I think if you didnt have to roll for their damage nagation it would be fine. Like, necrons have an abillity that negates 3 up damage by one and you dont have to roll. The way it is now is almost useless
@@CanYouRollaCrit just played two games with them today. The lack of mobility is rough. dont know if only improving feel no pain would work. also, hulks can climb letters?
@@Gecko18045 They are going to be supported for the entirety of this edition so that seems unlikely. If they were trying to phase out the teams that will only be "Classified" for this year then they wouldn't have buffed the likes of Legionaries the way they have.
Sometimes it seems like that the team changes are in relation to the previous edition in a sense of how the game and killzones played in 2.0 vs 3.0. Having less cover in Gallowdark and overall less objectives in the game makes the 5" really hurt on the meaty parts of Gellerpox. More to your point that giving vermin 8" like they were canine operatives of other teams would help the team with expendable pests until the big boys get there, right now you'll be late to the party, most of the times. With that in mind Barrelwarp could've had something extra when on a point, reducing melee hit along the ranged hit so at least one point is easier to hold on to. Volkus having so much Heavy terrain does help so its something. I do think that this is a good lession for the community. The team John takes to the next tournament is the one thats getting nerfed, so if you could be so kind as to play Inquisitorial Agents on the next one that would be swell 😁 Thanks for the video and enjoy your well earned rest 😃
They new damage negation nerf is massive. Assuming a 20 wound hulk is being hit by only 3 wound attacks (which is best case scenario for wound negation in order to maximise the number of rolls you get) you would on average only negate ~2.3 wounds before the final 3 would attack would kill you. The old feel no pain was toxic and far too swingy, but this new one might as well not be there. Also I don't think this was mentioned in the video, but the "small" rule on the Glitching is likely missing the requirement of being in conceal, and the Glitching ranged attack got it's normal damaged buffed by 1. Mutoid Vermin just seem useless now for the most part. Against lower model count teams it's just giving your opponent more chances to counteract. Plus having extra models makes you more vulnerable to splash\torrent. Being unable to at least tie up operatives sucks. Even against most heavy weapon operatives now it makes no difference because they can either reposition or dash away (depending on the version of heavy they have) and shoot.
@@CanYouRollaCrit The rules changes to mutoids are bizarre especially when you factor in the rules for the likes of CAT and Gheistkull in Navy Breachers. Those models can't fight or retaliate, in fact they can't even activate if they are in control range of an enemy, and yet enemy models can't walk right through them as if they don't exist and can't freely move out of or into their control range. Then we have mutoids which CAN fight, and enemies can effectively act like they don't exists for the purposes of movement. It makes no sense
@@CanYouRollaCrit well yeah, but they lost their former glory, I admit they came in strong, thus, they got nerfed every single balance dataslate, but now I feel like they just too far 😞
Seems to be a running theme of "don't take them against elites" for a few teams so far. It's really looking like all the astartes elites (bar Phobos) are broken this edition and will need serious nerfs fast.

Good to see this team brought down to a reasonable place. Even after the nerfs they were still an obnoxious team. Wont have to dread the nonsense of these matchups anymore!
Man, good job cranking out these videos.
Thanks (:

At the end of all the team reviews i think you should do a good old tier list of where you think the teams fall in the new meta!
Maybe 🥲
This should be interesting. They butchered my poor nurgley bois.
I guess thats just a ploy to reduce player count and phase them out of kill team.... so annoying. Rules should be better optimizrd
I have no clue why gw hates granpa's boys so much :(

Yeah they're a lot worse now but still okay
Thanks for the guides!
Thanks for watching (:
Damn, they got hit hard. At least Ive got some other teams to play, I think they'll be relegated to the display board now.
Same ):
The end of an era
It's all ogre now

Yeah but sadly not as powerful as before
i know its not much but your insane marathon of content creation got you a subscriber here hehehe
Aha thanks (:
Could you possibly do a video with all the one box kill teams for new players?
I've technically done that for last edition but can update it (:
@@CanYouRollaCrit Is it about the same for this new edition?

Great vid, but think you are sleeping on Screaming Rustspikes, they are great
Ah negating shooting is just way better
Do the new kill team faction boxes contain a fully playable team or do you have to buy multiple sets to field a proper team?
All teams, sans breachers, are playble from a single box (:

Cursemites don't have GA2 😮 must be a mistake, otherwise you take 4 of those and waste activations 😂
That is likely an error lol
Finally. ❤
Yup!
