What a tight venue, I think it is the smallest one so far, and so cool to have such an amazing history. This would be a bucket list Bar for sure.
I remember when the IF was there that I think Kootch (and Waddy?) had some altitude issues. Hope it all goes well for all of you over the next couple of nights. Heck, I just remembered you all were in Telluride, which is even higher, so no issues. Enjoy the beauty and balmy temperatures!
We played The Wheeler Opera House and they were both sick from the altitude.

Aspen is certainly picturesque and the Belly Up is one of the smaller rooms that the LLLB play which allows for an intimate atmosphere.
Love coming back to Lee's channel every so often. Offers a perspective that no one else can.

@@KittyCarlile-490 Brutal. We've become like mole people, if it's 95-110 we only go out at night (some times it pays to be eccentric). Don't forget to hydrate, it's also good to have a spray bottle full of water and a little handheld battery operated fan....

I would prefer that but the horn section is there and with risers it just does not work. On the small acoustic tours I do set up on the hi hat side.

it reminds me of a very tiny bar i played in reichenbach in germany, very small club but yet they manage to have all the well known names of prog music like steve hackett, martin barre an original member of jethro tull, michael angelo, carl palmer, mike keneally, and such....sometimes the vibe is as good as a bigger place.....
Carl Palmer as in Emerson, Lake and Palmer or am I way off on that. Not sure EL& P are still alive

Belly Up Aspen was opened by owner Michael Goldberg in January 2005, two years after his brother Steve acquired the original Belly Up in Solana Beach, CA. Continuing the tradition of a family run business, Michael now owns the club with two of his sons, David and Danny Goldberg.
Listed as one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “BEST CLUBS IN AMERICA,” we are a 450-capacity music venue at the base of Aspen Mountain. Hey Lee, I saw an episode of Happy Hour on TH-cam yesterday. You were the musical director and Dweezil and Ahmet Zappa were the hosts. I never saw the show when it was originally on the USA network back in 1999. Can you do a video about it?

That's a small stage for a *large* band.
I think that place was called "The Parrot" or similar in the 80's. I saw Russel Smith from Amazing Rhythm Aces in Jan 1989 there. A very, very good show.
Shaun Colvin and KT Tunstall will join Lyle and the band at Red Rocks.
