I’m not sure how the drivers are time delayed, since the crossover is passive. Isn’t the CBT tech here more accomplished by driver shading - less power sent to drivers at the ends of the array)

CBT is definitely the best solution for home theater.

Are those CBT 70J's enough, output-wise, for a big home theater if someone was to use those as LCR?

@@imip.1252 I know someone that uses them but their theater isn't very big. Still, I think they would work for a pretty big one, they're really overkill for his. I suppose I can't really talk about overkill considering the CBT's I built for my theater🙂

@@imip.1252 the 70j-1 are rated for 119dB continuous - 125dB peaks. You can do the math for loss of SPL at distance from there. My first experience with the CBT 70J-1 was at an AMC Prime theater. So if a flagship premium commercial theater can use them, then I’m sure they can be used for home theater. They were the best speakers I’ve ever heard in a commercial cinema at that AMC Prime.

@@jvonengelnis that thetre that you heard the JBL 70 speakers in still open in Kansas City? Because I'm coming for mwave 23 and would like to hear those speakers in action, down here in Texas the best theater speakers I have heard are qsc so far
