- In our latest video, Bunny Punia conducts a fuel economy run on the petrol manual version of the XL6 MPV. This Nexa offering shares its engine with the Ertiga which means the same 1.5 litre petrol unit. The certified ARAI efficiency stands at 19 kmpl but we decided to see if could be beaten or not.
Do note the car was driven in mixed driving conditions including city traffic, jams, open roads etc.

Nothing on negative side, but Who takes 4 hour 30min. to cover 150 km, I mean aise chalane lage toh kharab se kharab bhi mileage nikal dege, At least A suggestion, next time do something realistic considering real scenarios.
When you drive it bellow 60kmph you get that figure and in real world senaro 90kmphplus per hour gives only 12-13 kmpl
S its true if u go above 80 it gives only 12

example: 200 km covered distance and again do full tank to see the differnce the (X) liters of fuel divide by 200/X.
If 1.5 ltr petrol engine is gives this much of economy then its really good engineering from suzuki. That also in heavy city traffic condition. Hyundai i20 1.2 ltr engine need to gives this kind of mileage

Btw if I could upload a pic I've managed to ek out 17.3kmpl on the highway driving my Ecosport Dragon Petrol at 90kmph for 85 km

Cruise control is good feature helps in hassle free in highway and improve mileage
The main thing in fuel economy is driving styles, if you handle it properly you can get good response from engine, if you are fast in things then engine may drink moreeee
Am using xl6 since almost 2years in city it gives 11-12 kmpl and in city 14-15kmpl.

Same....but on High way...it gives 16
The magic is RPM meter. Check his RPM, stable at 1800. "Max Gear + RPM at 1800" - You can achieve too.
I have a Glanza mild hybrid. On the way from Bangalore to munnar I got an average of 24.9😀😀

Not so practicle ......below 2000 rpm ..fully load karo phir 80 to 90 or above 2000 rpm chalao thab tho thoda practicle milage hota hai...
I will believe in this mileage test and the figures are actual because a lot of it depends on the driving style. I have achieved 29kmpl in my honda city iDTEC and 24kmpl in my maruti Ignis 2021 model just by maintaining proper acceleration and speed. ( Video uploaded in my channel).

Meri noida expressway pe 25 dedeti hai easily at 70kmph but jaha gadi tez chalti hai vha around 10 milti hai

@@sijojohnson obviously when you Cruise 70 to 90 at highway you are on top gear hence rpm under in 2000 likely 1800 or 1850

I have xl6 it shows 170 km range and fuel is approx half tank but I travel 60 km and it shows low fuel and fuel meter is low

Hi, based on the Ertiga, the XL6 has 3-star safety rating from NCAP. In fact, as per Maruti, xl6 is even a bit better than Ertiga in safety. As for mileage, expect 14 kmpl in city and up to 20 kmpl on highway

@@saraswatikumari6538 yes urs is Manual and mine is automatic , manual should be above 16 . Try to keep O/D off and tyre pressure 37, speed between 80-90 and also u reset the mileage meter. When I did these I crossed 13. U can also try as manual mileage should be more than automatic .

My car is new one. But it gives 12.5km average. Why?
Can you pls What is the top speed in this run.....full open road at 90to95kmph Cruise I got no more than 17kmpl...top Rpm in my drive was 2500...on a tank full of 40lit....the display shows a range of 450kms for me....and the best I went on a tank full is 550kms... You have put 35 lit....and the mid shows a display of 712.

It always showed 10-12 for me while in city..
But i reset it before a trip ...and while in cruise ...it went to 21 kmpl...and since then I ensured to drive in economy...
Now it is somewhere between 18-20 for me...
Reset...go on a highway in economy..and you will see the result for sure..
Please do the same thing in tata nexon petrol with 90 kmph

We buyed XL6 5 months ago but it’s not at all giving mileage, first I thought it’s because of my driving style as i am beginner driver …. Highest mileage i got was 16.5 kmpl on highway at 80kmph
But in city it gives only 7.8/ 6.5 and it shows 10.0 kmpl in meter but it actually gives 6.5,7.0, sometimes it gives 3.5 also 😂 i am annoyed ….. pleasee guys give me some suggestions how to get maximum possible mileage of XL6 . My car didn’t completed oil change service also …
I suggest you follow the gear numbers (1,2,3,4,5) which are displaying on the screen while you are driving and select the gear as displayed. The round dot will indicate your selection of gear is OK, otherwise a triangle will be displayed asking to shift to a higher or a lower gear depending upon your speed and engine rpm.You will clock more mileage definitely, if you drive like this. Try it out !!

Reset once ...go on a highway for 30-40 kms...then the reading resets again..
It happened for me as well. It was always 10kmpl in city...but once I drove to another city and reset the mileage...during the cruise it increased to 21kmpl..
It is about conditions you are driving in...in city you can't expect 21 daily
My xl6 milage is just 11 only
In real life 12-13km per ltr only
without running a single KM it dropped from 726 to 715km haha

I have that same car with odo 4.5k and i am getting 14 to 15kmpl of average fuel economy. Obviously this car in video has odo of 16k so may be that is the reason of more fuel economy.
I have XL6 Petrol manual for about 1.2 yrs now..Until 8K on Odo it gave me only 11 to 12kmpl. Now its giving me 14Kmpl..Its a surprise that these guys got 20kmpl. So dont worry until your 3rd Free service.

Bunny (who did the video) bought the XL6 in July 2021 and ever since he has been getting the mileage that you see in the video.
Its all down to the driving habit and traffic conditions and understanding of the mild hybrid set-up. Are you based in Delhi? If yes, we can show you the same in Bunny's XL6
@@91Wheels Yes, it depends upon how you drive and the selection of gears for a particular speed while in traffic. I am clocking 16.5-17.5 in Delhi traffic with AC. At times I got 17.8 also.
