Man, WWF No Mercy is my personal favorite! I still have it and play it to this day.
Notes: When you create a wrestler, you might notice the profiles of wrestlers that aren't in the game but you can make them in the game (Thrasher and Mosh, Gangrel, Dude Love, The AKIMan and the AKIWoman and the Mean Street Posse, Rodney, Joey Abs and Pete Gas). I've got help from vids on how to make them! Plus, "Original 4" is a homage to the Undertaker's old theme before he turned into an "American BadAss". Which is why I made a Flashback CAW of him with his "Lord of Darkness" roots.
Yeah the original music was something else lol.
Theres also attire for Hulk Hogan red and yellow. Sting taunt and finisher. Big show attire. Booker T scissors kick finisher and other wrestlers references

Aw yis, finally I see someone gathering all these secrets from this marvelous game.
Looking forward to part 2! I remember that two of the "original" theme songs in the edit section were "game versions" of Undertaker and Big Show's theme song.
Also, when you buy the Bazooka at the Smackdown mall and give it to wrestlers like Chyna, you change their entrances (I don't remember if it was only Chyna but I always give the bazooka to her since it was part of her entrance at some point)

Yeah, the options feel endless! So many unique outfits and classic attires. Plus almost all the moves from previous games and taunts.
I’ll add one. Royal Rumble is misspelled in I believe it’s the screen after you select Royal Rumble mode. It’s at the top of the screen. “Royal Ramble” 😆

You can get out of bounds if you Swanton bomb someone on the table off of a ladder if their head is hanging off the table on the side by the barricade
This was one messed up game lol. Realistically could give 2k20 a run for it's money.

Weapon shots only being a DQ inside the ring was an old obscure rule quietly introduced and even more quietly reversed around '99. There's Raw matches where the announcers hint at the rule when weapons are used outside the ring but they rarely ever explained it. That's all to say that the AKI games were kinda technically accurate.
If that's true that's actually amazing.
So the Rikishi Banzi Drop is stoger and is actually an extremely strong finishing move for Rikishi when in special.
I always liked that move. I liked it better than the stink face for sure.

If taunt steal while the opponent has a special you will do the special taunt
I did the math.. 21% of the roster has passed away :| (15 passed away / 71 unique people, excluding Ho & Foley's 2 extra slots)
Yeah, it is sad to look back at unfortunately. A few more were close as well such as Perry Saturn. Happy he changed his life around. Also when you look at it by just 2005 I think like an entire stable size of wrestlers passed. Eddie Guerrero, Big Boss Man, British Bulldog, just to name a few.
One bug/glitch is that everytime you ref a match, the CPU wrestlers will randomly switch their attention towards you and start to hit you out of nowhere

I remember a friend and I doing the bronco buster from two ring corners at the same time for the extra disrespect to the opponents. It was fucking hilarious.
Also, in the smackdown mall there is a move that is listed twice to purchase, I forgot the name.
I think the banzai glitch was intentional as it’s the best move in the game so they wanted to emphasize it. Also it’s a good earthquake effect.
I believe you can also grab weapons in the Armageddon arena stage but I forget where
I thought there was more stages but I could only go based off the base game. Part 2 will have more things to do with Championship and hidden characters but if Armageddon does have another area to grab weapons it will be in the next part. Thanks for watching and contributing!

I don't know if thats a glitch, but when you press the Z and c-down, the character you're using is controlled by CPU, so when i used to play with my cousins and they perform a submission i switched from player to CPU to get very fast to the ropes for a rope break Lol.
So that was a top secret for me and my brother 😂

@@beanomac3126 also another trick i used when I used to play with my cousins,at the first blood matches, my personal character was created with Chyna base model, so I never got bleed 😂😂
And at regular matches one of my cousins always liked to see us bleeding so few times I changed the base model of my character and he always wondered why my char was very hard to make him bleed 😂😂

Just make sure to not elimate all opponents on the table/Truck, or the game will be stuck.

