- This work by Shankaracharya was translated into Tamil prose by Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi while he was still living in Virupaksha Cave. It is a very free translation, even the order of the paragraphs being changed to some extent.
The Vivekachudamani is an introductory treatise within the Advaita Vedanta tradition of Hinduism. For many centuries has been celebrated as a teaching manual of Advaita. The Hindu tradition attributes it to Adi Shankara of the eighth century CE.

how is ego without beginning when there was awareness of the 'realisation' 'ohh... I EXCIST! and then the burst into space happening from my heart after that. Feeling, vibration, breath, mind, the sense of I, time and space came all at once long ago. It repeats in a subtle manner every time the I am unconsious in sleep or even just absorbed in activity. Then I need to remember 'o yeah, I exist, I am so and so existing in a world and these are my patterns and story I tell myself'
