  • Welcome to this compilation video from the heart of the Los Angeles Metro System, at the 7th Street Metro Center! This station has the most lines transferring with each other in the entire network, consisting of transfers to the A, B, D, and E lines. The station itself is actually pretty small, with 4 platforms and 4 tracks, with each pair of lines sharing tracks. The A and E lines are on the upper level, acting as light rail, and the B and D lines are on the lower level, as the subway. From this point, you can get to so many places such as Hollywood, Koreatown, Santa Monica, and Long Beach, making it a great place to start a one-seat journey. I hope you enjoy this video, showcasing every line on the system in this station. Related videos will also be located down below, which I highly recommend! This station has always felt much more “New York” like than the other subway stops

Because it has a more complex interchange system compared to the other stations? Yeah definitely

@@nathanielcoleman5694 More I meant the low ceilings of the A & E, and overall the A/E tracks feel different from the cavernous subway stops of the B/D & Regional Connector

@@skip-4259Aren’t the Regional Connector tunnel and stations the same height as the 7th Street tunnel and 7th Street station? I could be wrong

Did they change the lighting in the station? Looks brighter than i remember. If i recall correctly Metro did this to reduce the amount of loitering

Yesss, I noticed it too, and at Soto station. There was a period of time where Historic Broadway and Grand Ave Arts/Bunker Hill was DARK cuz the lights burned out, those were replaced too.

@AYEItzErik06 yes the regional connector In general is much brighter. If you look down the tunnel from 7th Street you can see how much light compared to the other direction. I've also noticed more security recently, finally

@@MiguelLopez-qi8wh I was on the 🔴B-Line (Red) at around 8pm on a Monday and I saw security. My primary line is the 🟡E-Line (Gold) on the East LA side, it was so surprising seeing security so late in the day
