Thank you for spreading exposure and love for this system! You got really lucky this turn 1, so your spreading of forces did exceedingly well, but I considered that risky! Note that the optional rule forces only choosing a point unit before revealing the defender (strength+tactic), not choosing the whole set of supports. If understanding well, those can still be decided after the reveal.
Just played my copy this weekend and really enjoyed it. Really enjoy the HQ bonus combos and Sniper event. Really can mess with your plans .... Great video
Great video (and great channel). Really enjoyed the first turn playthrough. Very helpful re: confirming how the rules work in action. It’s a good game.
Had played this game several times a month ago. And had some time to take the game for another spin today - and figured I’d watch your video again as quick refresh on the rules and gameplay in case I might have forgotten anything of note given that it’s been a month or so since last time I played. Impressed again by the quality of your video and clarity of your explanations of everything. So could not help but comment again to give you another thumbs up 👍on the video. 😎
I like this game a lot. The Stalingrad game in this series was excellent and this one is even a bit better with some of the evolution of the system. Easy set-up, lots of tension, small footprint and plays in 2-2.5 hours. All big plus factors for me. There will be a Berlin ‘45 game in this series at some point where you play a Soviet attacker against a German defender. Definitely looking forward to that one too.
Battle of Berlin sounds awesome! I bet the Battle of Hué would be really cool with this system as well. I hope to see a lot more games in this series, because it's a lot of fun and really well put together.
Can you combine different units together, not from the same unit designation, to attack a single area or do they always have to be from the same unit when attacking?
I got it off Etsy, from C4 Labs. Specifically, it is the C4labs Tall Dice Tower with Walnut stain. It doesn't look like they make that exact same one anymore, but close to it.
Learned something new. I thought I knew the rules, completely missed the overrun units stay fresh. Luckily I think I've had 1 overrun in 2 games. But that is a big difference for the US.

My pleasure, and thank you for the kind words!

Glad you enjoyed it!
Enjoying your play through. Noting the differences between this and the Stalingrad game. I like that you do not become spent if you overrun.

Glad you enjoyed it! It's a very good game, Michael Rinella and his crew have done a good job with the system.

Great play-through
Thanks Pete 👍

Thanks, Wayne great playthrough
Thanks Michael 😎
Good one Wayne, I have Stalingrad, just cannot get myself to open and play.
It's time. Do it!
Overrun is different, I like it

Wayne, where did you get your Dice Tower? I've been looking for a good one.
I got it off Etsy, from C4 Labs. Specifically, it is the C4labs Tall Dice Tower with Walnut stain. It doesn't look like they make that exact same one anymore, but close to it.
@22:00, why not split up the 7-6 Armor units? Instead of leaving the 5-6 armor to lead the 2nd attack?
It's just a tutorial, not a strategy guide on the best way to play/win. Feel free to split up the Armor units as you wish.
Great playthrough. Looking forward to the rest. Is overun different in this game? Didn’t know you could continue fighting.
Yes, it's one of a few small changes from the first game. I'll cover some of them in my review.
@@WayneHansen its a good idea. Might make it a bit easier as the first game was really hard.

If you are used to Stalingrad: Advance to the Volga, 1942, it's an easy mistake to make.
Where did you get the cool dice?
They are DVGs nation dice. They might be harder to find nowadays though.
They have the Japanese dice available, but not the US dice@@WayneHansen
Where is turn 2?
