Tho Ryu never formally trained Sakura she's actually a somewhat competent fighter, i think she would beat Sean since he doesnt seen very strong YET. But i think he has more drive and determination to be a better fighter whereas Sakura is starting to wan in that department.

Sakura really has grown up. She achieved the strength she wanted. But now she knows that she can't do what Ryu does. She can't just drop everything and start traveling the world, looking to grow stronger. She knows one day she will die, and her strength will die with her. So now, she wants to start a family, so she can pass her strength down to the next generation.
Wow, they made Sakura's issue really relatable. We all struggle with ourselves about the future. Knowing that we will all die one day. What can we leave in this world that can help the future and our purpose?
Still I think of these two acting like brother/sister alike. At least that what I think when I read most of the comics from Udon Entertainment. But this story and the one from Super Street Fighter 4 makes me wanted to poke!

RedoLane i Was a fan to die of Ryu and Chun li, ( its a good fan couple) but its like... The throphy pairing, in the canon no one woman cares about Ryu like Sakura does. Yeah Ryu had a words with other girls but not in the same way, its just the story behind these two.
Caleb Lael Chun-Li and Ryu do interact briefly with her, go all on fights, and eventually Chun-Li has grown fond of him. While I do understand this is Sakura's story, but Ryu admires Chun-Ali's determination since the Street Fighter 2 series.
A.J Thomas in the canon they never had a deep interact until Sfv as friends. I know that flashback in sf alpha 3, Sakura Is there too, Chun li doesn't see Ryu in some romantic way, Charlie or guile have a strongest relationship with Chun li than Ryu.
In my opinion, Sakura has found the answer to a great doubt that neither Ryu has been able to clarify, why become the strongest or the best? In any case, getting it will not have any value if you do not have a reason that makes you feel good with what you get, we all have the same destiny and for her to reach him, without even living the pleasures of life is something he does not want, LIFE IS MORE THAN FIGHTING WITH THE FIST! To matured too much in such a short time, and with it responsibilities are brought, to pursue a goal without having all the necessary tools ?, Rays I can not imagine that. Wonderful. I see that Sakura is starting to question her life decisions. This is great! I mean, Sakura is young and (was) a high schooler. She doesn't have the life Ryu does and doesn't exactly have his drive. Even though Ryu still isn't ready for a disciple (seriously, by the time SF3 New Generation/2nd Impact comes, Ken has a disciple. Aren't you going to do that too Ryu?! XD), it's nice that he's still offering his advice to her; as little as it may be. It's really nice, I like it. It's a short story focusing on a Sakura that's growing up. Real-life stuff (minus the Street Fighting, lol). Even a grown up Sakura is still cute in my book though~! ^_^
We all thought she was some type of flight attendant, but it turns out she's working at a part time job at an Arcade... To be honest, aside from the possibility of her being a flight attendant (which isn't true apparently), I don't know *why* she's wearing an earpiece. ^_^U

I've always favored the RyuxSakura ship, and it's definitely nice to see her progressing as a character. At the same time, though, something about it rubs me the wrong way. The "having kids" angle makes sense on paper, but I don't know... it just feels odd that we'd go IMMEDIATELY from "I like fighting, and I'm in love with Ryu" to "I think I'll get a full-time job and breed." Like, could we maybe explore her dating and getting into teaching a bit while still making time for fighting before we jump to going full normie? Also, she's worried about the cost of travel? Feels like there's someone she knows who manages perfectly fine traveling on just fight money...
I know responding to a 5 year old comment is a bit odd but I think what she had was a ROUGH idea of what she wanted to do. She doesn’t want to JUST have kids, she’s come so far that she no longer is just the student, she believes herself to have learned enough to become THE TEACHER to give what she learned to the next generation and to help and inspire those who are also new to fighting like Ryu helped her. I can definitely see her opening her own dojo and teaching fighting to newcomers.
I would rather not have that relationship to be canon. Can't you tell on their age difference? Ryu's is about In his thirties as Ken and Chun Li while Sakura's in her early twenties. I ship Ryu x Chun Li instead.

Perhaps the most thoughtful of the Character Stories (along with, surprisingly, Poison's). Interesting to note this has the same name as the anime McDonald's commercial that was extremely popular while this was being developed, and the two arguably share similar themes and tone.

Charlie was gonna be dead by he end of V either way, because his body would decay either way. Giving the win to the poster boy only made it more humiliating.. Cristian W. Nash's development was great until they made his sactrifice against Bison. It should've been Ryu and Guile distracting Bison and Nash makes the self destruct killing Bison in this process.

If we follow the years before the game was retconned to fit the present day. Sakura should be 20-22 while Ryu should be 30-32 so their age gap isn't big. This is based on whether SFV takes in 1994-1996.

RedoLane i Was a fan to die of Ryu and Chun li, ( its a good fan couple) but its like... The throphy pairing, in the canon no one woman cares about Ryu like Sakura does. Yeah Ryu had a words with other girls but not in the same way, its just the story behind these two.
Caleb Lael Chun-Li and Ryu do interact briefly with her, go all on fights, and eventually Chun-Li has grown fond of him. While I do understand this is Sakura's story, but Ryu admires Chun-Ali's determination since the Street Fighter 2 series.
A.J Thomas in the canon they never had a deep interact until Sfv as friends. I know that flashback in sf alpha 3, Sakura Is there too, Chun li doesn't see Ryu in some romantic way, Charlie or guile have a strongest relationship with Chun li than Ryu.

Wonderful. I see that Sakura is starting to question her life decisions. This is great! I mean, Sakura is young and (was) a high schooler. She doesn't have the life Ryu does and doesn't exactly have his drive. Even though Ryu still isn't ready for a disciple (seriously, by the time SF3 New Generation/2nd Impact comes, Ken has a disciple. Aren't you going to do that too Ryu?! XD), it's nice that he's still offering his advice to her; as little as it may be.
It's really nice, I like it. It's a short story focusing on a Sakura that's growing up. Real-life stuff (minus the Street Fighting, lol). Even a grown up Sakura is still cute in my book though~! ^_^

I've always favored the RyuxSakura ship, and it's definitely nice to see her progressing as a character. At the same time, though, something about it rubs me the wrong way. The "having kids" angle makes sense on paper, but I don't know... it just feels odd that we'd go IMMEDIATELY from "I like fighting, and I'm in love with Ryu" to "I think I'll get a full-time job and breed." Like, could we maybe explore her dating and getting into teaching a bit while still making time for fighting before we jump to going full normie?
Also, she's worried about the cost of travel? Feels like there's someone she knows who manages perfectly fine traveling on just fight money...

I know responding to a 5 year old comment is a bit odd but I think what she had was a ROUGH idea of what she wanted to do. She doesn’t want to JUST have kids, she’s come so far that she no longer is just the student, she believes herself to have learned enough to become THE TEACHER to give what she learned to the next generation and to help and inspire those who are also new to fighting like Ryu helped her. I can definitely see her opening her own dojo and teaching fighting to newcomers.

Perhaps the most thoughtful of the Character Stories (along with, surprisingly, Poison's). Interesting to note this has the same name as the anime McDonald's commercial that was extremely popular while this was being developed, and the two arguably share similar themes and tone.

If we follow the years before the game was retconned to fit the present day. Sakura should be 20-22 while Ryu should be 30-32 so their age gap isn't big. This is based on whether SFV takes in 1994-1996.

Next thing you know, it will be like Jann Lee and Lei Fang scene with the train where they were about to fight. Then the train starts shaking and they lose their balance with Lei Fang on top of Jann Lee realizing how close they were and all they could do is just stare at each other.
