How old are you? I'm 60. Grew up in New York. 79th street. Ha! I love Jungle. Yeah, there stuff is retro and a bit derivitive, but they really have a thing. Their songs are almost all mood pieces. And the retro stuff has a "twist" as you say. Unlike Bruno's "Silk Sonic", which is just openly thieving from classic 70's and 80's soul. I actually love Silk Sonic too, but the Jungle guys (two 30ish male white old brits of course) pays homage but also nods at new stuff. All their videos are these dancers. This one even has some hints of West Side Story, so they nod to the past in the video too. I'm all for it. I'll take this stuff over Drake or Swiftie anyday.
I loved the retro feel of 74 and felt the west side story vibe, I also love the silk sonic from Bruno. I always looked at it more as an homage to the days past cause I love the retro groove. I always love the new stuff that plays to the retro sound as an honor to them.

Jungle is an Amazing group... The concert in Montreal was AMAZING.. It is a very hot band and the concerts in Europe are all sold out. You cannot sit and listen to this song... It is dancing..dancing..dancing. I am not sure, but you don't seem like a man who dances... My father who is 86 loves Jungle.
Looks can be deceiving, I have been known to cut quite the rug. If you look closely you can see in my younger days I was the dance double for Travolta in Saturday Night Fever. 😂😂👍
