You say you are not a "real" jeweller? Yes, you are. You just use different materials other than gold, silver and precious stones. The crowns you make are gorgeous. You really have a wonderful talent.
At the four minute mark if anyone wondered By the way, there are a lot of wonderful books on wire wrapping. Instead of ordering them… They can be quite expensive… Go to your local Barnes & Noble… They have a jewelry making section… And they should have at least two or three books on wire wrapping. Some will be for costume jewelry and some will be for real gold, silver or gold filled wire. You can look at them before you buy. also costume jewelry and wire wrapping magazines. Barnes and noble has a shit ton of those
I found this video instructive and entertaining. I vote for the lengthy detailed tutorial please. Don't know a thing about crown or tiara construction. The historic background of Lady Di and Queen Elizabeth crowns were fantastic. Thank you for all the huge work of making the crowns, and filming and editing these videos. You are appreciated.
Who can resist twinkle lights , glitter and baubles don’t forget tinsel…..I love tinsel! And glitter and and and ….sparkles!!!!!! Love your crown construction videos, you have a real talent! You did a great job of your Christmas decorations ,by the way.
You would have a heart attack at the Atlanta Market Bead shops. They are in the Atlanta market, but there are also many big shops around the city of Atlanta that are open to the public. You can find bead/findings shops and supply stores in most medium size cities. They are usually owned by an Asian or Indian families, who immigrated here and they travel back-and-forth sourcing, buying, and selling costume jewelry components. Many of these people are longtime friends of mine, and people who I buy from regularly. They are some of the hardest working and best people I’ve known. Pretty much anything on Aliexpress can also be found in shops like that. The ones in the Atlanta Market are the best because they are meant for wholesale buyers. They are anywhere from half the price as what you see on Aliexpress. Sometimes even 75% discounted from what you see on Aliexpress. Of course places like that expect you to buy in bulk. A few thousand dollars at a time. But if you can find wholesale shops like that… They will allow you to come in and buy even just a few dollars at a time Because they hope that one day you will become a big wholesale buyer, And they want your business. But the reason shops like that are so important to makers like yourself… It’s so that you can walk around and get ideas. There are so many weird things on Aliexpress that you’ll never see because they aren’t advertising or you don’t know what to search for. Crazy stuff, beautiful stuff, stuff you can’t imagine But if you’re inside of those bead shops… You’ll see stuff that you could never dreamed exists. And it will give you ideas.. Also… Wholesale supply shops like that… They know the makers of these pieces. So if you want something custom… They can have it done very quickly and cheap
New USA subscriber here. I think you should alternate between recreating known tiaras and those of your own design. It is obvious you really have an eye for design and placement. For a recreated tiara, consider the missing Strawberry Leaf, the diamond and ruby version rather than the later all diamond rebuild. Since it's missing you might also have fun tweaking it to be your own unique version/design.
Your work is so inspiring and stunning. I am hoping to try and make one of my own. Thank you for the video and please continue to make more if you ever have the time! Or even a video with any tips/tricks you'd recommend.
Always so impressed with your content. I've never seen someone do so much with so little. And I mean that as a compliment. As someone who's worked in the industry and had several jewelry businesses and endeavors over the last 20 years. Design, manufacturing, and wholesale of both gold/diamond and less expensive costume style jewelry.....at different times. So I've scene and run / owned many different operations spanning the spectrum of fanciness and price. And I'm always super impressed with your videos and techniques... Especially as someone isolated, and only doing this for fun. I hope it will inspire and motivate a lot of people to learn and try new things in their own DIY adventures. And who knows... It might lead folks into their own businesses or as stepping-stones to other things. Like it did for me
You are so tallented! I just found your channel and you are very entertaining. I would love to see you make a replica of the Russian Vladimir Tiara that Queen Elizabeth is so fond if wearing. I collect tiaras but never imagined making them myself. You have taught me a lot. Keep up the great work and videos!
