My name is Michael. Please pray for my recovery from my ptsd flashbacks when I get stressed. This is my biggest hurdle in life. Thank you.

Love this one. On the topic of teams...I began teaching/ mentoring /precepting my baby nurses with a few basic mantras and cores and one Is we do not ever leave our team or throw them under the bus. We prioritize the team above all even more than patients. I know that sounds crazy. But when your team is right and tight and loyal the patient care reflects it and is the best it can be. Safety is the next one. I say it every time - safety is #1 priority. Everything else can be late entry or re-prioritized but safety cannot. If my peer is getting threatened or assaulted then I'm going to be there with them. And vice versa. I'm for them ,they're for me. I don't even have to turn around I know they are there. I don't know how it works in regular jobs but military, medicine (Nursing) ems/fire, Leo/corrections etc we have to be that way. I'm far from a warrior or veteran but I can relate to the addiction to the chaos, adrenaline, high risk, and performing well. I recently stepped into a comfortable case management job from several years, nights on an emergency psych unit and i literally took weeks and months to decompress, adjust to some normalcy and missing that chaos. I pick up per diem to stay current and get my fix but so much of this is relatable. Also I've noticed mild ptsd stuff. Hypervigilance and some nightmares. Finally giving the brain a chance to rest. Working on it. Actively. I love the honesty and transparency with Ed and Andrea. I'm so proud to have followed and supported eddie since the very first blurb I saw in the navy times when stuff started taking off with his persecution. Thanks for everything 😊
