CB radios to coordinate their searches for lost individuals.
When my daughter and I first moved to Portland, Oregon, there was a young girl who went missing hiking up in the Gorge. Her mom was coming in the next day to go hiking with her. Sadly, she had fallen off a trail and broken her neck. Her body went under the foliage and could not be found by local cops. Luckily, her family had connections and/or mone, and they hired a team of professionals who located her within 24 hours. I think this happens often in the PNW. And the animals get to the remains, and that is that.
This gentleman must have his facts wrong. In the first story, he states that "the parents were behind some trees 150 yards away." Now, I don't care where you are but if you're out in public and your young children are 150 yards away from you then YOU ARE TOO FAR AWAY.
@@ronaldyarush9907 Umm yes they do. I was hiking once and one crossed the trail we were on carrying bleach, broom, bag, and duct tape. He then said, "Nothing to see here. Happy hiking." Yes, cats can talk.
My dog and I were walking in a city park, there was a guy, and my dog pulled me out of there. I truly believe he saved my life. He's an LGD, and the best dog ever. 💖🐾
He's not talking about the possibility that many of these cluster areas disappearances may be related to sex traffickers. Other searchers have talked about this. It's just one more reason why you should never hike alone. Also a well written news article several years back determined that many of the missing cases are not reported soon enough which means valuable time was lost in which victims could have been found. And that the park services aren't always set up to be prepared for missing people searches and so getting dogs, organized law enforcement and volunteers to go out to look for those that are lost can also take additional time. There was a tracker noted in that article that was able to go out and find at least a couple of the victims bodies. They were actually in the area where they first went missing. But because of thick brush or the landscape the original search party didn't find them. Basically there's lots of issues when it comes to missing persons in a park and there needs to be a better system put in place when someone goes missing.
You don't know this man at all. My family and children were threatened by people connected to his page. Even used my dead grandson as a reference to what was going to happen to my kids and loved ones. The only thing I did was try to spread the truth about Sasquatch. This man also invited me to his personal page directly after the threat about me winding up on the missing 411 list, instead of fixing the threats they reminded me of the threat I received 7 years ago against my own children. For trying to spread truth about the government. He's probably a Mason and has handlers. If you look closely at his eyes in pictures on the internet, he's a Nephilim. Or eljo his eyes aren't right. He's evil and I don't believe his son offed himself either.
@@Shadoweknows76I THINK IF they wanted to keep a lid on things, David Paulides wouldn't have been allowed to do this for so long. He's shining a torchlight on what otherwise would hardly be news.
Yes, I have seen MANY deer, rabbit, bird, cow carcasses. It takes days, sometimes weeks for scavengers to get rid of the basics (skin, eyes, organs,...) but there is hair, and bones for months and years.
I have found a freshly killed deer. And it was almost completely buried with just an antler sticking up. I pulled the head out of the ground. On my way back it was covered back up. Cougars. They’ll eat humans too.
Great quote but don't remember who - Not only is the universe stranger than we suppose, but it's far stranger than we CAN suppose. Ppl like to think that with modern science we got it all figured out. Ask any specialists on the forefront of cutting edge research on any particular area of the sciences. We really, really don't.
Sorry, there's no such things as he says there is, he's a very nice man and truly believes in what he says is happening, it's simply human errors or hidden, old holes, you can take one step wrong and end up under a large icy crevice, where you'll never be found, most hikers don't follow the rules and that's how they really disappear.
Anyone just driving through a forested area can literally see how easy it is for someone to disappear from sight just from the road. It’s not difficult to get lost even if you’re an experienced hiker.
Agreed, I’ve tried to listen to David Paulide’s YT Channel and quickly lost interest. He may have good intentions, trying to help find people and writing about people who have gone missing or have been murdered, but he’s too opinionated (esp. re: politics) and readily shares his (biased) opinions. He also lacks critical thinking/reasoning skills in his assessments. As a former Police Officer, I would expect more a logical and reasoned approach. Sadly, he doesn’t seem to be mentally healthy and I hope he gets help if and when it’s needed.
Those two areas are extremely rugged hiking. Not for beginners. Lots of optimistic people over-estimate their stamina, coordination, skills with map and compass.
I've hiked the Muir snowfield and up to Camp Muir. It's pretty wide open and straightforward, interesting that two experienced people could just *disappear* ...

