    Looks like a great product. But the pricing is ridiculous, only for millionaires

    Move along, nothing to see here. It's $10000 CAD before taxes for the base model.

    What an insane price. I’m assuming this company is targeting the ultra wealthy billionaires and millionaires. Not something a normal person would buy.

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Quality, materials, and manufacturing location have their price. I spoke to the founder, the goal was never to make the product expensive, it's just the fact that they also don't want to compromise on certain aspects of the manufacturing. Additionally, when looking at comparable products (wooden, manual treadmills) the prices are similar.

    5000 euro without even an adjustable desk?!
    premium indeed

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      By now, they do offer a height adjustable desk and it costs about 5200€.
      It is premium, but worth it for quality, health, and creativeness.
      I have a video about the free standing eight height adjustable desk: th-cam.com/video/EBp6O5gWtvw/w-d-xo.html

      @@flintstone5404 Absolutely, this is understandable. I hope you find a good alternative for yourself. Maybe in the less expensive under desk treadmills which can get for around 400$ and with a desk that's gonna be something around 800$ if you find some good deals.

      @David Stadium Heights I'm curious to hear about how it performs over the next few months. Did it come with lube for the belt and how is the sound? Is it quiet enough.

    Nice review. To your opinion, what is the optimal height to work with the build-in desk? Thanks!

    • @ChrisSpiegl
      @ChrisSpiegl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The optimal hight with the built in desk depends on your body height. The Walkolution Team has a guide on their website based on body height which I would use to get a sense of the direction.
      One note though: I personally would recommend getting the Ära Desk if you can afford it and if it fits your use-case (meaning that it is more of a stationary system). It's so much better to be able to adjust the hight individually - especially when you have more than one person using the desk over a period of time. It's also good to switch things up every now and then with the option to sit at the desk as well (with certain chairs / sitting balls).
      Hope that helps and when you decide to purchase a Walkolution, please use my referral link & coupon code. It helps me and gives you a discount as well 👍.

      @@ChrisSpiegl thanks! Actually I should have said : what is the optimal body height? E.g., what is yours?

      @ChrisSpiegl  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@AArrakis/videos For the built in desk you can choose which hight you would like it to be when purchasing a desk. I am something like 180-182cm in hight.

      @ChrisSpiegl  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not sure which setup you built. But the Ära free standing desk and the MTD800R is 5300€ not 8k.
      Sure still not a “cheap” but you do get a full wood treadmill with no maintenance needs and a wonderful walking experience.

    the curvature is not natural! stop saying this makes it natural. Streets are mostly flat, all floors in the world are mostly flat. Flat is natural.

    • @superovidio
      @superovidio 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think you are confusing nature with culture. Flat is almost always artificial and man made. As a species, we are evolved to walk and move on surfaces much more varied than flat concrete surfaces.
