  • Manila: The Savage Streets, 1945 a SOLO Wargame, puts YOU, the player in charge of the attacking and far more mobile American side while the game system handles the defending and largely static Japanese side. No two games will ever be the same. Each turn presents new and unique challenges for you in the form of random events, uncertain supply deliveries, and unknown Japanese area strengths and defensive strategies. Can you channel your inner MacArthur, and fee Manila from the Japanese?

Thanks for the very thorough video. 7:40 A Leader unit may only add to the Attack Value if a unit(s) under its command is participating in the attack (4.2.3, 9.5.2*). Command is indicated by the color-coded Infantry symbol NOT the Division symbol.
14:50 Paused units are only prevented from attacking. They are still free to move which can be helpful if you need to reorganize. So, you may not want to flip Paused units Spent unless you’re sure you’re not going to need to move them.
21:55 Another method for denoting Control is to mark newly Controlled Areas with the white side up and flip them to green side up during the End Phase (after adjusting the Control Marker(s) accordingly).
Just trying to help. Thanks again! Cheers.

Hi Robert, DOAH, you are correct, i totally missed the color differences within a Division. very good catch. Fair point about paused units, little things like that can lead victory! Denoting which areas you control and have/not activated is a personal preference, but your suggestion would totally work. I appreciate you watching the video and taking the time for such thoughtful comments, thank you.

Great video! Very clear. Really like the “style” of the presentation - arrows; titles; popups of different parts of game board & player aid card, rules excerpts, counters, etc. Good examples of movement and combat resolution.

Yes, video definitely would be very helpful as reference to someone who already has the game and is learning to play it. Video also would be very helpful to someone who is considering whether to get the game.