@@beanomac3126 I always end up with glitched copies somehow so I've spent way more time with Wrestlemania 2000, yet it's always the music from this one in my head.
@@pantheonvideo yeah unfortunately No Mercy is one of the most glitched Wrestling games created. Including its launch blunder. Mania 2000 is underrated as well.
@@beanomac3126 I bought it at launch as a teen. I had it for a few weeks and was so upset the first time it glitched and erased my created wrestlers and all my progress. I started getting interested in dating around that time and stopped playing video games for a while, but I've definitely had a better relationship with AKI engine wrestling games than most humans over the past 20+ years!

so im guessing the banzai drop has a similar property as the people's elbow and the worm (with drop chop) where if you do it correctly with special, the opponent flops about. what damage do these moves do? im curious if people's elbow is like S level and what damage the worm chop was. also... any other moves like em?
Can't remember to be honest. Probably something you'd have to look into the game files to see. Kinda like how there are S rank moves, but some do more damage than others. Like Stone Cold's Stunner is actually weaker than Bradshaw's Strong Lariat!

i never got why nm didnt have a tables match when they had table models done already.
My guess is they couldn't figure a way to make it not end quickly. And maybe they couldn't figure out how to make it work like the ladder where you can set it up and stuff. I also heard from one of the producers that the new match types took up a lot of memory. So maybe that's why.
Had this game since it's release abs didn't know about getting weapons from the Tron😂 i did know about the backstage spots though
All the AKI N64 games (WCW and WWF) allowed you to steal the opponents special

The banzai im guessing it's because is just like Scotty's worm chop or peoples elbow...is supposed to be more impact full as a finish....at least that's how I saw it.

I don't think they have a corner animation like that. Maybe try Road Dogg's shakey legs, D Lo's Leg Drop, or even Stone Cold's Elbow drops. Works for high flying moves such as the swanton bomb and diving headbutt.
No Mercy came out when I was 15, HCTP came out when I was 18. I totally get why younger generations think HCTP is superior to NM. Maybe it's a generational thing, but NM had so many unique idiosyncrasies I could spend at least 40 minutes describing them. The one I will mention is what can be described as a "violent wiggle" prone wrestlers with a certain amount of damage do: It's pure magic. I seriously hate to admit it, but 2K19 has replaced NM as my favorite wrestling game: It's a 9/10. With that being said, if someone (cough, UPW, cough) could produce a wrestling game true to NM's gameplay while simultaneously modernizing it, I literally can't imagine anything else on the market being able to compete with it. #supportultraprowrestling
Yeah I'm looking forward to Ultra Pro Wrestling as well and try to plug it when I can! Can't really get into the modern games past 2k14 though. Mostly because they crash or erase my data on me. (Something's never change) 😭 I actually played HCTP first but it was too fast for a young kid like me at the time lol. Thanks for Watching!
If you didn't say something I was gonna. 2k14 was truly the last good WWE game. Crazy character creation, create a finisher, custom entrances and you can upload music for them. It was the best.

I just recently got a new copy and am looking for anything to help me with the grind of the shop its insane
There isn't an easy way. It was horribly designed in that way. Getting 100% in all storylines won't even give you enough money for the hos. Eliminating all 100 enemies in survival gives you a $1,000,000 bonus. It's not easy and I've never done it but even just beating survival helps. I've gotten well over like $100,000 from beating it. Doing it a few times, while tedious, is really the only "quick" way of unlocking the shop.

that abdominal stretch kick out submit thing is weird. to make a cpu destroy multiple other cpu in a gauntlet, make all of his moves target one area and put as many submissions to that body part as possible.... the cpu will go on a tear
God I want to play this game so bad right now.

Start wwf champion mode but as the champion but pick cactus jack as the wwf champion, when he gets to the cutscene where mankind transforms into cactus the game glitches out majorly
Yeah that's one of the most notorious. At some point I'll probably do a glitch video on No Mercy since there are so many. But part 2 will include some notable favorites and hopefully some that are majorly hidden.

A lot of these aren't "secrets". I knew some of these back in the day.
Yeah I wanted to put a variety in. Some were pretty commonly found if you played enough, but it's such an old game I figured I would put some in to essentially jog old memories or bring it back to the fore front for nostalgic players.
so you knew some secrets back in the day. i mean... secrets is subjective. it was kinda an unlocked secret to me when i played like wm2000 and put my friend on my shoulders in a 3way match and the cpu decimated him with a doomsday device... he got so irked, cause the cpu would just cancel this in the wcw games.
What about big weapons secret?
There will be more parts! These are essentially secrets that could be found playing with one controller with nothing unlocked. There will be about at least two more parts though. Thank you for watching!
