The copperheads I’ve run into have been territorial and aggressive. And let’s not forget poisonous lol

Copperheads are such beautiful and rather docile animals when not provoked. What an awesome encounter!

Copperheads are a protected species. It's illegal to kill one unless it's an immediate threat.

Been there, done that several times.
There are some weird creatures living in the outflow of those cold water springs.

I hope that River stays like that for you I'm from Florida and the rivers around me are inundated with tourists and new people that have moved here they've ruined everything

The locals here hate tourists and run them off every chance they get. It's bittersweet

Great vid, beautiful scenery. We're doing this float in a little less than a month, can't wait, I hear great things about it. Was Cave Spring easy to miss? I've heard people have missed it. People have been talking about a tree or log the last 30-40 minutes of the float that has been flipping people occasionally. I wonder if that's the spot where you said a guy bent his canoe up.

Thanks for watching! I don't think you can miss it. its a huge opening on the left side of the river. The cave sets back a little bit so you dont see it until you are 100 yards upstream from it. even if you happen to paddle past it.. it wouldnt be hard to back track. the current right there isnt super strong.

Thank you for watching! The put-in is called Akers Ferry and the take-out is called Pulltite. Beautiful stretch of river. If your looking for a river outfitter Akers Ferry Canoe Rental has been decent.

      @@colby_rogers I doubt it. I was there in the 60s and 70s.
It took millions of years to carve that cave. It's not going to change much in a few decades unless it collapses on itself.

@@jhandle4196 I was just referring to the amount of traffic/people visiting. With the economy being so terrible, more and more people are finding cheaper hobbies, aka kayaking, hiking, camping. I have personally watched Arkansas blow up over the last few years. It didn't used to be over crowed

Garmin Instinct 2. I also use the 64sx. The instinct is great. I have ran it against the Fenix 7 a handful of times. For the cost of the instinct it's well worth it
