Thats my little brother she’s talking about and he actually lived with my father most of his life soo please know all the facts before you believe a little segment. thank you!
😢When he spoke my heart dropped. This is exactly what is going on today across America. All these young men with no fathers and killing is rampant. I pray this young man got his life turned around.
Yeah, but these things always happen for a reason. The parents have all these other kids, and between that and work, they are probably not taking much of an interest in this kids life, making him feel neglected and unloved. So he found a way to get their attention with the delinquencies. Also, it could be bad influences he has probably been hanging around to get the attention and love he has been wanting from his parents.
He probably just smart lol. Like he doesn’t even study, he just goes to class and does the work easy. When he is out of school he feels like he can be free and do whatever. He is looking for attention.
The problem is that this child hasn't had a parental figure to look up to. So he connects with his peers, his peers are a bad influence. The bond between parent and child was never there so children bond with their peers because as adolescents connection and direction is our innate need and when we dont get that at home we look else where.
You're right. Its basically an outcry for the love he isn't feeling from his parents. I'm sure they do love him, but they have probably been allowing their time to be all taken up by the other kids and work without realizing it. Possibly.
Tell me why I'm in tears over here at how true Steve's statements are! Love on your kiddos by disciplining them along the way. One day they will thank you!
she said ''my husband and my son's dad said I should step back and allow the son to learn from his mistakes'' are you serious? This boy is crying out for help by acting out. I suggest you get to the root cause of his issues and help him before it's too late.
The mom can try to take her son out on dates (just the two of you). He is not too old and will welcome the idea. .I read that This is especially effective for boys. I have four kids and my eldest son gets so excited when it is his turn to go out with me. He chooses the activities and it can be a simple walk in the park, a basketball game at the community center or a sit down dinner at Mcdonalds...he just wants time with me. And he talks so much during the times when it's just me and him. I am getting to know about things that I would have never known had I taken him to Mcdonalds with the three other kids. Discipline is great but it can't fill the void that a child feels He needs attention and may feel deprived with five siblings. I know that some children do well with little attention but every one is different.
Discipline doesn't always translate to spankings. As a parent I incorporate everything that is necessary from spankings to punishments and each of my children require something different so I think at the heart of this is understanding your child and knowing what your child needs as it relates to discipline.
He’s 17, about to graduate and start his own life they can’t spank him forever. And he has five brothers and sisters, yet he’s the only one acting out. There’s no way they have six kids with NO discipline and only one breaks the rules. Steve’s right, it’s gotta be something deeper going on.
*Discipline is important but also understanding the child needs room to grow. Guiding them is essential but don't control them to the point you hinder the child's creativity. To many of us become brainwashed by society and by the time we reach adulthood we've lost our dreams, our creative spirit in trade to live a life paying bill's and simply surviving instead of thriving.*
@@nozikhumalo8076 I completely agree. So many parents form of discipline is to put a child on a path that the child doesn't want to be on. I agree that misbehaviour is unacceptable but how many parents tell their kids what to go to school for or what kind of job to have when the child wishes a different path.
@@marinearenaswimmingpools5320 Agreed, that is disrespectful. Many parents form of discipline is control. That's the type of discipline that hinders the child's creativity.
Steve remains entirely genuine. At the same time, Steve appears to have lived to stick around logically consistent. It gave me the shivers, knowing that Steve had previously stated Nipsey within the current context. Why do bitter individuals normally slay selfless saints? Such a line of thinking deserves to become willfully diminished. Nipsey put Lauren London's guard down by actively listening to her and her children. Besides that, Nipsey's efforts drove a compelling case for Lauren to feel at ease with her ordinary routine.
Usually it's because they aren't being challenged enough at school. Someone needs to sit down and let him know that his luck will run out soon..... Get a hold of him RIGHT NOW!
This happens to my bff’s son. The same age too. They divorced & the ex is a cheater. Got in trouble but still an honor student. The mama should be at piece 1st.
I so, agree and can relate by experience! When a child is undisciplined, cut them no slack! To do so, is dangerous for the child and all involved! Breathe down their back like a dragon that is if you truly love and want to save them from certain danger because it is surely coming! Know that there are plenty geniuses in prison and in the grave because of undisciplined behavior. Hope and pray this child will not be one of them!
our parents back in the days could kill us if we try to do stupid things or misbehave. i don't know parents nowadays. they feel so hard to touch their kids. i teach my kids when they were small.. just like i was taught. Now they listen to what i say.. Hope they listen to uncle steve..
This hits me right to the core, I also have a blended family and the kids love me and respect me...my husband and I found out last Friday that the little one, 6 years old, stole books from the school's book fair. He put them in his sweater, then hid them in his mom's place, under his pillow for weeks. The only reason we even found out was because the older brother, 9 years old, checked under his brother's pillow, saw the books, and told him that he needed to come clean to their mother. We are seriously so heartbroken that he acted this way, and yes my husband and the kids mom had a conversation of what they need to do to stop this behavior (as this is the 3rd time he steals) and based on the past, the "punishment" always lasts a few days in their mom's place. However, they KNOW that we don't play in our household and I'm just so unsure of what to do next because it just blew my mind what he did :/
He's still young so you can definitely teach him what he did was wrong. Sometimes it's as easy as asking the child to tell you why they did - and waiting on the answer. When u help them trace back their steps to that moment where they made the decision to do the wrong thing - they'll start to rethink everything! Wish u all the best.🤗
@@insertnamehere9154 thank you very much. My husband had a honest conversation with him over the phone and his reasoning for doing it threw us off so much because we have never said those words before. We will see him today after this incident, so we'll see how it goes
Do what my father did for me when I was 6. I stole a ceramic cigarette lighter from a store. I guess it was pretty to me or maybe I wanted to give it to my dad...he smoked. When he saw it, he asked me where I got it. I did not answer. He took me back to that store and asked for the owner. He made me tell that man what I had done. I gave it back. My dad then asked him if there was any work I could do to pay him for the time he did not have the lighter. They gave me a broom to sweep. The broom was bigger than me. The entire time I swept, the owner said I can't believe that you...of all kids would ever steal. I never stole again.
@@HoneyBee4163 thank you so much for your story! We're actually doing that at the moment, we went to talk to the principal and she suggested community service at the library for 3 weeks, we said ok. We made him return the books and apologize to the principal. I'm hoping this teaches him something
Good punishment. If that does not help and he steals again, then he needs to work to earn doble the value of the goods he stole and he needs another consequence, like not playing with his friends for two weeks, or not going to his friend's birthday party, or not having any fun outings, etc.
Divorce parents should remember, divorce for children especially the older kids can be near the same level of trauma as death of a loved one. To them somebody did die, their family. As a parent your life shouldn't move on until the child's. It would be the same as advising your child to immediately jump into a serious relationship after a traumatic breakup, your setting them up for failure.
I’m not proud of this but I too was an honor roll student in high school taking AP and honors classes. But I too was well known by the police department in my area for drugs, vandalism, etc. One day my principal snapped at me (I was his most frequently visited student) and he said “don’t you get it? I wasn’t the same after that conversation.
