Something I would love to see you talk about out is how you get paid. I own a tree service and have a timber harvest license in the northeast. I typically do a couple logging jobs a winter. I really love the change of pace but only cut and have to hire a skidder and operator. Curious about if you’re self employed or what. Love the videos you guys go super hard. Love it
I am a retired trucker living on over forty acres. I enjoy working with the trees. Had I known this years ago I would have pursued a career as an arborist or something. I used to climb critical rock and enjoyed that as well, so it is like the best of both worlds. Truck driving is inherently dangerous as well, so I enjoy that challenge. Great channel!
It doesn't have to be a sad thing, at least, not as sad as it looks from the outside. That one tree puts about 5 men to work for an hour each, that ine tree can be enough wall studs to frame a small home. And in that tree's place, more will be planted, same as this one likely was, because it was not a very old beast.

i second that. i was just doing a lot clearing this week (i get paid hourly) and was wondering how fallers get paid in production settings
I'm in the northeast as a production cutter I get paid $300 a day 8 hours
600 a day in north idaho 6 hours
I think workman's comp for single saw is like 36 bucks a hour