When walking in the wilderness 1. Don't hike alone. 2. Stay on the trail. 3. If you hear something in the woods. No you didn't. 4. If you see something in the woods. No you didn't. 5. If you hear someone call your name. No they didn't. 6. If a river rock is in your path turn and walk back. 7. If an egg is in your path turn and run back to your car and leave the woods.
Something is out in these mountains, when you go to certain areas or its just a certain type of day you can feel something around or just in the air itself. Ive had very odd instances with and without people and pets. People of all types will tell you the same. One of the more odd things was seeing a part of my campsite get brighter at about 7:30pm in October about 10 miles outside of the Henry Jackson wilderness. Saw 1/4 of my campsite get bright like a BMW was driving up to us but we were the only people in the area for miles. Only had 2 other trucks pass 5 hours prior that day.

The two hosts didn't know what to do with David. They seemed a little uncomfortable with the subject matter. He's a great guy and if you aren't familiar with him and his books than then I highly suggest to check him out. Being informed of these disappearances can make a big difference in hiking safety and understanding your surroundings. And as he says, NEVER hike alone. At this point in time, it's just not a good idea.

We were staying in Sequim for a few days. Before we ever got there my wife was hell bent on doing a hike in the Olympic national forest which was weird to me because she isn’t an active person by any stretch of the imagination. Something in my gut/intuition was not agreeing with her on doing the hike. Nonetheless I didn’t agree to it nor did I disagree with it. It was myself, my wife, our 10 year old daughter, our 7 year old daughter, and 20 year old son. We drove far from where we were staying because my wife had a hike planned out. We drove really far up into the mountains of the Olympic national forest. I had a very off feeling the entire time before we left, along the way, and once we got there. In fact any time my wife brought up going on this hike I felt very uneasy. We finally got there and we all got out for our hike. I was carrying a .45 cal handgun and that was all we had. It was like everyone was completely oblivious and just in the clouds as far as awareness goes. I couldn’t shake it and as we walked further and further I recognized that I was sensing danger and dread. We walked for about ten minutes give or take before I made an executive decision and said “nope we’re leaving… sorry but I don’t feel right at all about this.” So we turned around and headed back towards our vehicle… we made it, all while my head was on a swivel and my senses were going wild. I started feeling MUCH BETTER as we started driving down the mountain to the road besides the fact that I noticed multiple signs of missing people who had mysteriously vanished up there. At least 3-4 different missing people and maybe even more… I didn’t stop to look but did notice different names and genders. I was like WTF?!! My wife says “oh I saw some of those on the way up.” I wondered why she never mention it and I wondered why she never felt uncomfortable about going out there. I know without a single doubt and I mean it no doubt at all, that something would’ve happened that day… I just don’t know what although I can easily speculate. I have my theories.
David Paulidas was oneof the first people to highlight just how many people have come up missing with zero trace in many of our US National parks and forests! Too many to be just animal attacks where clothing would be found or something! There have been many odd occurrences... so he deserves to earn respect and money for his continued efforts! If you were someone with a family member missing you might have more respect!
If he's trying to prove the existence of Bigfoot/Sasquatch, genetic evidence, even via poop, ought to be available and already found and analyzed.@@wildone106

I hate it when someone says they passed a "polygraph", doesn't mean $hit, that's why they are not admissible in court.
They're easy to fail if someone's innocent but very hard to pass if someone's guilty. They're used to rule people out for that reason
an experienced competent polygraphist can be very helpful, but true its definitely not fool proof !
The FBI uses them all the time, tho: they can definitely be helpful in initial stages of these kinds of investigations.

Interesting story, did they ever find her remains?

Man disappears in Elbe hills near Mt. Ranier, me being raised up there as a hunter tracker offer to help police locate this lost man. Police/rescue refuse my local knowledge, man dies in forest.
Well that was very sick! So sorry they refused help! 😮
You’d think they’d welcome 6:27 a local with specific knowledge- but egos get in the way. Or maybe “their insurance made it prohibitive” or some such nonsense.
Just driving up through Elbe is spooky enough. There’s something not right up in them woods…

I never went back.
sounds intense 😳 - the silence was a dead give away that something was there that did not belong there. always listen to the sounds around you 👂🏼
There's something there. That doesn't want people there! Your experience is scary but relatable that's why we were born with instincts
They talk about there being these clusters, but I wonder: these are some really popular areas. Are there more people going missing here just because that's where people go?
you'd think it could be that simple, but the ratio is still much higher in the cluster
zones. and these cases fir specific criteria that render them "unexplainable". So its not just the area it happens in but the nature of the even and the circumstances surrounding the search.
Washington has some very unforgiving terrain, and if you don't know what you're doing it'll kill you fast.
It’s because there’s a cougar in the area who’s learned humans are very easy meal.
My guess is that she made it off the Mountain and was abducted in the parking lot at the trailhead!!
the tardigrades got her , and took her underground

