Great video. This resonates more with me than PARA, wherein only the “projects” portion really was useful. Keeping all my interests under Areas still left me a mess in terms of moving from info towards actions and output. I love the concept of a greenhouse incubating the information consumed into ideas. Also, im surprised you dont use Obsidian’s canvas or excalidraw for mindmapping. Ive switched over from Mindnode and its been great. After getting over the initial hurdle of UI, being able to link the mindmap to actual notes has been invaluable
Thanks for the kind words 😊 I use MindNode when taking book notes on my phone, so doing it directly in Obsidian is just too much capture friction I’m afraid. But there are certainly some great tools for mind mapping directly in Obsidian.
Excellent Mike. All quality no fluff that makes some essential points to avoid the traps that could lead to discouragement. This clarity will save a lot of time that will support making progress on the PKM journey. Bravo!
funny because someone on reddit commented on my favorite planner/journal app talking about pkms and i looked it up to find this video.. I found my perfect PKM app. its called Journal it 🥰
