- The government of Tanzania has estimated that it will cost $2.7 billion(KSh378billion) to construct the second longest bridge in the world after China’s Hong Kong link, spanning 50 kilometers, connecting the mainland to the Zanzibar Islands.
The project will add to the country's mega projects that include the 2200km SGR line connecting Tanzania to DRC, the oil pipeline from Uganda to Dar Salaam, the Dodoma International Airport and many more.
This is a crazy idea. We have so many issues to build and not that bridge. No economic benefits to that project.
This woman president makes strides never seen before. She is truly becoming an imbokodo of the Tanzanian women.
by the way mothers day is celebrated more in TZ, at least this year.
@@radarscreen391you have no idea what is behind it the curtain
Another dept trap. Tanzania would be better served by developing its manufacturing capabilities and modernizing its agriculture. Expanding its SGR rail network beyond present plans and to be built in a much shorter time frame, then presently. Set up multiple industrial parks in all of its cities. Also, to have the mind frame that economic development, including manufacturing in all the East African Federation countries, would benefit Tanzania.
Tanzania was doomed the moment its REAL president was murdered.
💕🇹🇿💪💪
It will be the political interest bridge not economically
,hii daraja italeta faida gani kwa watanganyika ambao watalipa deni lake kwa miaka dahari sioni biashara itakayofanyika mpaka deni lilipwe masikini watanganyika
Food cost will be lower un zanzibar and other stuff by building ridge
Bilions on savings in 10 year period😊
This not even planned, it is just still a talk rather than a project in the works.
Cool down my neighbor, the program is underway to connect Zanzibar and Dar esalaam by road,it's just a matter of time,Kenyans will be surprised!
What is the problem of who is building it
China building
I'm against the project because of low impact we are supposed to invest in agriculture technology inorder to increase the sector tha brings many Tanzanians.
Should such a project take place, then a road connection is NOT WORTH IT! Government should persue a rail connection instead! Also, if feasible, a submerged tunnel should be the optimal way to go for such a project
Tanzania was doomed the moment its REAL president was murdered.
It’s just a dream for the colonizer Tanganyika to have more grip on its colony Zanzibar.
heheh like China did with Hong Kong
What a foolish statement...The president is literally from Zanzibar how is that a colonization
You must be foolish,,Samia comes from zanzibar and zanzibar they do have a President,,it's a Territory..You anus Kenyans you know nothing about Tanzania..stop Vomiting rubbish here
Kelele kobe wewe. Kama hutaki kua mtanzania nenda Omani
Grow up unaacha kuwaza mambo ya msingi unaota unatawaliwa
Chinese building it
As contractors Yes, but paid for by Tanzanians Tax and no loans.
So what ?
Objecting development actions is tantamount to poor man's thinking. We must think big for a better future of our society.
And will be built by Chiina, like every other infrastructures in Afreeiika. But you just can't admit that, can you?
So you want your americans to build it
Tanzania was doomed the moment its REAL president was murdered.
After WWII that amount of infrastructure that was built by American money is unbelievable, and the amount of infrastructure that was built by Japan from the 70s to the 80s. So what?
