I guess I was looking for, "what to know when crossing the bar." What are the best tides? What part of the flood? What predictions are favorable on the tides and current charts? What's the maximum size swell you are comfortable with? What happens when you have an ebb and a westerly or south wind? Are easterly winds favorable? I know there's a lot of variables but a little basic local knowledge would have been helpful from a veteran guide.
Good old Oregon... grew up in that state .. I miss how it used to be. The whole state is ruined. The fishing season is insane, the hunting season, too... too many people, unfortunately. 😢😢😢 its sad.... too many people moved into Oregon. The political climate there sucks. The state got too expensive, and too many librals... I had to move out of my home state. I just couldn't stomach what Oregon turned into. One of the most beautiful places in the world turned into a dumster fire.

Stop your hacking them salmon up half the meat is still on the fish carcass. turned a 11/2 # fillet into a 1#. Sad that all the coho are 4 to 8 #
