The Mililani Orchid Society went on a safari to S&W Orchid Nursery. For some of our members, it was their first time visiting the nursery. It was a great day!
Jeremy of S&W talks about cattleyas at our monthly meeting. Good food, good fun, orchid education and some beautiful orchids!

What a fun meeting that was, Jeremy with his chicken manure😂😂, your vice president, was it Patrick, was very funny. Food, WOW, looked good. The tour of S&W, what a great time everyone had, best part was the shopping😍, thanks Kelly , it was a fun video💖💖💖
Aloha Linda! It really was a fun meeting! I smile every time I watch my own video 😂 The food was yummy and my orchid took first place so it was a really good night. I’m glad I was able to include some clips of our nursery tour. After realizing my mics failed and the video had no sound, I wasn’t sure how I was gonna make it work but I think it turned out pretty good. I just can't get enough of the Den. yellow splash, it deserves a first prize. As for the Toshie Aoki....STUNNING is the first word that comes to mind. I have checked this one out on several nursery websites and as I don't have enough light indoors it would need to live outside and I also have a problem with bugs getting to the buds. I used to have a lot of cattleyas but since downsizing our home some things don't do so well here. Thanks for sharing another great video Kelly, I always enjoy watching your channel.
Watching on the big screen the flowers look amazing. Toshi Aoki is amazing. Of course they are my colors. The “yellow splash” is the king there. It deserved the prize. Jeremy always gives those types of simple tips that make my brain explode. He’s so good at his craft. I love that he lets the orchid dry out after dividing. That makes so much sense. Its like letting a wound heal before covering. I loved all the orchids behind Jeremy. They all look so healthy. Loved the ending. Your video gives off a good vibe to the club. Makes me want to join the clib. Great video! 🫶🏼🤙🏼 PS Loved your first-time appearance at the end of the video in the photo. Looking like a star with your shades. 😎
@@naturenel Aloha Nelson! I agree, it definitely makes a big difference when you watch it on a big screen compared to a phone or tablet. You can see everything so much better. I love the colors of the Toshi Aoki, unfortunately mine didn’t last long because of thrips 😞 My yellow splash looked amazing when it bloomed but one morning I went outside in my garden and the spike was barely hanging on! Glad the timing was right for me to bring it to my monthly meeting so everyone could enjoy it while it was in bloom. Yes Jeremy makes things very simple and easy so I’m glad I’m able to share his growing techniques with everyone. I truly enjoyed making this video so I’m glad you liked it 😊 Mahalo for watching 🤙🏽