I have hiked alone for 25 years. Still have not gotten lost or died. I'm one in a million!
Have any of these missing people carried a tracking device on them? Like the Garmin device? Or are all these people untraceable?
@@cynthial841 I don’t think these two guys had that technology with them. They may of had a gps with them but that only allows the people to find their way, not others to find them

I solo hike also. I’m very aware, only do decently traveled hikes & easy to moderate hikes. I would never hike if I waited for someone else
PPPPP = Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance
It is ludicrous how easy it is to get lost in the woods.
It's not hard to just stay on the trails.
Especially in Washington State
I remember reading an article in the Seattle Times ( YEARS AGO) and it talked about all the people who have simply vanished there. Some of the stories were absolutely fascinating , one guy Stopped at the Longmire Ranger station parking lot on a Spring/ Summer day to go bird watching and was never seen again. I’m sure he somehow wondered off the trail and got lost , 🤷♂️
The guys walking ( basically) up to Muir , in the hottest part of summer only when you get within site of it is there snow. They must’ve tried there hike at a different time to be seriously dangerous , I didn’t see any crevasses in that area at all. That story is definitely a strange one.
I love this series! Thank you, Dan! Fun to see the U.S. through your eyes.
I was stationed at the North Cascade National Park before Mt.St.Helens.
Yup. I have summited Rainier three times. Although not on any of these trips, I have had friends lost on the Muir snowfield.
My childhood dentist’s brother fell down a crevasse and will never be found on Rainier
I fell shoulder-deep into a small crevasse once. It was no big deal to me at the time because I was roped up to a quick-thinking partner. But later I thought about how unnerving it was to have the bottom drop out from under you, and how quickly and unexpectedly a life-threatening event can happen.
@@rebeccaleegabbard I am so sorry to hear about this loss of life.
@@RetNemmoc555 Your climbing partner is everything. I am glad you got out safe.
The Muir snowfield doesn't have crevasses, it is not a glaciated portion of the climb. but if you get up to Camp Muir and make a wrong turn....that is where my friends have disappeared.
Makes me scared to hike alone, but I'm new to this area and don't have anyone to go with, not even a dog.
Let local police

Look for a hiking club , meet others to hike with!
So don't go.
The Sierra club organizes wonderful hikes in many areas.
The Sierra Club here has leaders who like to hike too fast and leave slower ones behind. Not cool.
Nice to see someone using common sense.
Thank you for having David Paulides reply on this program.
Even wearing my 1911 and equipped with top notch survival gear, I just get an eerie feeling that ruins the whole point of getting out there
Mr. Paulides had been ahead of the times on this topic. He should be able to apply for a government grant to afford further investigations.

You do know, there is regular traffic, air and water, that goes right through the 'triangle' this very day, right?

Governor Inslee should lead the state legislators into the wilderness in a search for these missing persons.

Every one... Listen to this respected fellow. He knows what’s going on- and doesn’t brag about it. Smart and real.
Great books that will blow your mind!

Bigfoot needs a new friend.
Crevasses are big and deep, and the snow falls fast sometimes. I think this guy is trying to sell books.
There's puma's in the crevasses..
Joe Biden's Bull $hit is also really deep, so what are you trying to say??
Go watch his documentary before making uninformed comments
David Paulidas was oneof the first people to highlight just how many people have come up missing with zero trace in many of our US National parks and forests! Too many to be just animal attacks where clothing would be found or something! There have been many odd occurrences... so he deserves to earn respect and money for his continued efforts! If you were someone with a family member missing you might have more respect!
If he's trying to prove the existence of Bigfoot/Sasquatch, genetic evidence, even via poop, ought to be available and already found and analyzed.@@wildone106
The snow fields are on top of a glacier with huge crevasses .
I had the same thought. Someday future generations my find them in the melt water at the bottom of the glacier.
Nope. The snow fields are the snowfields and the glaciers are the glaciers. They're close and that's probably what happened.
I think the vast, dense woods in Washington are unfortunately a easy place to hide bodies and people 😢 my husband grew up on Whidbey Island so we have been there many times visiting his family and friends 😮
