    It’s good to see someone finally came out with UCA’s for the ZR2. I’m definitely getting some ASAP!

    Peak suspension is the front runner with the zr2 community. Nice video

    Ordered a peak Suspension for my zr2. Spoke with Zane. Great guy and ensured I had what I needed. Can't wait to get it installed once everything arrives.

    I've already done the coilover conversion. Its great👍. Big note, pay attention to which side each shock is on. They are clocked slightly and if you mix up sides the shock can rub your CV boot. Nice adjustability and linear spring rate. Truck definitely feels better than stock.
    Nick! Ordered Deaver mini packs at the same time and its been months (almost 4). I know they are in Cali, and Covid is kicking, but I'm not getting emails back from you guys either...just want to know Peak is on top of it.

    I'm a zr2 Owner myself My truck is still stock because I was Worried if I lift the truck it's going to lose its Ride quality on the Road Which I don't wanna sacrifice This is great information :)

    I have a 2018 gas zr2 with the cbi half bumper and winch. Thanks for the install video by the way! My question is will the peak suspension trial kit 2 with it set to 2 inches will it allow me to clear 33s tires on stock wheels without trimming? And would I need anything additional besides that kit once adding the wheels or is all factory still good for components? I plan on using my 40% discount with Toyo for their AT3’s . BIG THANKS for all the help in the zr2 community your jeep is sick! Look forward to your answer.

    Great video. You need to make an install video for the upper control arms.

    Great video! Definitely sold me on the adjustable coil over kit for my bison. Would you be able to fit a 34” tire with stock bison wheels with the coil over kit?

    Hi Can I buy a stock Colorado and just install the add on or is the ZR2 the base to start with? Thanks in advance. I plan to use the truck for overlanding.

      Great question. I would get the Z-71 and build off of that platform. If all you’re doing is over landing you’ll be doing just fine.

    Can you run this setup with your OEM wheel/tire setup , Or do you need to upgrade ?

    • @TrailAdventuresTV
      @TrailAdventuresTV  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A lot of people are still running the OEM wheel and tire combo. Some people have even increase the tire size with good success.

    I did the eibach leveling springs as a start, so far so good. But it definitely doesn’t have the stock feel anymore. Would it benefit me to get the coil over conversion and the uca joints?

    • @TrailAdventuresTV
      @TrailAdventuresTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely. Just make sure that your spring and dampening rates are balanced. This will help with improved performance on road. My rig was over sprung and under dampened. And this made for poor ride conditions.

    • @brad696
      @brad696 ปีที่แล้ว

      How is balancing spring and dampening rate achieved with the DSSVs? I’m in the same scenario. Stock ZR2; I’ve installed a leveling kit, your eibach 550lb springs and AAL. I want the coil over conversion and UCAs and possibly the 1” rear blocks.

    • @TrailAdventuresTV
      @TrailAdventuresTV  ปีที่แล้ว

      You’re always trying to get back to that stocks dampening. When adding skid plates, winch, and steel bumper, do you want to increase your spring rate to compensate for that extra weight. It will never be perfect. But you can get it pretty close.

    Nice video. I’m running everything but the UCA’s, they are on order and looking forward to running them too.

    Do you recommend removing the sway bars front end? with Peak Coil over and upper control arm add?

    • @mattandrickadventures8416
      @mattandrickadventures8416 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the very first thing I did with my zr2 is remove the front sway bar; it's just added weight in my opinion and messes up the ride quality on the trails.

    Can you go over leaf springs? I have squeaks from leaf springs and idk if I should go add a leaf or go Deaver or atlas.

    • @TrailAdventuresTV
      @TrailAdventuresTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello Nico. Thank you for being a part of this community and thank you for your question. Many leafs spring packs will squeak overtime. Especially if you’re going through water crossings or live somewhere where there is snow, salt and rain.
      Spraying the packs down intermittently with a rust inhibitor or WD-40 will certainly quiet them down. Hope this information helps. But the add a leaf will not change much. It will only increase the height and load carrying characteristics of the spring pack.

      nico hernandez I have had no issues whatsoever. Have had their leaf springs on all my trucks. Absolutely recommend Deaver to anyone looking to upgrade.

    What spring rate for a stock Bison with a winch?

    • @TrailAdventuresTV
      @TrailAdventuresTV  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Is it a gas or diesel variant? How much does the winch weigh? Are you going to use the stock Bison 🦬 bumper? Will there be any additional add-ons such as roof rack or a shell. All of those need to be considered when you’re talking about spring rates. Additionally dampening also needs to be considered. So many people have stepped up to diesel springs on a gas variant only to find themselves to be over sprung and under dampened. Many of those individuals have gone through CV boots left and right as well. If you can, keep it stock!
