- I bought a Surfola SF530 action camera with a wireless microphone from Amazon for £49.99. I bought it just to see how it performs. Purchased with my monetisation payment. With quite low expectations I proceeded with a review.
I also wanted to see if I could motovlog with it. It does not take a lavalier microphone so I attempted to do it with wireless microphone supplied. Please let me know your opinions below.
Thanks for watching.
Wowww, great video, thank you for your purchase and support👍👍👍
A good beginner camera at a great price. The external microphone is exceptional. Thanks for watching. Feel free to use all or parts of the video.
Great info mate looks good Don 🤠🇬🇧👍👍👍
It is probably better than the price suggests. Thanks for watching. I hope all is well with you guys.
Agree with Amos 👍
He definitely has it spot on. Still worth £50 I think.
Mic setting number 1 for me was more clear, but the faster you go the more distorted the sound becomes, but a great little camera for the money, and plenty of accessories too.
Happy new year to you and yours Gary 👍🏻
Thank you and a happy new year to you and your family also. I agree it is worth the price paid. If you were just starting out it would be an ideal little camera. Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment.
@@GaryGSF I tried vlogging once before and found it hard work, and having a deep Lancashire accent people / viewers complaining they couldn’t understand what I was saying 😂 so all I do now is take photos and the odd video when out on the bike just for memories sake for me. I was contemplating buying a drone, but the cost of em is just to much to pay, I couldn’t justify it.
@@Amos1965 I think the hardest part of vlogging is getting used to listening to your own voice. It always sounds horrible. I'm sure your accent is easier to understand than mine. You might be tempted to give it another go. As for drones the DJI Mini 2 SE records great video at 2.7k resolution and comes in under £300. A great job. Thanks so much for your comments and for watching the video in the first instance.
Unfamiliar accents can take a while to adjust to, usually not long. When I returned to Western Australia in '95, the ABC had a reporter, Claire Moody, with a think Sots accent. After two or three news reports, I began to understand her. Now, she's quite easy, and I think she's moderated her accent somewhat. Probably sounds Australian whenever she returns to Scotland.
Just keep at it.
thanks for the review. my question is : if you compare this one with the wolfang GA420 , WHICH ONE DO YOU RECOMMEND ??regards
I think the video quality is very similar in both cameras. The choice to me is down to what is more important to you. The Surfola has the great little wireless mic and when set a level 3 on your chest it gives great sound. The Wolfang is waterproof up to 10mts without a case. So the choice is great sound or the convenience of being waterproof without a case. I hope this helps.
@@GaryGSF thank you.
I would have liked a known good microphone in your helmet for comparison, I think part of the problem is the acoustics of your helmet and head.
I totally agree. My best camera for audio is a TomTom Bandit. I have videos with it and others. I will maybe do a comparison video soon. I need better weather to do this. Irish winters are a little cold 😜
@@GaryGSF Cold isn't a thing here just now. It was 42 here a couple of days ago. We're busy with heatwaves.
