The 34 looks great!! I've always liked the Monogram Early Iron series where they 'updated' their kits from the mid-60s to the mid-70s with the slotted mags and wide tires. I also like this style of hot rod that they were building at this time, called 'restro-rod.' Basically stock bodies with all of the fenders, bumpers, and other trim (cowl lights, etc) that the hot rodders had been leaving off up to that point. The engine, mag wheels, wide tires and paint colors were the only things that gave them away as hot rods.
The chassis on your Falcon is a "promo" version. Ford offered simplified plastic models through their dealerships that advertised the cars features. These models were later available in kit form from companies like AMT and Jo-Han. Love the color on the '34!! Perfect ride height, looks like it was built to street race here back in the day!✌🇨🇦
Your 34 Ford looks fantastic, nice clean build ..... very well done ! You've got alot of work done on your Falcon so far. I'll be looking forward to seeing it finished. 🍻
Thank you very much. And yes, the Falcon is moving along, allbeit slowly. But I`m working on a couple of other models for build offs so I have to finish those before deadline. I actually also finished designing the decals for the Falcon (Name and logo) 😀
That Falcon chassis with all the printing is a "promo". I just finished the 1964 Ford Galaxie from AMT's "Cal Drag Combo" kit, it's chassis had the same. It was an advertising idea for people buying new cars back then.
Beautiful work! I remember seeing that kit in the stores when I was a kid. I’ve always built race cars, and anything I could make a race car. So, I passed on the 34, but thought it would be a nice kit. Great job! 👍
Thanks. For.. the up-date. Awesome. Build. Love.. the 70's- looking. Like, like- those. 34. Ford's. Good. Choice.. on, the color. Thanks.. for, sharing. Have, a goo- day.
I eel your pain with the Falcon kit. I have an old AMT 64 corvette kit that I restored. A lot of work, but worth it in the end! Lovely work on the 34 Ford, Kim.🤙😎
Love those Falcons. I wish Round2 would retool the 66-70 Falcons. I totally agree about the 70s hot rods and street machines. I'm not a big fan of lowering everything to drag the floor. And yes, the 70s paint jobs were awesome. Great build Kim. 👍
Kim, I am a new subscriber to your channel. Great looking build. I really like the green color. The Falcon looks like it was a great candidate for a restoration. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Steven 😀👍🏻
Here is something to consider. The real 66 falcon and 66 Fairlane were basically the same, only with a shorter wheelbase. Check out the AMT Fairlane for parts....
Looks really good sir. Tamiya spray cans are awesome. This kit has been, for me, the most difficult to find of the Early Iron series. It's only been issued as this version to my knowledge. There is no other Monogram '34 Ford coupe that I'm aware of, that you have 2 is pretty cool.
I have 2 of the ZZTop '33's, I do not believe they are the same kit. I have the Early Iron '34 Roadster and it's nothing like the ZZ car. I'm assuming the Roadster that I have is the same as the coupe but without the hardtop. There is a Tom Taylor '33 Roadster which I have and is the ZZ tooling but again no hardtop.
Falcon sounds like its gonna be sweet.
I love that '34! gorgeous! That color green is incredible
Thank you very much. Yes its a great color. Tamiya have several really nice colors 😃

I totally agree with you. And the Early Iron is a fantastic Serie of kits. The two 34’s and the two 36’s are my favorites, but they are all cool 😃
She is a Beaut Kim!!
Thank you very much Neil 😃

That hood you showed is from the 53 Studebaker Bonneville kit with double blower
No it is from the 66 Falcon 😃
@@kimskustomgarage9578 your right that kit had the high straight axle

As far as I know, this one was altered into the ZZ Top `33 coupe by Monogram. I dont know if its true, but that is what I have heard....
I have 2 of the ZZTop '33's, I do not believe they are the same kit. I have the Early Iron '34 Roadster and it's nothing like the ZZ car. The writing on the floor pan is strange. I haven't seen that 34 box in a LONG time. Nice kit. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Michael. I was told that the writing on the floorpan is because its the same floorpan as for the promo model.
Nice build. I just heard today that the Falcon drag car is getting Rereleased. I think by Round2.
Thanks. That sounds good 🙂
That frame is from one of the dealer promotions
Ah okay 😃
WOW those are some sweet kits I think the 65 gasser would look cool w/Miller high life decals 😁🤩scooter😎ps love the color on the coupe 👍🤟
Thank you 😃
The Falcon will get home made decals 🙂
