  • This video shows the first run of Ardumower DIY lawn mower with 3D printed chassis named Arctic Hare. The chassis demonstrated here is my improved version of initial Arctic Hare chassis designed by Robin Fröjd.
The whole chassis acts as bumper. I need to rework some protective parts because bumper gets triggered by high lawn and bumps on ground too.

What a great design. Enjoyed watching the uploads & stages taken to get to this stage. Wanted to ask what kind of gps system you use to get those straight lines in the previous video? Looking forward to future uploads & congrats on your invention

      Hello,
all credits of this design goes to Robin Fröjd, I just changed few things so it is easier to print and added some extras.
Regarding GPS, it is totally useless for lawn mowers. It is way too inaccurate to be used for anything.
Ardumower uses different sensors, in my opinion most important is a working odometry. Some people uses IMU/compass modules but shown here, it doesn't.
You'll find all information about Ardumower, incl. all used and testet hardware and software at www.ardumower.de, also in english.

      Hello,
have a look to Ardumower at Google. There is a community at www.ardumower.de and a git repo containing Software and schematics. This is a project based in Germany but english is welcome there.
You find all components at www.marotronics.de. I'm not related to this shop but I'm a satisfied customer there.
You can also build PCBs by your own as this is an open Source project.

unfortunate result. the cost price of the component sis such that it is better to buy a finished product.

What do you learn by purchase a ready product? Why does your grandma knite socks when you can buy them for less? It is a hobbyist project and not a race to beat price of big companies