I like lengthy and detailed, Austin. Love your videos - I can see how much work goes into just filming, much less all of the editing. Great Job!!!!!!! XXXXX
I really love the crowns you make and it is a pleasure to watch you working on the crowns I would love to make small crowns for the 1/3 bjd dolls but at 70 I can’t figure out how to design things but it is always fun to watch you make such lovely crowns.
Re watching your videos and I came to this. I also like Xmas trees, lights and decorations, they're pretty, cute, colorful and fun but I'm also not christian. But hey, we can decorate our home or room with it even if it's not Xmas. 😁👍
Im so glad i found your videos im so inspired and obsessed your work is absolutely stunning (also if you want to celebrate Christmas do it and go all out. Half the people who celebrate it arent Christian its just for seeing family and friends and having fun)
Your craftsmanship is something I wish to accomplish, you must have spent some sleepless nights making it to this point, if you don't mind my asking, how long did it take you to get to this point? And thanks for sharing I'm doing art now as my hobby but I want it to be a career. 😁✌️
Thank you for your kind words! I currently make arts as a hobby and for building up my TH-cam career, I do spend lots of sleepless nights for video editing/planning and for other fields but not for arts and crafts haha, my experience is acquired from years of watching and taking inspiration from other DIY channels and TV shows, and I've been making crafts for fun growing up since I was 5! So yeah starting from a young age definitely helped with where I am today (and being passionate takes you a long way too!), but I still think I have a lot of room for improvement and things to learn (cuz I'm not a professional). Best wishes to you.
The crown is gorgeous and I have good news: You don't have to be Christian to celebrate Christmas! I know Christians who actually won't celebrate it because they found out it was originally a pagan celebration of the winter solstice and Christians just adapted it. It can totally be a purely secular winter celebration of family. You can do Santa, Christmas Trees, Misletoe, Christmas carols, etc. The whole shebang!
How about a bauble crown? Lots of tiny baubles that move around and glitter in the light. Have a Christmas tree 🎄 as the central part perhaps? Or just baubles or one of each 😘
This is amazing! Your crowns are so beautiful and I love your sense of humor!! I've been watching videos from other creators (older white women) and they're soooo slow. Thank you for your chaotic energy and creativity, the bonus photo shoot is 10/10! I hope you have a great Christmas this year!
I swear I just commented on another video saying how glamorous you are, then I come to this one and you’re burping at us! 😂😂 that had me laughing so much! Haha
Omg, just found your channel after searching how to make crowns. ( cause I want to make two prom crowns for my girlfriend and myself, it is hard to be in matching clothes cause we both are in the closet rn and our country is still extremely homophobic. So crowns yeah ) and I am in love with all the things you do! So I am hoping for the best and getting inspiration from your videos. Wish me good luck hehe☆ Ps. You are really amazing, love your designs. Maybe consider doing crowns of your own design, you have such a brilliant sense of style •°♡
From being in the jewellery industry for 7 generations…. Your talent lies in design… clearly I can see immediately that the computer and illustration process seems to be your definite forte…. Keep it up… my advice would be to invest in soldering equipment. This would solve the wire wrap issues.. cleaning up the work and halfing production time
We all deserve a second chance ,I.m glad Sarah ,Duchess of York will have a role to play ,at the Coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla ,she will be so excited to be included .
You should sell all your tiaras and crowns world wide in chain stores people would buy them for all occasions including Christmas and New Year celebrations and holidays and Halloween parties you should do this young man because you are a original artist of making tiaras women and little girls love this we don’t want to make it we want to go to a store to buy them they are so cute you should get Disney to purchase your tiaras they could sell them all over the world in their amazing amusement parks stores kids and adults would love them 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂❤

I love that the knockoff E-6000 is B-7000 XD
Please don't use the knockoff lol, it was a mistake, I'm making a video on E6000 glue tips and why the knockoffs are bad.
Ooh! That will be super helpful! I don't plan on using the knock off, I just found it funny they didn't even try to have a new name 🤣
